Abstract

This research is intended to find out the effectively influence of  Dean’s Supervision on Lecturer’s Work Performance of Universitas Riau Kepulauan Batam. Academic year 2012-2013.  The population of this research were all 120 lecturers of Universitas Riau Kepulauan Batam. Academic year 2012-2013.  This research used total sampling technique and all 120 members of population are taken to respondents. The collection of the data of this research used questionnaire. The data analysis technique used linier regression with level significantly is 5 %.The result of the research showed that the effectively influence of Dean’s Supervisision have positive and very significant on effort to Lecturer’s Work Performance of Universitas Riau Kepulauan Batam on academic year 2012-2013 . Effective contribution of dean’s  supervision had 22,6%. It is mean 73,4%  simultaneously contributing of another factors.

Abstract

Structure and physiognomy of mangrove strongly influenced by the zonation that occurred in the area of mangroves growth. The differences of zona growth will effect  to differences in the structure and composition of vegetation. There are three zones in the mangrove area, which is caused by the difference of flooding which also resulted in the difference to the salinity. The differences of growth zone will performed to the type vegetation performance (Physiognomy).  This study is aims to prove the mangrove’s physiognomy that taken in the coastal area of Rempang Cate  Batam, on March 2014 to June 2014. This study was a survey with data collection using a vertical transect plots 100 m. Based on the research that has been done obtained difference vegetation physiognomy stands for every level of growth in each zone growth. Proximally found 13 species of mangroves in 8 families. The results of the analysis of the vegetation on the trees growth level are, Ceriops decandra have the greatest significance important value 167.55% on sapling (juvenille ) level is dominated by Rhizophora apiculata 120%, and seedling growth level dominated by Rhizophora apiculata  186.80%.

Abstract

Mangrove forest in the township of mangrove charcoal Kampung Bagan, Tanjung Piayu Batam, on the condition quantity and quality degradation . The existence of these ecosystems are increasingly threatened by the presence of a variety of human activities especially trees cutting to be  burn to made charcoal .            The purpose of this study to aim the level of destruction of mangrove ecosystems based on standard criteria and guidelines for the determination of damage to mangroves on the terms of the Decree of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia No. . 201/ 2004 .            Field survey methods used to identify mangrove vegetation with using  transects technique with a square plot , placed on 2 station. Station 1 Sungai Bongkok dan Station2 Teraling Island. We also use questioner to get some information from this communities. Selected respomden are consisting of persons who’s activities on mangrove charcoal conventional industry . Data analysis was performed using the method of vegetation analysis ( density , dominance , frequency , and the index of Important value ) .            Composition of vegetation formations in the study site consists of several species , namely:  Avicennia marina , Rhizophora stylosa , Rhizophora apiculata , Avicennia officinalis , Lumnitzera littorea , Ceriops decandra , Bruguera gymnorrhioza , Xylocarpus granatum and Hibiscus tiliaceus . The higher of Indeks Important Value is Rhizophora apiculata on every growth level. Density of trees per hectare in the study site consisting of two stations are 107 trees per hectare in Sungai Bongkok station , and 540 trees in Teraling Island.

Abstract

Tempat Pengolahan Akhir (TPA) Sampah Telaga Punggur Kota Batam setiap harinya menerima 700-800 ton sampah dan dihasilkan 25-30 ton air lindi. Air limdi tersebut potensial untuk dijadikan pupuk organik cair. Untuk melihat pengaruh pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar air lindi dari TPA Telaga Punggur ini, dilakukan percobaan terhadap tanaman Seledri (Apium graveolens L). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui karaketeristik pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar air lindi, (2) membuktikan adanya pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar air lindi terhadap pertumbuhan morfometrik tanaman Seledri (tinggi dan jumlah daun), (3) Mengetahui dosis optimum pupuk untuk pemupukan tanaman Seledri, dan (4) Mengetahui perbandingan tingkat pertumbuhan tanaman Seledri yang diberikan pupuk organik berbahan dasar air lindi dengan pupuk organik cair lain (dalam hal ini Pupuk NASA). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa: (1) Kandungan Total NPK pada pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar lindi dari TPA Telaga Punggur adalah 511.37 mg/l; (2) Pemberian pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar lindi dari TPA Telaga Punggur berpengaruh signifikan dan erat terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Seledri (dalam ini pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan pertambahan jumlah daun); (3) Berdasarkan dosis yang diujicobakan, dosis pupuk organik cair lindi 14 ml/L memberikan hasil pertumbuhan terbaik, walau demikian, dosis ini belum merupakan dosis optimal dan dapat dilakukan uji coba lebih lanjut dengan dosis yang lebih besar dari 14 ml/L; (4) Apabila dilihat dari variabel pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, secara statistik pupuk organik cair lindi dan pupuk organik cair NASA memberikan hasil pertumbuhan yang sama; dan (5) Apabila dari dari variabel pertambahan jumlah daun, secara statistik pupuk organik cair lindi memberikan hasil pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan pupuk organik cair NASA.

