Abstract

Pengelasan SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) digunakan untuk pengelasan menyambungkan material dengan memanaskan logam cair dan elektroda sebagai bahan pengisi. Cacat pengelasan adalah hasil dari las yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan, Cacat las yang terbentuk berpotensi menurunkan kualitas las sehingga dapat berdampak negatif pada penggunaan objek las selanjutnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh variasi arus dan sudut kampuh terhadap cacat pengelasan mengunakan material A 36. Didalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji liquid penetrantan yang didapatkan hasil cacat las seperti undurcut, porosity dan over spatter dikarenakan kotornya daerah material, tidak stabilnya pengelasan dan tinggi elektroda yang tidak sesui.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisa kualitas pelayanan yang sudah ada dalam memenuhi standar pelayanan angkutan laut berdasarkan PM 37 2015. Data yang digunakan yakni informasi terkait fasilitas Terminal Penumpang Gapura Surya Nusantara dan pengalaman pengguna jasa dalam aspek pelayanan yang didapatkan. Metode yang dipakai yakni metode ServQual (Sevice Quality) untuk mengetahui dan menilai kualitas layanan dari atribut masing-masing dimensi dengan menggunakan media kuesioner untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kepentingan atau harapan yang paling besar terletak pada dimensi bukti fisik (tangibles) sebesar 4,06. Untuk elemen kepuasan, nilai tertinggi juga ada pada dimensi bukti fisik (tangible) dengan nilai 3,84. Dan untuk nilai gap atau kesenjangan terbesar terdapat pada dimensi jaminan (assurance) dengan nilai -0,27. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Terminal Penumpang Gapura Surya Nusantara telah memenuhi standar pelayanan penumpang dalam sektor keselamatan, keamanan dan ketertiban, keandalan/keteraturan, kenyamanan, dan juga kemudahan. Peningkatan kualitas pelayanan bisa difokuskan pada dimensi jaminan (assuramce) karena memiliki gap yang paling besar. Hal tersebut bisa dilakukan dengan mengoptimalkan fasilitas kompensasi apabila ada permasalahan seperti keterlambatan keberangkatan dan juga permasalahan internal terminal yang dapat mengganggu kenyamanan penumpang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the root gap on bending test of SS 400 steel materials with different thicknesses of 10 mm and 12 mm using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) welding in the 3G Vertical up position without backing ceramic. This study uses quantitative method, and the standard used in the test is ASME section IX (2019). The results of the study concluded that in specimens within the thickness of 10 mm, the highest value was obtained at the root gap variation of 4.4 mm with a bending stress value of: 467.48 MPa. Then on the specimen with a thickness of 12 mm, the highest value was found in a variation of 3 mm with a bending stress value of: 805.37 MPa

Abstract

Pemilihan sudut deadrise pada planing hull dan pengaruh pada kurva beban propeler dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran yang jelas terhadap pemilihan mesin utama dan kecepatan kapal. Sehingga, tujuan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh sudut deadrise terhadap kurva beban propeler. Sudut deadrise yang dipilih antara lain 7°, 10°, 13°, dan 18°. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan teoretis dengan bantuan data series seperti data Propeller Wagenigen B-Series. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan tahanan karena perbedaan sudut deadrise mempengaruhi kurva beban propeler dengan nilai persentase perbedaan yang hampir sama. Perbedaan persentase nilai tahanan masing-masing sudut deadrise adalah 0,057% (rata-rata selisih tahanan yaitu 33 N) dan perbedaan daya propeler hanya berkisar 0,05%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan sudut deadrise pada penelitian ini memberikan pengaruh yang hampir sama dengan perbedaan nilai tahanan kapalnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze BKI Grade (KI-A) plate material using the pre-heat process to determine tensile strength and hardness. The method involved welding with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) type. The pre-heat variations used several temperatures, such as 50⁰C, 120⁰C, 220⁰C, and without heat treatment. The tensile strength obtained specimen without pre-heating had the lowest tensile strength of 442.64 MPa, and the specimen with pre-heating to 220⁰C had the highest average tensile strength of 450.11 MPa. The result showed that tensile strength was proportional to the pre-heating temperatures given. The hardness observation found that the hotter the pre-heating temperature obtained, the higher the hardness value of the base metal and HAZ would obtain. It was different with weld metal which would decrease. From those two parameters, it could be concluded that the most optimal pre-heat temperature was 220⁰C.

