Abstract

General Background: The rapid advancement of digital technology has catalyzed the proliferation of online service platforms, intensifying competition among providers to deliver optimal user experiences. Specific Background: In this landscape, food delivery services such as GoFood Merchant play a crucial role, yet user dissatisfaction remains a persistent challenge. Knowledge Gap: Despite the abundance of user-generated reviews, comprehensive sentiment and pattern analysis for GoFood Merchant remains limited, particularly in the integration of sentiment classification with pattern discovery and actionable recommendations. Aims: This study aims to analyze user sentiment toward the GoFood Merchant application using the Naïve Bayes algorithm and identify common complaint patterns via the Apriori algorithm, followed by solution formulation through the 5W+1H approach. Results: Utilizing 1,243 Play Store reviews, the sentiment classification model achieved an accuracy of 87%, indicating robust performance. Further analysis of negative reviews revealed five dominant keywords: “driver,” “order,” “aplikasi,” “resto,” and “iklan.” Novelty: The integration of sentiment analysis, association rule mining, and structured problem-solving provides a novel framework for understanding and addressing user dissatisfaction. Implications: The findings offer strategic insights for enhancing user experience and strengthening GoFood Merchant’s competitive advantage in the saturated online service marketplace. Highlights: Identifies dominant user complaints using data mining techniques. Combines sentiment classification with complaint pattern discovery. Abstract

General Background: The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the banking industry, leading to the development of mobile banking applications that emphasize user experience and satisfaction. Specific Background: Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) introduced the Wondr by BNI application as an enhancement to its previous mobile banking service, offering a more integrated financial ecosystem. However, its relatively low user rating compared to its predecessor indicates potential service quality issues. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have rarely integrated Google’s HEART Metrics and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to holistically assess mobile banking user experience. Aims: This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction with Wondr by BNI using HEART Metrics—covering Happiness, Engagement, Adoption, Retention, and Task Success—combined with IPA to identify improvement priorities. Results: The findings reveal that overall satisfaction levels are high, with Happiness, Adoption, and Retention exceeding the 80% usability target, while Engagement and Task Success require improvement. Most attributes fall into the “Maintain Performance” quadrant, though several aspects such as responsiveness and notification reliability remain suboptimal. Novelty: This research uniquely applies a dual-method framework to uncover both experiential and performance-based gaps in mobile banking services. Implications: The results provide strategic insights for optimizing user experience and guiding continuous digital service innovation in Indonesia’s banking sector. Abstract

General Background: Quality risk mitigation is essential for maintaining production stability and product conformity in manufacturing industries. Specific Background: PT XYZ produces High Density Polyethylene plastic bags in various sizes, with the 15×30 size exhibiting the highest defect rate during January–September 2025, particularly folded, incorrect cutting, asymmetrical cut, and no handle hole defects. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies generally applied Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) or Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) separately or focused on limited defect types and specific production stages, resulting in less comprehensive defect evaluation. Aims: This study aims to systematically identify root causes and determine improvement priorities for dominant defects in 15×30 HDPE plastic bag production through an integrated FTA and FMEA framework. Results: FTA identified 15 critical basic events associated with operator control, machine condition, material handling, and maintenance practices. Defect probability values were 7.079% for folded, 9.314% for incorrect cutting, 9.741% for asymmetrical cut, and 6.635% for no handle hole defects. FMEA results showed the highest Risk Priority Number for folded defects (RPN 240), followed by incorrect cutting (RPN 210), asymmetrical cut (RPN 180), and no handle hole (RPN 175). Novelty: The study integrates deductive root cause modeling and quantitative risk prioritization within a single analytical structure applied to a specific industrial product size. Implications: The proposed actions, including SOP standardization, preventive maintenance, calibration, and operator monitoring, provide structured guidance for systematic defect reduction and sustainable quality management in HDPE plastic bag manufacturing. Highlights: Fifteen critical basic events were mapped across operator, machine, material, and maintenance factors. Incorrect cutting and asymmetrical cut showed the largest probability values among dominant nonconformities. Risk prioritization placed folded nonconformity at the top improvement rank based on RPN assessment. Abstract

General Background: Production inefficiencies in pharmaceutical manufacturing are frequently associated with process waste and packaging defects that reduce operational performance and product quality. Specific Background: In herbal oil production, the outer packaging stage exhibited recurring defects, motion waste, and overprocessing activities that increased lead time and generated non-value-added activities. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies on Lean, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma have predominantly focused on general manufacturing industries and rarely integrated Value Stream Mapping, VALSAT, Fishbone Diagram, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis within a comprehensive DMAIC framework for pharmaceutical herbal packaging processes. Aims: This study aims to identify dominant waste types, analyze the root causes of packaging defects, and formulate improvement recommendations using an integrated Lean Six Sigma DMAIC approach. Results: The findings indicate that the dominant wastes were defect, motion, and overprocessing. The major packaging defects consisted of wrinkled labels, untidy individual bottle wrapping, and perforated group packaging, with untidy individual bottle wrapping showing the highest Risk Priority Number of 294. The proposed improvements eliminated non-value-added activities and reduced necessary non-value-added activities, decreasing production lead time from 7,497.4 minutes to 5,382.4 minutes while increasing Process Cycle Efficiency from 26.89% to 37.46%. The process achieved a sigma level of 3.59 with an average DPMO of 18,016. Novelty: This study integrates Lean Six Sigma DMAIC with VSM, VALSAT, PAM, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA to provide a structured risk-based evaluation of waste and defects in herbal oil packaging operations. Implications: The results demonstrate that systematic waste reduction and defect mitigation support higher production efficiency and operational performance in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Highlights: Defect, motion, and overprocessing emerged as the dominant production waste categories. Risk evaluation identified untidy individual bottle wrapping as the highest-priority failure mode.
