Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi optimal bahan dalam pembuatan briket pakan sapi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian adalah Rancangan acak lengkap ( RAL ). Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan 3x sehari selama 7 hari. Data yang diambil adalah sisa pakan pada setiap pemberian ransum. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis varians (ANAVA). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah komposisi briket paling optimal adalah pada rancangan percobaan RS3 yaitu dengan komposisi hijauan 50, molase 30, dedak 10 dan garam 10.

Abstract

Perubahan kondisi lingkungan akibat pembangunan sarana dan prasarana akan mempengaruhi kehidupan bagi beberapa organisme termasuk burung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan keanekaragaman burung pada dua habitat yang berbeda di lingkungan kampus UNS sehingga data yang dihasilkan memberi gambaran kualitas daya dukung lingkungan UNS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April - Mei 2021 di Danau Fakultas Pertanian (FP) UNS dan kawasan Hutan Fakultas Kedokteran (FK) UNS. Subjek penelitian merupakan burung-burung yang terdapat di kedua lokasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pointcount yakni mengamati subjek penelitian dengan diam di suatu tempat dengan batasan jarak tertentu. Analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif untuk menguraikan jenis spesies, dan analisis secara kuantitatif untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman jenis, indeks kelimpahan jenis, dan indeks dominansi. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan mulai dari penentuan lokasi, penentuan transek, penentuan titik hitung, pengamatan, akumulasi data, analisis data, dan terakhir kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan nyata keanekaragaman jenis burung dari kedua lingkungan yang diamati. Danau FP UNS memiliki keanekaragaman sebesar 2,016 sedangkan Hutan FK sebesar 2,086. Kategori keanekaragaman tergolong sedang sehingga dapat disimpulkan daya dukung Danau FP dan Hutan FK UNS cukup dengan kestabilan ekosistem yang cukup dan tekanan ekologis rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa calon guru Biologi pada matakuliah Microteaching. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa prodi pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta yang menempuh matakuliah Microteaching. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang menempuh matakuliah Microteaching pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016 sejumlah 190 mahasiswa. Sampel diambil secara purposif sehingga diperoleh tiga kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas A, B, dan C yang berjumlah 59 mahasiswa. Aspek keterampilan dasar mengajar yang dianalisis meliputi keterampilan menyusun skenario pembelajaran, membuka pelajaran, menjelaskan, bertanya, mengelola proses pembelajaran, mengadakan variasi, menggunakan media pembelajaran, memberikan penguatan, dan menutup pembelejaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian kinerja (performance assessment). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data diketahui bahwa skor capaian keterampilan dasar mengajar pada matakuliah microteaching mengalami peningkatan pada kedua tampilan latihan mengajar. Jika dilihat dari rata-rata capaian setiap aspek maka skor keterampilan menyusun skenario pembelajaran sebesar 71.65, membuka pelajaran sebesar 69.5, menjelaskan sebesar 71.9, bertanya sebesar 71.3, mengelola proses pembelajaran sebesar 70.7, mengadakan variasi sebesar 70, menggunakan media pembelajaran sebesar 73.5, memberikan penguatan sebesar 71.7, serta keterampilan menutup pelajaran sebesar 70.8. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa sudah cukup  baik pada beberapa aspek namun, pada aspek keterampilan membuka pelajaran, mengadakan variasi, dan menutup pelajaran masih perlu dilatihkan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Biology learning in accordance with its essence should emphasize direct experience so that students are able to explore the natural surroundings scientifically. Practicum is a vehicle to provide direct experience to students. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of distance learning, the implementation of the practicum cannot run as it should. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of Biology/Science practicum in secondary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic T.A 2020/2021. This research is a descriptive study that was conducted from February to July 2021. The subjects of this research were Biology and Science teachers in high schools throughout Solo Raya. The data was taken by using a questionnaire technique which was distributed through google form. The number of respondents in this study were 41 people. The results of the questionnaire analysis on the implementation of Biology and Science practicums in high schools throughout Solo during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was found that 65.9% carried out practicums during the COVID-19 pandemic while 34.1% did not carry out practicums. The implementation of the practicum uses various platforms such as google meet and moodle app, zoom meeting and youtube, google classroom, and so on. Regarding the effectiveness of online practicum implementation, 92.7% said it was not effective while 7.3% said it was effective.

Abstract

Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) is a versatile plant, findable in Indonesia (Java, Bali, North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi). The leaves are green to brown, round, 1-2.5 cm long and 4-8 mm wide, rounded tips, rounded base of blades, and flat edges. The content contained in tamarind leaves such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids is believed to inhibit Propionibacterium acnes activity. This study aims to determine the effect of tamarind leaf extract ointment in controlling the growth of the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes that triggers acne. This study applied a Completely Randomized Design with 96% ethanol maceration method. Propionibacterium acnes was evidenced by the inhibition zone formed. The diameter of the inhibition zone of the 25% ointment was 1.235 cm, the 30% concentration was 1.385 cm, the 35% concentration was 1,680 cm, and the ointment base was 0 cm. The ANOVA test showed a significant value of 0.000<0.05, so there was a significant difference between the inhibition zone and the 95% confidence level. The results of Post Hoc test were P<0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the bases with formulas 1, 2, and 3. Thus, tamarind leaf extract ointment had a strong inhibitory effect on Propionibacterium acnes.

