Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACTHaploid breeding through anther culture allows shortening of the breeding cycle and production of homozygous lines from a segregating population in the immediate generation. This technique has been used for crop improvement especially in rice. The objective of this research was to determine regeneration ability of twelve F1s, derived from reciprocal crossing between high yielding rice variety and rice tolerance to salinity, through anther culture. Completely randomized design with 20 replications was used in this research. Medium for callus induction was based on N6 medium + 2.0 mg NAA L-1 + 0.5 mg kinetin L-1 + 1 mM putrescine, while regeneration medium was based on MS + 0.5 mg NAA L-1 + 2.0 mg kinetin L-1 + 1 mM putrescine. Rooting were done in MS medium + 0.5 mg IBA L-1 + 1 mM putrescine. The result indicated that F1 derived from IR77674/Inpari 29 (3.1% green plants/total anther) was the most responsive genotypes in rice anther culture (high anther culture ability). After greenhouse grow out 125 putative double haploid plants were obtained (41.5% from total acclimated green plantlets).  Keywords: double haploid, green planlets, indica rice, salt tolerance

Abstract

Changes in learning patterns that are taking place rapidly due to Covid-19 have made every educational institution able to quickly adapt, especially in the use of learning technology. Teacher readiness in optimizing the use of technology to support the learning process is a new problem that arises when the concept of digital learning begins to be echoed. The use of technology can help teachers visualize material (such as in science learning Physics) and assist teachers in conducting evaluation activities in a practical and efficient manner. The limitations of teachers, especially in several educational institutions in South Tangerang to utilize technology in learning, are the background of the importance of training activities carried out. The results obtained after implementation refer to the evaluation of tasks and practices observed during the training process, indicating that there was an increase in teacher skills in utilizing technology to support the learning process. The teachers who have attended the training have been able to integrate the use of virtual laboratory applications and evaluate student learning outcomes using the quizizz application. The training on the use of learning technology is one of the forms of support from the Physics Education Study Program of FKIP UT to assist and assist teachers in carrying out technology-based learning activities, especially in Physics Science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This community service study aims to develop an innovative religious literacy–based model to strengthen religious moderation among students at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Ibnurusyd Lampung. The program involved 60 undergraduate students and 5 lecturers, who served as facilitators and co-researchers. It was implemented through structured educational activities, including religious literacy training, cross-perspective discussion forums, and reflective writing workshops. These activities were designed to address students’ limited cross-perspective understanding of religion and tendencies toward exclusive interpretations. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, positioning students and lecturers as active participants in collaborative learning and reflective action. The PAR cycle was conducted over three months and consisted of problem identification, participatory planning, action implementation, observation, and reflective evaluation. Program outcomes were measured using pre-test and post-test questionnaires, interviews, participatory observation, and reflective journals. Quantitative results show an average increase of 32% in students’ understanding of religious moderation, particularly in tolerance, balance (tawazun), justice (i‘tidal), and openness to differences. Qualitative findings indicate positive attitudinal shifts, including increased empathy, greater inclusivity, and enhanced collaboration. The program developed an innovative, religious literacy–based model that integrates cognitive, affective, and practical dimensions, reflecting a collaborative approach and potential replicability in other Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

Research aim: The study is intended to analyze the influence of debt-to-equity ratios, firm size, and current ratio on price-to-book value using the return on equity as an intervening variable.Design/Methodology/Approach: The population in this research was basic materials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2020. Meanwhile, the number of samples in this study was 70, collected by purposive sampling. Research findings: This study confirmed that DER had a good and strong effect on ROE. Firm size and CR had no considerable influence on ROE. ROE had a significant positive effect on PBV, while DER, firm size, and CR had no significant impact on PBV. In addition, ROE was susceptible to being an intervening variable of a DER but was not susceptible to being an intervention variable of firm size and CR variables.Theoretical contribution/Originality: The return on equity (ROE) variable served as the intervening variable in the study, while in previous studies, DER, firm size, and CR variables were not intervened by ROE.Practitioner/Policy implication: Researchers suggest that investors can use other variables to make investment decisions. Researchers can also further develop broader objects, such as using other sectors and adding or replacing other variables to determine the feasibility of investing.Research limitation: The scope of this study was relative, and there were many insignificances due to the limited variables and sectors used. Hence, increasing the number of variables and a wider sector will be able to strengthen this research’s outcomes. Further research must be able to produce significant values and affect the variables in question.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, income, and lifestyle on real asset investment decisions among police officers at the Sanggau Police Department. The research employed a quantitative associative method involving 150 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results show that financial literacy, income, and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. The regression equation obtained is Y = 1.070 + 0.155X₁ + 0.254X₂ + 0.297X₃, with R = 0.623 and R² = 0.388. The F-test (F = 26.137; sig = 0.000) and t-tests confirmed that all three variables significantly affect investment decisions. These findings indicate that strong financial literacy, stable income, and prudent lifestyle choices encourage rational investment behavior. Future research should include variables such as digital literacy, financial confidence, or investment motivation to broaden the understanding of individual investment behavior.
