Abstract

For the modernization of society, the adoption of technology is needed. It is very important to understand the factors that influence society's behavior toward accepting cashless system technology. People make risks and benefits as decision-making materials. In this study, we use internal factors from the UTAUT model and the influence of perceived risk and perceived value as intervening variables on the intention to use cashless systems. To collect data, we distributed questionnaires online, resulting in 119 samples that we used for further tests. The results of this study indicate that effort expectancy and perceived value have a direct influence on the intention to use cashless systems, while performance expectancy and perceived risk do not. The results of the Sobel test show that performance expectancy and effort expectancy have an influence on the intention to use cashless systems with perceived value as an intervening variable. From these results, cashless system technology providers maximize benefits, especially in ease of use. The disadvantage of this study is that the number of samples is not too large.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of green finance, intellectual capital, and firm size on corporate value, utilizing financial performance as a mediating variable. The research is centered on companies listed in the Kompas 100 Index from 2020 to 2023, involving a sample of 50 firms. The analytical approach employed is panel data regression using the Random Effect Model, supplemented by the Sobel test to evaluate mediation effects. The results indicate that green finance, intellectual capital, and firm size positively and significantly affect financial performance. Furthermore, both green finance and intellectual capital significantly influence firm value, although green finance demonstrates a negative coefficient. The size of the firm and its financial results do not significantly impact its overall value. The Sobel test demonstrates that financial performance serves as a significant mediating factor in the relationship between the three independent variables and the firm's value. In summary, the research model explains 19.8% of the variation in firm value. These findings have important implications for developing corporate strategies aimed at increasing firm value through the cohesive management of environmental factors, intellectual capital, and financial performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes behavioral factors, namely overconfidence, representativeness, and availability in Generation Z in making investment decisions, with financial literacy as a mediating variable. The research used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method. The data used are primary data with cross-sectional data types. Respondent data collection used a questionnaire distributed online to 250 respondents. The data analysis method used path analysis and the Sobel test. The results showed that overconfidence and representativeness positively and significantly affected financial literacy. The variables overconfidence, availability, and financial literacy positively and significantly affected investment decisions. This result is inversely proportional to the availability test on financial literacy and representativeness on investment decisions, indicating no effect. Financial literacy as a connecting variable can mediate the three behavioral biases on investment decisions.

Abstract

Financial literacy encompasses objective knowledge, personal skills, and individual expertise in managing and making personal financial decisions. With the increasing complexity of financial instruments, numerous studies indicate that individuals often lack adequate information and understanding of fundamental financial principles. This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, financial technology, risk perception, and locus of control on investment decisions, with education level as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative methodology and purposive sampling method, this study finds that a better understanding of financial literacy, effective use of fintech, appropriate risk perception, and a strong internal locus of control can lead to improved investment decisions. The findings highlight that enhanced financial education and the integration of financial technology are crucial for supporting more effective investment choices, thereby expanding the community’s investment knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to analyse the effect of corporate governance and risk management on banking performance in Indonesia. There are six predictors used to explain banking financial performance (GCG, NPL, NIM, LDR, BOPO and CAR). Sample selection resulted in 240 issuers during 2016-2023 with a total of 30 observations. Data analysis uses panel data regression by first selecting a research model. This research also controls two variables (SIZE and AGE) that are thought to affect the financial performance of banks. The results show that this model shows that the two main variables that significantly affect ROA are NIM and BOPO. NIM has a positive effect, indicating that an increase in net interest income will increase bank profitability. In contrast, BOPO has a negative effect, indicating that operational efficiency is very important in improving the financial performance of banks. Meanwhile, other variables such as GCG, NPL, LDR, and CAR do not show a significant effect, although CAR is close to the significance level.
