Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, banyak siswa yang masih memiliki kesulitan dalam menulis sebuah teks. Hal itu disebabkan karena beberapa faktor, baik dari siswa itu sendiri maupun dari guru yang mengajar. Dari sekian banyak strategi yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran writing, peneliti memilih untuk menggunakan strategi Silent Card Shuffle Strategy yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menulis. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 10 Padang, .Peneliti mengambil sampel menggunakan cluster sampling dimana dua kelas di pilih untuk dijadikan sampel. Kemudian peneliti menggunakan flipping coin untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasilnya diperoleh kelas VIII E sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Sebelum memberi treatment peneliti memberi pre-test di kedua kelas sampel untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa dalam menulis. Peneliti mengajar selama 8 kali pertemuan di kelas VIII E menggunakan strategy Silent Card Shuffle dan strategi Interactive Writing di kelas VIII D. Test terakhir berupa posttest yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai rata-rata antara kedua kelas sample. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa  strategi Silent Card Shuffle memberikan efek yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 10 Padang. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan tingginya nilai rata-rata differential di kelas eksperimen (VIII E), yaitu 1.57 dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (VIII D), yaitu 0.7, dan tingginya nilai T-tes di kelas experiment (3,14) dibanding dengan T-tes di kelas control (1.3).Oleh karena itu diharapkan kepada guru untuk dapat menggunakan strategi Silent Card Shuffle dalam pembelajaran dan pengajaran writing skill.

Abstract

Experiment is the core of physics subject. Most of physics phenomena taught in school, are not based on observation. They are taught verbally and in few cases they are correlated with phenomena found in daily life. The presence of virtual laboratory could solve the problems as well as provide alternative solution for lack of equipments of physics laboratory in most schools. This research explained the perception of students about utilization of virtual laboratory in physics to learn the topic of linear motion. The research carried out on student class X in SMAN 87 Jakarta Selatan in 2009/2010. Data is collected from quesioner and then analyzed descriptively. The result indicates that using virtual laboratory, students better understand the concept of linear motion and give them experience of more save and more compartable practicum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Profitability (ROA) moderates the effect of Liquidity (CR), Leverage (DER), and Operating Capacity (TATO) on Financial Distress, with a research focus on service companies in the tourism subsector, restaurants, hotels, and transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period. A sample of 55 companies was used which was taken by purposive sampling technique. Quantitative research method with causal research used in this study, with moderated regression analysis (MRA) as the analytical tool. This analysis results that CR has a partial effect on financial distress, while DER and TATO have no effect. In addition, this study found no evidence to suggest that ROA can moderate the correlation between CR, DER, and TATO in financial distress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between ESG factors, SGR, and firm value on stock performance in the ESG Leaders KEHATI and IDX80 sectors. The research method used is associative research method. Associative research is usually conducted to evaluate the influence or relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The sample in this study was selected based on certain criteria. In this case, the study used a sample of 51 companies listed on the ESGSKEHATI Index major evaluation for the period June to November 2023, and IDX80 major evaluation for the period August 2023 to January 2024. Testing the ESG variable shows that this variable has a positive influence on stock returns. This is known from the t-count value of 3.303 which is greater than the T table value (2.012), as well as the significance value (Sig.) of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05. Testing the SGR variable shows that this variable has a negative effect on stock returns. This can be seen from the t-count value of -2.969 which is greater than the T table value (2.012), and the significance value (Sig.) of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05. Testing the PBV variable shows that this variable has no significant effect on stock returns. This can be seen from the t-count value of 1.654 which is smaller than the T table value (2.012), as well as the significance value (Sig.) of 0.105 which is greater than 0.05. By analyzing the relationship between ESG factors, SGR, and firm value on stock performance, this research will provide valuable insights for companies in the ESG Leaders KEHATI and IDX80 sectors in developing sustainable business strategies and increasing market value.