Abstract

The Research have done in mangrove area Telaga Punggur N :1 ° 2'39.33, E ;104 ° 7'8.83, had located near from the domestic waste dumpsite and processing (TPA) of Batam City and Sungai Bongkok Tanjung Piayu distric of  Batam City, Indonesia,  N; 1° 1'48.71, E; 104° 5'4.86 that used as comparison habitat. This research started from September to November 2015, have purpose to compare the population density and the difference of morphometrics of T. telescopium at two different observation sites. The sampling point determined by method of random sampling. The sample has taken by plot measurement 10x10 m and the sub plot measurement 1x1 m placed in 5 pieces plot measurement 10x10 m.The research show that there are differences significant in population density of  T. telescopium between the rich nutrition that show on station 1 Telaga Punggur to the low nutrition in the station 2 Sungai Bongkok. Nutrition organic material that contained in the leachate originating from runoff domestic waste dumpsite and processed allegedly giving effect to the high population of T. Telescopium. Differences heavy metal content was significantly correlated with morphometric (length and diameter) of T. Telescopium. This research shows the higher heavy metal content in Telaga Punggur station than into the Sungai Bongkok station, described T. telescopium size or morphometric (diameter and length) are relatively small.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem in the coastal of Batam island has severe pressure due to the pace of development, they are activities of mangrove land conversion for development purposes such as shipyard industrial area, residential area, commercial area, tourism area, fish farming, illegal logging of mangrove wood for conventional charcoal industry for carbon, illegal logging of mangrove wood for use as scaffolds in physical development and even illegal logging mangrove wood flagpole for the benefit of political parties. The activities of the above has made the declining quality and quantity of mangrove ecosystems along the coast of Batam. this prompted the city government to do the restoration of mangrove ecosystem efforts. But recovery efforts are already underway to date have not shown significant results. There is no statistical data in the form of increase in mangrove area in Batam. According to our evaluation for mangrove ecosystem restoration program that has been done by the government, it can be concluded that one failure is not an active community participation. To achieve the success of recovery efforts in the area of coastal mangrove ecosystems among coastal area in Batam Island, the government should involve people's active participation as stakeholders in all stages of the mangrove ecosystem restoration program. Pattern recovery program topdown approach that had been done must be change to the peoples active participation.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu kemudi pintar terhadap hasil belajar pada materi sistem ekskresi siswa kelas XI SMAN 4 Batam Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian quasi eskperimen dengan pendekatan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI terdiri 5 kelas, sampel data dilakukan menggunakan cluster random sampling terdiri dari 2 kelas sampel yaitu sebagai kelas eksperimen dan sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal pilihan berganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa, kemudian diolah untuk pengujian hipotesis dengan analisis chi-kuadrat, koefisien determinasi (R2) dan koefisien korelasi (r). Hasil pengujian diperoleh tidak ada perbedaan nilai hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol, sedangkan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) hanya sebesar 0.1123 (11.23%) atau dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) = 0.335 (3.35%), maka diperoleh kesimpulan tidak terdapat pengaruh media kartu kemudi pintar terhadap hasil belajar siswa dikelas XI SMA N 4 Batam.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan iklim kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi di kelas XI IPA SMAN 8 Batam Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian dengan desain korelasi sederhana dimana populasi terjangkau yaitu seluruh kelas XI IPA, kemudian pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana (simple random sampling) dengan cara undian dan terpilih kelas , dan . Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket iklim kelas (Y) serta hasil belajar siswa (X) yang diperoleh dari guru mata pelajaran yang kemudian dianalisis uji hipotesis dengan korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,349 (34.9%) artinya bahwa faktor iklim belajar kelas hanya memberikan konstribusi pengaruh sebesar 34,9% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. Sedangkan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0.591 (59,1%) memberikan gambaran bahwa ada hubungan yang cukup baik dan nyata antara iklim belajar kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI materi sistem reproduksi.

Abstract

Hutan Lindung Duriangkang merupakan hutan lindung terluas di kota Batam, yang memiliki peranan penting sebagai daerah resapan air dan menjaga persediaan air bersih dalam menunjang kebutuhan masyarakat sekitar. Keberadaan capung dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator lingkungan karena dalam proses perkembangannya capung membutuhkan lingkungan yang baik untuk menunjang setiap fase kehidupannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas capung di kawasan hutan lindung Duriangkang, Tanjung Piayu Batam. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode jelajah (visual day flying) di sepanjang jalur pengamatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 24 jenis capung yang terdiri dari 4 Famili dengan total 429 individu. Indeks Keanekaragaman total sebesar 2,709 yang tergolong sedang. Indeks Kemerataan (E) sebesar 0.852 yang tergolong tinggi. Indeks Kekayaan Jenis sebesar 3.794 yang tergolong sedang, Indeks Dominansi total sebesar 0.090 yang tergolong kategori rendah atau tidak terdapat jenis yang mendominansi. Indeks Kesamaan Jenis yang diperoleh dari perbandingan stasiun 1-2 dan 1-3 tergolong sama (62% dan 63%) dan indeks kesamaan jenis dari stasiun 2-3 tergolong berlainan (36%) sehingga kualitas ekosistem pada kawasan Hutan Lindung Duriangkang tergolong stabil dan merata. Kehadiran capung sangat erat kaitannya dengan keberadaan badan perairan di suatu habitat, lebih menyenangi habitat terbuka dengan vegetasi semak dibandingkan hutan dengan hutan dengan tutupan tajuk yang rapat.
