Abstract

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a major franchise in the Hollywood film industry that tells the story of various superheroes in one story continuity. The popularity of the MCU has skyrocketed in society for 14 years ago and has influenced the development of popular culture today. This paper aims to review the potential of the MCU as one of the big trends in the millennial era in the practice of cinema counseling. The review method used is a literature study, the author reviews various related literature to present a comprehensive discussion. The results of the review suggest that the MCU has great potential to be utilized in cinema counseling, especially for millennial children and teenagers. This is because in essence film is a medium that has been tested to be effectively used to shape, reconstruct, and change the mindset of individuals. In addition, the MCU as a group of superhero films also inserts various moral messages and life lessons that can be abstracted, and used as a metaphor by counselors in the practice of cinema counseling. However, more research is still needed regarding the use of MCU in cinema counseling to become a solid foundation for counselors to practice it.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the main group elemental chemistry textbooks based on problem based learning in improving student learning outcomes. The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were sixth year chemistry education students at Universitas Sriwijaya for the 2021/2022 academic year. Test instruments was implied in this research and analyzed using statistics with N-gain data. Abstract

The lack of interactive teaching materials and students' difficulties in understanding concepts and calculations in calorimetry prompted the development of e-LKPD based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) using Liveworksheets for class XI.1 students at Srijaya Negara High School, Palembang. This study aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective e-LKPD. The development follows the ADDIE model and includes Tessmer's formative evaluation stages: self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. Data was collected through interviews with chemistry teachers, a needs analysis questionnaire administered to 35 students, a walkthrough with two experts who assessed the content, design, and pedagogical aspects, a practicality questionnaire administered to three students in the one-to-one stage and nine students in the small group stage, as well as pre-tests and post-tests administered to all 35 students. The validity test results showed an average validity score of 0.99, which falls into the very high category. The practicality of the e-LKPD in the one-to-one stage was 89.33% and in the small group stage was 91.82%. The effectiveness test results showed an N-Gain value of 0.80, which falls into the high category. Therefore, this e-LKPD is deemed valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students' understanding and engagement in calorimetry learning.

Abstract

Salah satu tantangan yang sering dihadapi oleh guru kimia adalah minimnya ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana untuk menunjang pelaksanaan praktikum di laboratorium. Pada program studi pendidikan kimia Universitas Sriwijaya telah dilaksanakan beberapa riset/penelitian yang berkaitan dengan inovasi alat praktikum kimia. Salah satunya yaitu penelitian “Pengembangan Alat Elektroforesis Koloid Melalui Modifikasi Sumber Arus Listrik”. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penyuluhan mengenai alat praktikum inovatif yang telah dikembangkan melalui riset/penelitian tersebut.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan: penyampaian materi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan mencakup koordinasi antara pengabdian dan pihak terkait. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, materi disampaikan melalui presentasi, diikuti dengan praktik penggunaan alat elektroforesis koloid oleh peserta. Dari kegiatan pengabdian dapat disimpulkan bahwa khalayak sasaran pada mulanya terkendala melakukan praktikum dikarenakan kurangnya fasilitas. Dengan diperkenalkan dan dipraktikkan penggunaan alat praktikum inovatif, khalayak sasaran menjadi berminat dan membuat ide untuk mengembangkan alat praktikum inovatif lainnya yang sesuai dengan materi SMA. Alat praktikum inovatif ini mudah digunakan oleh guru dan dapat membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan.

Abstract

Based on the situation analysis, the formulation of the problem is how to equip the ability, knowledge, and skills of Compiling One Page RPP for chemistry teachers in Sekayu City, South Sumatra and Chemical Education students, FKIP Sriwijaya University. Service activities are carried out by providing counseling for chemistry teachers and village lectures for students, preparing a Chemistry Learning Implementation Plan. The purpose of this service is to prepare an example of an integrated high school and vocational high school chemistry learning program plan with PBL, Project, or STEM models. This service activity is beneficial for teachers and students to the community through chemistry. 14 Sekayu City chemistry teachers and 8 chemistry students are the target audience for this community service activity. The target of dedication was achieved, from the results of the evaluation of the activities of each target audience, they compiled an example of a One-Page Learning Implementation Plan. The Learning Implementation Plan has the nuances of chemistry teachers and students close to the daily activities of the community. Suggestions from this community service activity are that the target audience can socialize and implement this One Page Learning Implementation Plan in their respective schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi IPA Bentukbentuk benda dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada kelas III SDN 238 Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari prasiklus dan 2 siklus dengan tahapan model spiral menurut Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu: 1) Perencanaan Tindakan (Planning); 2) Pelaksanaan Tindakan (Acting); 3) Observasi (Observing); dan 4) Refleksi (Reflecting). Subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas III SDN 238 Palembang dengan jumlah 28 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan Observasi dan Lembar Instrumen hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase pada prasiklus sebesar 59,6% menunjukkan belum mencapainya ketentusan hasil belajar. Pada siklus I pada penggunaan media Educaplay adanya kenaikan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 77,8% sedangkan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan lagi sebesar 86,1%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas III SDN 238 Palembang penerapan Game Edukasi Educaplay pada materi IPA Bentuk- bentuk benda menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.
