Abstract

The Effectiveness of Subak Gede Sukawati Organizational Communication in Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. One of the subak that exist in Bali is located in Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, namely Subak Gede Sukawati with 13 subak tempekan underneath. Subak Gede Sukawati is led by a pekaseh gede, and each subak tempekan under it is led by a pekaseh tempekan. Pekaseh gede communicates with pekaseh tempekan which is then passed on to krama subak. The purpose of this study was to find out how the process and effectiveness of Subak Gede Sukawati organizational communication. The selection of research locations was carried out purposively. The population in this study amounted to 1,138 people, with a total sample of 56 people, using purposive sampling and simple random sampling. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that Subak Gede Sukawati's communication process was classified as good to very good which was stated by 45% of respondents and 46% of respondents with an average score of 82.5. A good communication process is conveyed orally which exposes the sensory aspect of hearing. The effectiveness of Subak Gede Sukawati's organizational communication is classified as effective to very effective which is stated by 63% of respondents and 30% of respondents with an average score of 9.54. The effectiveness of communication is very dependent on the clarity of the message content and according to the context of the message.

Abstract

Influencing Factors Toward Rice Selling with Rice Slash System in Subak Babakan, Sambangan Village, Sukasada Subdistrict, Buleleng Regency The purpose of this study was to determine the influenced factors such as; age, education, farming experience, number of family dependents, and land tenure were affected farmers for making decision for choosen rice sold with slash system and their bargaining position within sold grain with the slash system. This research was done in Subak Babakan, Sambangan Village, Sukasada Sub-District, Buleleng Regency. The subjek was 36 farmers of Subak Babakan. The land ownership per household was on average 0.80 hectares. Meanwhile, in the negotiation of crop yields with the slashing system, the bargaining position of farmers were still very low due to a lack of knowledge and negotiation skills in determining the price of grain. The results showed that some the factors showed positive effect. Those effect were age, education background, farming experience, number of family dependents and land tenure has significantly effect. The statistical analysis result showed t-count > t-table. The data also showed the farmers bargaining position within sold grain in the slash system was still very low. This due to lack of knowledge and skills in negotiation and determination of the price of grain.

Abstract

Farmers Behavior in Cultivating Subak-Abian Asagan Cocoa Crops (in Selemadeg Timur District, Tabanan Regency) Agriculture is a sector that plays an important role in building the national economy. Knowing the attitude of farmers in cacao cultivation in Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, East Selemadeg District. Knowing the skills of farmers in cacao cultivation in Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, East Selemadeg District. This research was conducted in Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, East Selemadeg District, Tabanan Regency. The location of this study was chosen by purposive sampling or intentionally, carried out from April to May 2021, the sample in this study was determined by the random sampling method, where the total population was 60 with a sample of 38 cocoa farmers. Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, Selemadeg Timur, Tabanan Regency already has knowledge that is classified as high category in terms of cacao cultivation. Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, Selemadeg Timur, Tabanan Regency already has an attitude that is classified as very good in terms of cacao cultivation. Based on the results of the research and the conclusions above, the following suggestions can be given: The knowledge of Subak Abian Asagan, East Gadungan Village, Tabanan Regency continues to be improved, especially regarding paying attention to soil texture in the cocoa cultivation process and ideal cocoa spacing, as well as disease management. rotten fruit that can inhibit the growth of cocoa plants. The attitude of members of Subak Abian Asagan, Gadungan Village, Selemadeg Timur, Tabanan Regency needs to be improved again with attitudes about differences.

Abstract

Farmer Group Development Strategy Towards Independence (Case of Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency) Maroha Farmer Group is one of the farmer groups in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba Samosir Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the internal factors contained in determining the empowerment strategy of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency. (2) the external factors contained in determining the empowerment strategy of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency and (3) to be able to analyze the development strategy towards independence of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba- Samosir. The population in this study were members of the Maroha Farmer's Group in Sigapiton Village, amounting to 142 people, while the number of samples was 34 members of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village who became respondents. In formulating a strategy for developing the independence of the Maroha Farmer Group using a SWOT analysis. The results of the study found that in developing the independence of farmer groups, special attention was needed from all parties in carrying out each plan. Of course, it will help implement and control the programs and problems that exist in the farmer groups. Full encouragement is needed for the involvement of every stakeholder to increase farmer productivity developed in the Farmer Group. farmer groups need to carry out ideas in land management, the utilization of the funding budget that is calibrated and implemented as effectively as possible. It aims to be able to increase the income of farmers. The budgeted funding would be able to help farmers' productivity in improving land management, the availability of information and counseling about pests, distribution channel management also needs to be considered.

Abstract

The Correlation of Social Capital With The Participation Level of Farmer In The Development Of Cau Chocolates Agrotourism in Tua Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. The rapid development of tourism in Bali not only has a positive impact but also has a negative impact on the agricultural sector. Various negative impacts that arise give rise to efforts to develop alternative tourism. One form of effort to integrate the agricultural and tourism sectors in Bali Province is to develop agro-tourism areas. Cau Chocolates Agrotourism is one of the cocoa agrotourism in Tabanan. The development of agro-tourism cannot be separated from social capital and the participation of farmer groups. The aim of this study is to determine the extent of the correlation between social capital and farmer group participation in the development of Cau Chocolates Agrotourism, Tua Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and Spearman Rank Correlation Analysis. The results showed that the correlation between social capital and the participation of the Pala Werdhi Farmer Group in the development of Cau Chocolates Agrotourism as a whole was moderate but only significant at three stages. Social capital is significantly correlated with participation in the planning stage, implementation stage, and enjoying the results stage, but not significantly correlated at the evaluation stage. Suggestions that can be conveyed in this study are that further research is needed on the factors driving participation to increase the participation of members of the Pala Werdhi farmer group and there needs to be more assistance and training to the Pala Werdhi farmer group, especially in cocoa cultivation, in order to increase the quantity or quality of the cocoa.

Abstract

The Farmers Behavior of the Application of Appropriate Technology in Kintamani Arabica Coffee Cultivation (Case Study of Mengani Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali Province). The purpose of the study was to analyze farmers behavior of the application of appropriate technology in processing Kintamani Arabica coffee. The research method in this study used a saturated sampling technique or census. The types of data used are quantitative data and qualitative data, as well as primary and secondary data sources. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis method used descriptive analysis. The results showed that farmers' perceptions of the application of appropriate technology in processing Kintamani Arabica coffee still had problems with the wet-processed coffee processing method, and there were things that were conveyed that had not been accepted and applied by farmers during counseling and required confidence in the farmers that this -This new thing will come in handy. The recommended suggestion is that Arabica coffee farmers in Mengani Village are advised to review and re-evaluate the application and implementation of appropriate technology using wet processing methods in processing Kintamani Arabica coffee.
