Abstract

Myrmecodia sp., also known as ant plant, has therapeutic potential such as anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and other metabolic syndrome therapies, but there are still few publications on it. Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus are normal flora in the digestive and vaginal tracts, but under certain conditions, they can cause infections if their growth becomes excessive and is in an inappropriate location. Conversely, although Fusarium sp. is not part of the normal flora, these three microflora can be triggering factors for pelvic inflammatory disease infections in other organisms. The study aims to determine the sensitivity comparison of Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Fusarium sp. to Myrmecodia sp., Jack in vitro. The research results obtained a significance value of 0.0000.05, where the most effective concentrations were Candida albicans at 3.2%, Staphylococcus aureus at 1.6%, and Fusarium sp. at 0.8% as triggering factors for pelvic inflammatory disease infections. The data show that Myrmecodia sp. extract effectively suppresses pelvic inflammatory disease infections caused by Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Fusarium sp, with Fusarium sp. being declared to have a stronger sensitivity to Myrmecodia sp. extract.

Abstract

In October 2023, the Constitutional Court's decision on age limit requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates stirred controversy, perceived as favoring a specific vice-presidential candidate. Public reactions flooded social media platforms, particularly on Najwa Shihab's YouTube channel, where sentiment analysis was conducted on 505 comments under the video titled "Putusan MK: Publik memang Seharusnya Marah" (Constitutional Court Decision: The Public Should Indeed Be Angry). The comments were categorized into three sentiment classes: 425 negative, 42 neutral, and 38 positive. The study employed Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) models tested on both imbalanced and balanced data using the SMOTE oversampling technique. Two feature extraction methods, TF-IDF weighting and countvectorizer, were applied. Results showed that the combination of TF-IDF with balanced data yielded the most effective classification model, boasting a remarkable accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, each at 99%.

Abstract

This research is written based on the 3 in 1 Training for Making Fashion Embellishments with Hand Sewing Tools Batch X (Gold Thread Embroidery) which aims to improve skills and create jobs in the field of embroidery and fashion aimed at people who need training so that the skills they have can be officially recognized in the form of certificates. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation process of the Training 3 in 1 Making Fashion Embellishments with Hand Sewing Tools Batch X (Gold Thread Embroidery) in conducting training. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study research method. The data sources in this study are the Head of the Training Organizer as the research subject and the head of the training, instructors and participants as research informants. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity techniques are using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The results showed that the skills training process starts from 1) Planning; 2) Implementation; 3) Assistance; and 4) Evaluation.

Abstract

Rice is one of the agricultural commodities in South Sumatra whose productivity level still fluctuates. In 2000, rice production reached 1,863,643.00 kg, then increased to 3,272,451.00 kg, in 2010, but decreased again in 2020 to 2,696,877.46 kg. This instability is influenced by various factors such as land area, rainfall, pest attacks, and fertilizer use. This study aims to optimize rice production by applying machine learning using multiple linear regression algorithms, and the CRISP-DM method, with the stages being business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and implementation. Data of 1,000 records obtained from farmers were analyzed using Google Collaboratory, resulting in an intercept of -3836,2639, and coefficients for land area of 5,7336, rainfall of 1,2710, pests of 6,1153, urea of 1,6226, and phonska of 1,2581. To evaluate the accuracy of rice production predictions based on these independent variables, calculations were made on the RMSE value and analysis of the coefficient of determination. The results were that the RMSE value was recorded at 17065084,9641, and the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0,6487, indicating that around 64,87 % of the variability in rice production can be explained by independent variables such as land area, rainfall, pest attacks, use of urea fertilizer, and phonska, while the remaining 35,13 % was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Scientific jamu for lowering blood sugar are used in the form of decoction preparations, so it is less practical. The method of using scientific herbal medicine which is still traditional has several disadvantages, namely it is impractical and reduces the level of patient compliance which can result in a decrease in the effectiveness of scientific jamu. Based on this, the development of scientific herbal medicine into a more modern dosage form is very important to do. The selection of the right extraction method and solvent will produce an extract with the most optimal active constituent in producing pharmacological effects, so that it can increase the effectiveness of research in the context of drug discovery and development. In this study, the chemical content profiles of 3 (three) different types of extracts were compared, namely water extract, hydrotropic extract, and ethanol extract. The three types of extracts were then compared for their yield values, total flavonoid levels, andrographolide, cinnamaldehyde, and curcumin. The total flavonoid levels were determined by the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method, the andrographolide, cinnamaldehyde, and curcumin levels were determined by the densitometry thin layer chromatography (TLC) method. The extract with the best chemical content profile was subjected to forced degradation tests. The results showed that the ethanol extract produced the highest yield compared to the water extract and hydrotrope extract, which was 4.48%. The ethanol extract also provided the best chemical content profile, namely the total flavonoid content of 16.15 ± 0.96 mg QE / g, andrographolide content of 2.14 ± 0.12%, cinnamaldehyde content of 8.22 ± 0.31%, and curcumin of 6.46 ± 0.80%. In the forced degradation test, the total flavonoid content in the ethanol extract decreased due to several conditions, such as hydrolysis, oxidation, thermal, and photolytic.   Keywords:  Extraction, Forced degradation, Hydrotropic, Scientific jamu

