Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the characteristics, the feasibility practice and the effectiveness of developed module. This study used a model of development Nieveen began preliminary stages of research, prototyping stage, summative evaluation and systematic reflection and documentation. Validation of products was conducted by expert lecturers of chemistry and expert lecturers of media with the percentage of feasibility an average of 93.6% to the category of very feasible. The practice of module testing by the chemistry teachers and students of XII MIA grade and testing of learning plan. Trial by teachers got the average percentage of the feasibility is 94.75% categorized as very practice, testing students gained average percentage of the feasibility was 95% categorized as very practice. The precentage of learning plan was 95% categorized as very practice. The effectiveness of developed module obtained an average score of N-Gain students namely 0.4 categorized as moderate. Based on the percentage of feasibility and the effectiveness level, so it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) module oriented green chemistry in salt hydrolysis concept to improve the scientific literacy of students were feasible, practice, and effectively used to improve the scientific literacy of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Media Animasi Submikroskopik (MAS) terhadap kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan (N-gain) kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (p=0,002) dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, rata-rata N-gain kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol pada setiap sub materi pokok. Konsep komponen larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas eksperimen (rata-rata N-gain = 81,21%). Konsep pH larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas kontrol (rata-rata N-gain = 76,42%). MAS memuat konsep larutan penyangga pada level submikroskopik dengan jelas sehingga dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep pada level makroskopik dan simbolik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa MAS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok.

Abstract

Penerapan TIK dalam pembelajaran sangat diperlukan karena merupakan  salah satu tuntutan dalam menerapkan kurikulum. Salah satu TIK yang dapat diterapkan adalah video pembelajaran.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X  pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis quasi eksperimen yang dilaksanakan melalui rancangan” posttest-only control group design”. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang dibelajarkan dengan Media Video Pembelajaran Kimia dan kelas kontrol dengan metode konvesional.Tehnik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Data motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh menggunakan angket sedangkan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) ada pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap  motivasi  belajar.  Hal ini dibuktikan oleh signifikan uji  Z 0.00< 0,05 .Rata-rata motivasi kelas eksperimen (68.35) dan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (60.39) (2) tidak ada pengaruh video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan signifikan uji t 0.296> 0.05. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen73.8  dan kontrol 68.8.

Abstract

Matter of Redox Reaction has conceptual and symbolic characteristic, therefore student was claimed to understanding the concept. Quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach could give compatible condition for student to actively involved into learning process through experiencing and reaching their own knowledge so that positively impact to student conceptual understanding. The aim of this research was to developing knowledge and thinking skill to understanding chemistry concept. In form of quasi experimental, posttest only control group design was carried out. Sample consist of two class was selected by saturated sampling, experimental class was learned by quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach and control class was learned by conventional method and concept map approach. Data collected by reasoning objective test for student conceptual understanding measurement. The data was analyzed by t-test for hypothesis test. Based on conceptual understanding data analysis on significance level 5%, it was obtained thitung<ttabel  (0,558 < 1,995). This research showed that quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach was not influence student conceptual understanding in reqox reaction matter of learning.

Abstract

The learning method that teachers tend to use were expository and question and answer method. It impact many students become passive without being able to develop the ability so effected their learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the influence of learning model Problem Solving assisted chemistry articles to critical thinking skills of students. This research was quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Population of this study was all students of grade XI IPA totaling 243 students were divided into five classes. Sampling used was cluster random sampling so class XI IPA 5 as experimental group and class XI IPA 4 as control group. The data collection technique using description test. Data were analyzed with SPSS 16.0 for Windows at significant level of 5%. Initial test data were analyzed using t test. The results of the initial skills data analysis was significant value of 0.011 which means there were differences between the experimental group and control group. The final skills data were analyzed using Anacova test. The results of the final critical thinking skills data analysis was significant value of 0.000 which means there were differences between the experimental group and control group. Based on the study results concluded the learning model Problem Solving assisted chemistry articles influence to critical thinking skills of students in colloidal systems concept.

Abstract

Learning sources which served macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbol level in one unity weren’t suitable yet. Whereas those learning sources very needed in order chemistry concept which still abstract could be understood by students. This research aimed to develop interactive multimedia with macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbol approach on buffer material. This research was Research and Development. Procedure of developing product consisted of five stages, namely analysis, design, develop, implementation, and evaluation. On implementation stage was conducted try out effect of interactive multimedia toward students’ creative thinking skills. The data of creative thinking was gotten from essay test and analyzed used score of N-gain. Result of research showed that interactive multimedia was proper used and could improve students’ creative thinking skills with mean score of N-gain was 73,74% (high category).