Abstract

His research aims to determine whether financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and financial stress influence the financial behavior of PayLater users among millennials and Generation Z in Pontianak City. Using a positive data collection strategy and a sample size of 150 participants, this study adopts an associative methodology. Eligible participants are Pontianak City residents aged 17–44 years and PayLater users. Statistical methods employed in the analysis include multiple linear regression, correlation and determination coefficients, simultaneous testing (F test), and partial testing (t test). The analyzed data is linear, normally distributed, and shows no signs of multicollinearity, as confirmed by the classical assumption test. The research variables exhibit a strong relationship, as indicated by a correlation value of 0.753. According to the coefficient of determination (R²), the variables examined in this study explain 56.7% of the variance in financial behavior, while the remaining 43.3% is influenced by other factors not addressed in this study. Preliminary findings indicate that financial literacy and financial self-efficacy significantly influence financial behavior positively. In contrast, financial stress has a positive effect but is not statistically significant in influencing financial behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of mental accounting, financial literacy, lifestyle, and social environment on the financial behavior of teachers in Sanggau Regency. Data was collected from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in 2023 as well as through questionnaires given to 150 teachers as research samples. The results of the analysis show that the four factors together have a significant effect on teachers' financial behavior. In particular, lifestyle and social environment have a significant influence. The findings provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence teachers' financial behavior, and provide important insights for the development of programs and policies aimed at improving their financial literacy and financial behavior, thereby creating better financial stability for them.

Abstract

This research, the focus is: first, trying to find out how to apply the discussion method to the subject of Islamic Religious Education at Sekolah Alam Anak Sholeh Tarumajaya. Second, to find out how the learning outcomes of students in the Islamic Religious Education subject at Sekolah Alam Anak Sholeh Tarumajaya Bekasi. And third, to find out effective discussion methods and improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at Sekolah Alam Anak Sholeh Tarumajaya Bekasi. This research was conducted using a descriptive method method with a quantitative approach. The population was 23 students with samples taken using the slovin margin error formula (5%), which was 22 students with sampling techniques, namely random sample sampling. Data collection uses observation methods and questionnaires which are processed using Rxy and analyzed through t-test (significant level). The importance of this research, where learning using the discussion method has a positive and significant influence on learning motivation, because with the discussion method, educators try to create an effective learning environment and involve all active studentsthrough interactions that occur in the classroom. With the formation of small groups, students can interact and exchange ideas with their group friends to obtain wider information. This discussion method is very appropriate in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at Sholeh Tarumajaya Children's Nature Elementary School.

Abstract

Article presents critical thinking skills of in-service physics teachers (IPTs) and their behavior in online. This research is a survey that describes the profile of IPTs critical thinking skills and their behavior in online learning. This survey involved 46 IPTs of four semester at Open University in Indonesia. Data related to IPTs’ critical thinking were collected through the General Critical Thinking Test by Lauren Starkey, while the data related to IPTs’ critical thinking skills were collected through tests of critical thinking skills. Data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive technique. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was concluded that generally the IPTs’ critical thinking skills can be categorized dominated as low, while their behavior in online learning dominated only read and view the activities. The result of critical thinking skills and their behavior in online learning will be used as a reference in developing a problem based learning in the online physics learning context.

Abstract

Tujuan atas studi ini ialah untuk mengkaji apakah kognitif bias yang dilihat dari representativeness dan mental accounting serta emosional bias yang dilihat dari overconfidence dan loss aversion memiliki hubungan terhadap keputusan investasi investor saham yang dimediasi oleh risk tolerance dan dimoderasi oleh financial literacy. Studi ini yakni penelitian survey. Sampel dimana dipergunakan pada studi ini sejumlah 150 responden dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data mempergunakan SmartPLS untuk mengukur nilai outer loading, validity and reliability, R square, path coefficients, specific indirect effects, total effects. Hasil pengujian Structural Equation Model (SEM) menunjukkan bahwa risk tolerance bisa memediasi hubungan antara Overconfidence terhadap Investment Decision. Selain itu, risk tolerance juga bisa memediasi hubungan antara representativeness bias terhadap investment decision. Hasil pengujian juga menjelaskan bahwasanya variabel financial literacy bisa menguatkan hubungan antara variabel overconfidence terhadap investment decision
