The product produced in this study is a guidebook for using the ILC3 learning model in seminar courses. The results of the study show that the Syntax of the ILC3 learning model, namely Identify, Literature review, Construct, Create, and Communicate, is valid for use in seminar learning with an average of 84.6% with a very valid category. The ILC3 learning model is practically used in seminar learning, these results are in accordance with data analysis in small group tests which show an average of 85.9 in lecturer responses indicating very practical, an average student response of 87.8 indicating very practical, an average student ability result of 84.1 in the very practical category. The results of the large group test showed an average of 87.4 in lecturer responses indicating very practical, an average student response of 88.5 indicating very practical, an average student ability result of 88.5 in the very practical category. The ILC3 learning model is effective in seminar learning as seen from the results of student tests. in the small group test it has a Ngain value of 0.8 with a high category. Meanwhile, in the large group test, the Ngain value was 0.9 with a high category.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of educational game tools (APE) Dasuka (syllable dice) on the early reading ability of children aged 5-6 years in Markus Kindergarten. This study is motivated by the fact that there are still children aged 5-6 years who have difficulty in recognizing letter sounds, reading syllables, and reading simple words. In addition, the lack of use of interesting learning media and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood needed to support the development of early reading skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental research type and a One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The population in this study was 27 children aged 5-6 years in Markus Kindergarten, with a sample of 9 children selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and the N-Gain Test. The results of the study showed that the average child's early reading ability increased from 20.44 in the pre-test to 34.33 in the post-test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results. The Rank Test obtained an Asymp, Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.008 < 0.05, so there is a significant difference between children's initial reading ability before and after treatment. The N-Gain test results show an average value of 0.7646 which is included in the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the APE Dasuka (syllabic dice) has a significant effect on the initial reading ability of children aged 5-6 years at Markus Kindergarten

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the teacher's role as facilitator and model in stimulating the expressive oral language skills of children aged 4–5 years at TK Swasta Katolik Budi Murni 2 Medan. The study is grounded in the importance of the teacher's role in supporting children's language development through daily learning interactions. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the classroom teacher and fifteen children in group A as research subjects. Data were collected through five days of non-participant observation and semi-structured interviews with the classroom teacher, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with technical triangulation applied to ensure the credibility of the findings. The results show that the teacher's facilitator role was realized through the provision of varied, multimodal learning activities, a flexible and supportive learning environment, and diverse instructional media. Meanwhile, the teacher's model role was realized through consistently demonstrating proper and polite Indonesian language use and providing constructive responses to children's speech. Both roles were found to operate in an integrated and complementary manner, proving effective in optimally supporting the development of children's expressive oral language. These findings confirm the relevance of the facilitator-and-model role framework and social learning theory in early childhood language stimulation practice.