Abstract

Shipyards are often difficult to find information quickly and efficiently on every component of the workplace. A good information system is actually needed for the work process in the shipyard because the project head's planning for the distribution of the project workload being carried out will result in a smooth production process, which will affect the completion time of the work to be carried out. Each of these stages is the final result stage where at this stage the author will draw conclusions to answer the formulation of the packing report based on writing which is prone to loss and damage. The development of an android-based ship repair information system that can be used to quickly and accurately report data required by the central supervisor allows for full monitoring of the new ship building process, which is standard practice in many shipyards that have a research methodology to solve the problem.

Abstract

Welding is an important thing in shipbuilding. There are several types of joints and types of materials with different material thicknesses, on of which is Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). FCAW is a welding process that has a high level of productivity so that it is suitable for fabrication activities. Double-sided welding is often performed on joints. This causes time inefficiencies and costs quite a lot. Therefore, the solution so that welding is only done on one side, by using a backing ceramic. The Backing Ceramic is used to hold the welding penetration better and get better welding result. The purpose of this study was to determine the result of the strength of Backing Ceramic Weld on FCAW welding of A36 carbon steel material so that it can get perfect results, not defective and can be accepted according to the desired criteria.

Abstract

Ships have an important role in fishing operations, because ships are an aspect that determines success in the fishing proses. In order for a gillnet vessel to operate properly, it must have a large length, moderate width, and small draft height because these three values are the main values for ship dimensions. In designing fishing vessels, there are several stages, namely calculating the main dimensions, making lines plan, and calculate the resistance experienced by the ship. This study aims to determine the main dimensions of fishing vessels from gross tonnage in the Karangsong area, as well as to draw a line plan for the main sizes of fishing vessels and determine the resistance of vessels at their service speed. This research was conducted in the Karangsong Indramayu area from March to June 2023. The results of the research on the main sizes of fishing vessels with gillnets are L= 18,1 m, B= 4,6 m, D= 1,8 m, service speed boats designed to range from 0 to 12 knots using the holtrop method, the drag at a speed of 6 knots is 2,5 kN, at a speed of 9 knots is a 16,1 kN, and at a speed of 12 knots it is 49,3 kN.

Abstract

Fishing vessels in Indonesia conventionally use diesel engines as their main propulsion engine. However, the use of diesel engines has quite a bad impact on the surrounding environment. So the latest innovations using alternative energy are needed. One of them is the use of electric engines as a replacement for diesel engines in the ship's main propulsion engine. The use of this electric machine will have a friendly impact on the environment. Apart from that, you don't need to spend a lot of money to maintain this electric machine. We can see this by comparing the ship's thrust requirements with maximum speed.

Abstract

Luas hutan mangrove telah berkurang sebesar 40% dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir di Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan penggunaan lahan hutan untuk pembangunan pabrik, pelabuhan, dan pemukiman warga. Penggunaan hutan mangrove secara berlebihan juga mengakibatkan berkurangnya luasan hutan mangrove. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penanaman bibit mangrove secara serentak dan bersinergi antara institusi pendidikan seperti perguruan tinggi, sekolah, TNI AL, dan masyarakat pesisir. Kegiatan penanaman mangrove dilakukan di dua lokasi, yaitu Gunung Anyar dan TPI Kaliromo. Penanaman di Gunung Anyar dilakukan pada tanggal 20 September 2021 dan 27 Juli 2022. Sedangkan penanaman di TPI Kaliromo dilakukan pada tanggal 19 dan 26 Juli 2022. Kegiatan ini sebagai momentum untuk meningkatkan kesadaran bahwa hutan mangrove harus tetap dilestarikan karena bermanfaat untuk menjaga ekosistem pesisir, mengurangi abrasi pantai, dan melindungi pantai dari gelombang laut atau tsunami.
