Abstract

Conventional interest-based monetary policy has yet to be effective in overcoming monetary problems. So, this article is to discuss how to apply qard al hasan as one of the sharia monetary instruments in Indonesia. The method used is literature study. The results of the analysis and discussion show that Qard al Hasan's Monetary Policy can be implemented in Indonesia. This is because Qard al Hasan is very in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith and the implementation of Qard al Hasan-based monetary policy can not only stabilize prices and inflation, but also can increase national production or GDP and reduce the number of poor people. Bank Indonesia as the executor of Monetary Policy can apply the Qard al Hasan system, because Bank Indonesia has started to create a database of community groups that have Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, so that the implementation of Qard al Hasan in Indonesia can be implemented.

Abstract

Research Aims: This research aims to explore green banking disclosure among banks listed on IDX-IC shares in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: The method used involves conducting content analysis using indicators from research by Bose et al. (2018) and Handajani (2019). The total number of indicators is 21 items, covering the reporting period of 2019-2022. Research Findings: The research results help explain the development of the quality of disclosure in bank sustainability reports (green banking) in Indonesia, as well as the effectiveness of mandatory sustainability reports in the banking sector. Previously, some people believed that banks' contribution to environmental damage was relatively low. However, research results show that banks are beginning to concentrate on sustainability programs. In 2019, the percentage of disclosure was 50.71%; in 2020, it was 56.19%; in 2021, it was 57.76%; and in 2022, it was 62.74%. Although still relatively low, there has been a notable improvement in the quality of sustainability report information from 2021 to 2022. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the literature related to bank disclosures in their activities supporting the SDGs and discusses the extent to which banks prioritize environmentally friendly banking activities. Keywords: sustainable bank, green banking, content analysis

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the Indonesian Muslims' intention toward the intellectual property rights of Waqf. This article uses the quantitative method. This study used 210 respondents who have waqf knowledge. The data analysis method used is the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The authors' contributions were divided into two. First, the significance of the indicators that make up the variables of intention, Islamic Religiosity, understanding, product knowledge, and trust in waqf institutions regarding the waqf intellectual property rights. Second, the significance of the factors that influence the intention of the Indonesian Muslims in waqf intellectual property rights. It was the Islamic religiosity variable that had a positive and significant influence on the intention of waqf intellectual property rights. The findings of this research support the Indonesian Waqf Board in increasing the collection of waqf assets from Muslim communities in Indonesia. The Indonesian Waqf Board needs to implement various waqf programs to increase the knowledge and understanding of Indonesian Muslims regarding waqf intellectual property rights. The variable Islamic Religiosity needs to increase in Indonesian society since it has a positive and significant influence on the intention of waqf intellectual property rights.