Abstract

Mitra UKM Puspita batik, merupakan salah satu pelaku UKM batik warna alami yang memproduksi bahan pewarna alami khusunya indigo dalam bentuk pasta, batik cap, serta shibori. Keseluruhan produk batik menggunakan warna alami khususnya warna alami indigo yang berasal dari tanaman Indigofera. Mitra mendapat banyak pesanan pewarna indigo dari berbagai negara diantaranya Italia, Israel, Jepang, Malaysia dan Israel. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra antara lain: 1) kuantitas bahan baku pada musim tertentu menurun, 2) Daun menguning, dan rontok. Kendala ini disebabkan kurangnya air pada lahan dan intersitas suhu yang tinggi menyebabkan kerontokan daun, dan kematian tanaman Indigofera. Tujuan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM-UNS) adalah 1) budi daya tanamana Indigofera di lahan mitra, 2). memasang instalasi pengairan sistim sprinkler irrigation pada lahan tanam Indigofera milik mitra, 3) meningkatkan produksi bahan baku tanaman Indigofera. Lahan tanam Indigofera di Srandakan mendiami lahan kering, sehingga ketersediaan air terbatas, dan mengandalkan air hujan. Diperlukan optimalisasi penggunaan air dari sumber air yang tersedia, baik air permukaan (air sungai, embung/danau) maupun air tanah dalam, yaitu melalui irigasi hemat air. Irigasi sprinkler yang diterapkan dapat meningkatkan layaran irigasi, berarti dapat meningkatkan indeks pertanaman atau meningkatkan luas tanam sehingga produksi Indigfera meningkat.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences: (1) critical thinking skills, (2) interest in learning, and (3) critical thinking skills and learning interests of class XI students using the guided inquiry learning model accompanied by learning videos. The method used is a quasi experiment with a posttest only control group design. The population in this study was class XI MIPA with 289 students and the sample used was class XI 4 and class XI 5 with 84 students. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Collecting data on critical thinking skills uses a test, while collecting data on interest in learning uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the t test and the manova test. The results showed that H1 (t test) obtained the value of Sig. = 0.041 (<0.050), H2 (t test) obtained Sig. = 0.041 (<0.050), and H3 (manova test) obtained Sig. = 0.007 (<0.050). It was concluded that there were significant differences: (1) critical thinking skills, (2) interest in learning, and (3) critical thinking skills and learning interests of class XI students using the guided inquiry learning model accompanied by learning videos.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di era revolusi 4.0 menuntut kompetensi pendidik yang dapat menguasai teknologi dan pemanfaatannya dalam proses belajar mengajar. Teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar dapat membantu memvisualisasikan materi serta mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) merupakan sebuah kerangka kerja dalam mendesain model pembelajaran baru dengan menggabungkan tiga aspek utama yaitu teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten (materi pengetahuan). Pengembangan bahan ajar dengan mengintegrasikan materi, model pembelajaran, dan teknologi menjadi kompetensi yang penting dikuasai oleh pendidik sebagai upaya adaptasi terhadap perkembangan revolusi industri 4.0. Bahan ajar perlu diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran tertentu sebagai basis kegiatan siswa. Model pembelajaran guided inquiry menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan ruh pendekatan saintifik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal dan beberapa penelitian terdahulu, masih belum banyak guru yang mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis guided inquiry–TPACK. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan tentang pengembangan modul ajar berbasis guided inquiry-TPACK. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 sampai dengan 19 Juli 2022 dengan peserta sebanyak 21 orang dari berbagai instansi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring synchronous melalui zoom untuk penyampaian materi dan secara asynchronous melalui Schoology untuk kegiatan praktik penyusunan bahan ajar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah dokumen bahan ajar elektronik yang disusun oleh peserta pelatihan dengan mengintegrasikan TPACK dan kegiatan pembelajarannya berbasis guided inquiry. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi pengembangan kompetensi pedagogi guru.

Abstract

The study was conducted in the home garden of Tanen hamlet in Ngargoyoso, Karanganyar, Central Java, Indonesia, which is situated at an elevation of 772 meters above sea level. The existence of Sukuh Temple near Tanen with Keris reliefs shows Keris culture in this region since ancient times. This study aims to identify plant species in the Tanen home garden suitable for Keris culture and understand their potential roles in Keris culture. Sampling was carried out using the cruising method, following the village road. Data on the plants on-site were collected through surveys conducted in the home garden. The plant species were classified with the assistance of The Mountain Flora of Java and www.theplantlist.com. The plants found were determined to be related to the Keris culture. The data were qualitatively analyzed to determine the role of each plant species in Keris culture and quantitatively assessed using the species richness index. The home garden in Tanen comprises a variety of species, with a species richness of 26 belonging to 19 families. Herbs make up 38% of the plant habitus in Tanen's home garden, which also has shrubs (31%), trees (23%), and bushes (8%). The most commonly used plant organs are leaves (24%) and flowers (24%). The potency of plants in the Tanen home garden for Keris culture is: for the name of the plant called in the blade of the Keris; for warangka (sheath) and deder (hilt); for equipment in Keris making; for cleansing agents; for fragrances (fragrant agents); and offering (food ingredients, spices). The primary potential use of plants in Tanen's home garden is for offering.
