Abstract

Most of the research using the Arima (p,d,q) focused on the accuracy of prediction results. Unlike other research, this work examines the training data period suitable for modeling ARIMA (p,d,q) in stock prices. Due to the volatile movement of stocks, the number of training data is assumed to affect the LQ45 prediction results. This research used five kinds of training data, including daily data for up to 5 years. With these five types of data series, the Arima (p,d,q) was made for LQ45 stocks. The prediction was conducted for two months after obtaining the model 5 data series of LQ45 stocks. Two months of data were used for January and February 2021 prediction test data. The results of this prediction were compared with the test data to produce the MAPE value. Based on the observations and calculation results, the most suitable stock to use the Arima (p,d,q) was ASII. In 5 years, the stocks produced the lowest MAPE value of 0.05%. Relatively stable LQ45 stocks with no change in the Arima (p,d,q) using four consecutive data series were ACES, CTRA, INTP, MIKA, and TLKM. Based on the MAPE value analysis performed in this study, we concluded that the best period to use the Arima (p,d,q) for LQ45 stocks is two years, with a median error rate of only 6.0091%.

Abstract

Research in mathematics and statistics can be categorized into two main types: analytical-theoretical research and applied-practical research, both of which make significant contributions to statistical analysis. This research is particularly relevant to the analysis of large-scale binary variables, where the binomial distribution is often used as the basis for computation. In such cases, the normal distribution can serve as an approximation to the binomial distribution, reducing the complexity of calculations. This study aims to demonstrate that the normal distribution can be used as an approximation for the binomial distribution. Two proof methods are presented: one utilizing the moment-generating function and the other employing Stirling's formula. The methodology involves a literature review by gathering and analyzing various relevant references. The findings indicate that as the value of ???? n increases, the difference between calculations using the binomial and normal distributions approaches zero exponentially.

Abstract

Letters are one of the most common forms of communication in people's daily lives. Activities related to letters are commonly referred to as correspondence. Duta Wacana Christian University Yogyakarta is one of the institutions where correspondence activities are still carried out for internal organizational purposes Initially, correspondence activities at UKDW were still done manually by using physical letters, which were sent to the intended address by asking people to deliver them directly. However, the correspondence process is becoming less efficient. The process that must be passed is quite long, so it takes a lot of time and energy. This incoming and outcoming lettters management website was designed to help and facilitate UKDW employees in carrying out correspondence activities, which were formerly performed manually, through the use of a website. This research uses design thinking as the design method. The Design Thinking method consists of several steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. For the testing phase, the author uses the Usability Testing as a method to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction of the website.

Abstract

Symbolic-Mathematical Thinking is a technique of thinking to solve mathematical problems. This technique is the result of a combination of Symbolic Logic and Mathematics. In general there are three symbolic logic activities that are applied to Mathematics, namely reading symbols, logical equivalents and logical implications.                 This Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM)  has activities to train Symbolic-Mathematical  thinking using 15 strategies for BOPKRI 2 high school students.                 The results of this training are three important things. The first result is the type of problem that is most difficult for students to face is the type of problem that requires drawing conclusions that refer to standard mathematical definitions. The second thing is for the type of use of model settlement strategies in a system and the type of seeing patterns, students tend to be able to solve problems after being given instructions on how the model fits the problem and the pattern the problem has. Whereas the third is from two groups of students the class turns out that the continuous class attending the training gets more symbolic-mathematical thinking skills improvement than the other classes.

Abstract

The essence of the equivalence of P and Q is a condition that shows that P and Q have the same meaning based on the established reference. Achieving equivalence between P and Q involves transforming the form of P into Q while consistently obeying the established reference. The process of transforming P into Q using the symbols white circle and black circle while maintaining their equivalence is known as the equivalence step. The essence of logical equivalence steps are simplification, substitution and construction. The purpose of this study is to explore the process of the equivalence step more deeply to simplify the expression of propositions and ensure that the meaning of the symbols remains consistent and does not change the meaning of its original context after the equivalence step is carried out. The method used in this study has four stages, namely the preparation of equivalence guidelines, the development of problem-solving questions, simulation experiments, and the last is error evaluation. This study concludes that errors in the equivalence step often occur due to misunderstandings in the use of logical relationships such as "and," "or," and "if-then." Furthermore, incorrect equivalence steps can also occur due to inconsistent steps, steps that do not follow the rules of precedent, and steps that result in contradictions.

Abstract

TMLESS Studio is an entertainment company based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, which is engaged in content creation ranging from films and music videos to series and documentation. The documentation service offerings provided by TMLESS Studio are still carried out by introducing themselves directly to prospective customers or with the help of old customers who recommend their services to prospective customers. TMLESS Studio has tried to use social media as a marketing medium, but this is still considered to have no impact on service sales. The solution that will be carried out to help solve this problem is to design a website to display complete information on TMLESS Studio's work and documentation service offerings in one area. The TMLESS Studio website will be designed using the Design Thinking method which includes 5 stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. At the test stage, testing will be carried out using the Single Ease Question (SEQ) using the help of Google Sites and Google Form to find out whether the tested website can overcome the initial problem. The results of the SEQ respondent data average test show that the website being tested is in the very easy category (average = 6.19). The results of the average test of Tasks 5, 6, 7, and 8 regarding information on works and services offered by TMLESS Studio are in the very easy category. The results of this test show that the application of the stages of the Design Thinking method and the implementation of SEQ in the design of the TMLESS Studio website being tested has succeeded in overcoming the problems and can be used as a permanent TMLESS Studio website.