Abstract

Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Untuk Mendeskripsikan Validitas E-Modul Interaktif Reaksi Redoks Dan Elektrokimia Berbasis Nature Of Science Untuk Penumbuhan Literasi Sains Siswa. Penelitian Ini Merupakan Penelitian Pengembangan Dengan Model Nieveen  Yaitu  Preliminary Research  (Review Literatur), Prototyping Stage (Merancang Petunjuk Desain), Summative Evaluation (Evaluasi Sumatif), Dan Systematic Reflection And Documentation (Menuliskan Keseluruhan Studi). Validitas Dari E-Modul Interaktif Ditentukan Oleh Hasil Validator Ahli, Praktisi Dan Ujicoba Terbatas Dari Siswa Dengan Analisis Deskriptif Kuantitatif. Berdasarkan Data Yang Telah Diperoleh, Hasil Validasi E-Modul Interaktif Yang Dikembangkan Diperoleh Persentase 82% Dari Validator Ahli Materi, 85% Dari Validator Ahli Desain Produk/Media, 83% Ahli Praktisi Dari Guru, Dan  86,8% Dari Hasil Uji Coba Terbatas Pada 15 Siswa. Jadi Dapat Disimpulkan  Kelayakan  E-Modul Interaktif Berbasisi Nature Of Science Untuk Penumbuhan Literasi Sains Siswa Dengan Kategori Sangat Layak Dan Dapat Digunakan Pada Uji Coba Skala Luas. Development of Nature Of Science-Based Interactive E-Module for Redox and Electrochemical Reactions for the Growth of Students' Science Literacy  This Research Aims To Describe The Validity Of The Nature Of Science-Based Interactive E-Module Of Redox Reaction And Electrochemistry For The Growth Of Students' Scientific Literacy. This research is a development research with a Nieveen model, namely Preliminary Research (Literature Review), Prototyping Stage (Designing Design Instructions), Summative Evaluation (Summative Evaluation), and Systematic Reflection And Documentation (Writing the Whole Study). The Validity Of The Interactive E-Module Is Determined By The Validator Results Of Experts, Practitioners And Limited Trials Of Students With Quantitative Descriptive Analysis. Based on the data that has been obtained, the results of the validation of the developed interactive e-module obtained a percentage of 82% from material expert validators, 85% from product/media design expert validators, 83% expert practitioners from teachers, and 86.8% from limited trial results. At 15 Students. So it can be concluded that the Feasibility of Nature Of Science-Based Interactive E-Module for Growing Students' Science Literacy With Very Appropriate Category And Can Be Used In Wide-Scale Trials.

Abstract

Desa Karang Sidemen terletak di pinggir kawasan hutan di bawah naungan Balai Tahura Nuraksa dan Balai Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (BPKH) Pelangan Tastura. Masyarakat desa tersebut memiliki masalah yaitu proses pengolahan buah kopi menghasilkan limbah kulit kopi dalam jumlah yang besar. Limbah tersebut menimbulkan pencemaran udara dan menjadi sumber penyakit akibat ditumbuhi mikroba. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas adalah pelatihan pengolahan limbah kulit kopi menjadi teh. Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah kulit kopi menjadi teh dan menambah jenis produk usaha sehingga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD), ceramah, dan praktik. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari persiapan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan sebanyak 24 orang yang berasal dari 8 Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH). Setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan terlihat adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam membuat teh kulit kopi dan adanya produk baru yang dapat dijadikan usaha masyarakat. Selain itu, masyarakat memberikan respon sangat baik pada semua indikator yaitu ketertarikan peserta, peningkatan pengetahuan peserta, kemudahan materi pelatihan, dan kebermanfaatan kegiatan. Empowering Communities through Utilization of Coffee Skin Waste into Tea Karang Sidemen Village is located on the edge of a forest area under the auspices of the Balai Tahura Nuraksa and the Balai Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (BPKH) Pelangan Tastura. The village community has a problem, namely the processing of coffee cherries produces large amounts of coffee skin waste. The waste causes air pollution and becomes a source of disease. The solution to overcome the problems above is training on processing coffee skin waste into tea. The purpose of this community service program is to improve community skills in processing coffee skin waste into tea and to increase the types of business products so that it affects the improvement of the community's economy. The activities were carried out using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method, lectures, and practices. The implementation phase of the activity consists of preparation, training, and evaluation. The participants of the activity were 24 people from 8 Forest Farmer Groups (FFG). After the activity was carried out, it was seen that there was an increase in community knowledge and skills in making coffee skin tea and the existence of new products that could be used as community businesses. In addition, the community responded very well to all indicators, namely participant interest, increased knowledge of participants, ease of training materials, and usefulness of activities

Abstract

Globalization has a negative impact on local wisdom and the character of the successor of the Indonesian nation. It causes the culture of other countries to influence local wisdom so that it experiences a shift and slowly disappears. It triggers youth violence and erodes morals, character, sense of humanity, and nationalism. Students who are dominated by the Sasak tribe are currently less familiar with their traditions and culture. The solution to this problem is to integrate local wisdom into formal chemistry learning. This study aims to identify local wisdom of the Sasak tribe that can be integrated in chemistry learning. The approach used in this research is qualitative. The research sample is cultural practitioners and the Sasak people. Sampling using purposive technique. The implementation of this research consists of four stages based on data analysis of the Miles and Huberman Model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data collection technique is triangulation, which combines interviews, observations, and documents. The results of this study are local wisdom of the Sasak tribe that can be integrated in chemistry learning. The local wisdom includes mopping with cow dung, dilah jojor, nyesek, and gendang beleq. The results of the analysis of local wisdom show that there is relevance to chemistry, namely the concepts of organic compounds, inorganic compounds, chemical bonds, elemental chemistry, instrument analysis, chemical separation, and chemistry of natural materials. The integration of local wisdom into chemistry learning has an impact on maintaining the existence of local wisdom of the Sasak tribe as well as strengthening the character of students

Abstract

This dissemination activity aims to improve the publication skills of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Kayangan, North Lombok Regency. The method of implementing this service is through outreach and demonstration. The instruments used to measure teachers' publication abilities are interviews and observations. Based on the results of observations and interviews during the training, around 70.59% of the training participants were able to show significant improvement, while the rest still needed to receive additional training so that they could produce scientific work correctly. The results of these observations were supported by the results of an interview with the Head of SMP Negeri 2 Kayangan who stated that this activity was very useful for teachers to motivate and improve their writing skills. They will apply the knowledge and skills in compiling scientific work obtained in the training, both individually and in groups to produce scientific work that can improve teacher professionalism. The results of the training activities showed that teachers were happy to receive refreshment regarding the importance of compiling scientific work.