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan strategi pemasaran dan produksi produk P3K, serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap penciptaan lapangan kerja dan pengembangan potensi ekonomi di Desa Margo Mulyo, UMKM Berkah Dempo, Kecamatan Pagar Alam Utara, dan Kota Pagar Alam. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melestarikan tradisi kuliner lokal. UMKM menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, termasuk kurangnya pengetahuan tentang produksi dan pemasaran yang efisien, kegagalan memanfaatkan alat pemasaran digital seperti media sosial, situs web, dan platform e-commerce, dan kemasan produk yang kurang menarik untuk P3K (keripik peyek, teri, kacang tanah, dan bayam), yang masih membutuhkan metode manual yang membutuhkan banyak tenaga kerja, seperti mendatangi warung-warung terdekat. Salah satu opsi yang potensial adalah mensosialisasikan pembuatan dan distribusi produk seperti Peyek Teri, Peyek Kacang Kuning, Peyek Kacang Tanah, dan Keripik Bayam (P3K). Saran modal yang diberikan adalah dengan menggunakan teknologi manajemen. 2) mendesain kemasan yang menarik untuk produk P3K; dan 3) membuat profil media sosial untuk pemasaran online di situs-situs seperti Facebook, Instagram, dan TikTok. Luaran dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Anggota UMKM Berkah Dempo menjadi lebih berpengetahuan; 2) Anggota UMKM menjadi lebih terampil; 3) Artikel ilmiah berstatus published di jurnal nasional yang diakui oleh Sinta 4; 4) Artikel berstatus published di media massa cetak maupun elektronik; dan 5) Video kegiatan yang dibagikan di media sosial. Tahapan pengabdian masyarakat dimulai dengan orientasi, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, penilaian, dan keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini yaitu memprediksi harga tomat di Kota Pagar Alam, dari permasalahan yang dialami oleh petani yaitu tidak stabilnya harga tomat di Kota Pagar Alam yang merugikan banyak petani. Serta prediksi harga tomat yang dilakukan oleh dinas pertanian dilakukan dengan cara melihat harga pasar yaitu jika permintaan banyak dan produksi sedikit maka harga  mahal, sebaliknya jika permintaan sedikit dan prosuksi banyak maka harga murah. Metode pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh informasi yaitu dengan cara Observasi, Wawancara, dan Studi Pustaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor dengan metode CRISP-DM dimana tahapannya meliputi Business Understanding, Data Understanding, Data Preparation,  Modelling, Evaluation, Devloyment. Tools yang digunakan dalam pengolahan data yaitu Rapid Miner, metode pengujian menggunakan metode Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah didapatlan hasil akurasi modelllling dengan rapid miner sebesar 96,30%, dan tingkat error pada pengujian root mean square error (RMSE) sebesar 0,05 yang dimana nilai tersebut dinilai bagus skala pengujian RMSE.

Abstract

This research develops an avocado fruit ripeness classification system using the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm based on color feature extraction. Data was collected from 150 Mentega variety avocado samples with three ripeness categories: unripe, semi-ripe, and ripe. The classification process involved image preprocessing, extraction of RGB and HSV color components, and implementation of the KNN algorithm. Results showed the highest accuracy of 95.56% at k=9 using Euclidean Distance metric, with Mean R and Mean H components having the strongest correlation to avocado ripeness levels. The system was successfully implemented with a user-friendly graphical interface, enabling automatic classification with a processing time of 1.2 seconds per image. Compared to other classification methods such as Random Forest and SVM, KNN showed the best performance in modeling avocado color features, offering an effective and efficient solution for the Pagar Alam City Agriculture Department in determining avocado fruit ripeness levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi dan pemasaran Kopi Petik Merah (KOPERAH) yang dikelola oleh Kelompok Wanita Tani di Kota Pagar Alam. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya efisiensi proses produksi, keterbatasan teknologi produksi dan kurangnya akses pasar yang luas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, tahap perancangan, tahap pendampingan dan implementasi, partisipasi mitra dalam pelaksanaan, tahapan evaluasi dan tahapan keberlanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan produksi kopi petik merah melalui penerapan teknologi dan pengemasan produk dengan smart packaging dapat meningkatkan nilai jual hingga 25%. Strategi pemasaran yang direkomendasikan mencakup branding berbasis keunikan rasa kopi Pagar Alam, pemanfaatan media digital, serta penguatan jejaring distribusi dengan mitra bisnis. Optimalisasi ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya saing produk, memperluas pangsa pasar, dan mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani.
