Abstract

This community service program was initiated in response to the stagnation of tourist visits to Pasar Slumpring and the limited digital competence of the local tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in utilizing social media as a promotional tool. The program aims to strengthen the community’s digital economy through the development of food  vlogging content as a medium for promoting traditional culinary tourism. The implementation employed a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, involving community members in planning, training, content production, and evaluation. The program included a social media workshop, food vlogging training, and digital promotion assistance. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in participants’ digital literacy, with the average score increasing from 44.25 (pre-test) to 80.75 (post-test), indicating an 82.4% enhancement. The food vlogging content produced successfully reached a wide audience, achieving 31,000 views on Instagram and 386,000 views on TikTok. The impact is further reflected in the rise in tourist visits, from 1,217 visitors in August to 1,826 in September (an increase of 50.04%), and continued to grow to 58.25% by November. This program has proven effective in enhancing the digital capacity of Pokdarwis and strengthening digital economy–based promotional strategies. Therefore, the initiative contributes to the development of traditional culinary tourism and supports the achievement of SDGs 8, 9, and 11 on decent work, industrial innovation, and sustainable communities.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial career intention among university students in developing economies remains relatively low, while prior research has predominantly emphasized individual determinants and insufficiently integrated the comprehensive role of the entrepreneurship education ecosystem. This study aims to examine the effect of the entrepreneurship education ecosystem on students’ entrepreneurial career intention through the mediating roles of self-efficacy and outcome expectations. A quantitative survey design was employed involving 314 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Semarang, selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that the entrepreneurship education ecosystem has a positive effect on both self-efficacy and outcome expectations. Furthermore, self-efficacy and outcome expectations significantly and positively influence entrepreneurial career intention. The entrepreneurship education ecosystem also demonstrates an indirect effect on entrepreneurial career intention through these two mediating variables. This study highlights the critical role of strengthening the entrepreneurship education ecosystem as a mechanism for shaping students’ confidence and perceived benefits, thereby fostering stronger entrepreneurial career orientation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the motivation, implementation, barriers, and impacts of the green entrepreneurship concept at Craftonesia SME in Semarang City. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the business owner, employees, consumers, and surrounding community members selected through purposive sampling. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and method triangulation, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the owner's motivation was formed by five interrelated factors: environmental concern (green values), passion for crafts, positive market response (identifying gap in the market), desire for independence (being their own boss), and the need for additional income (making a living). The implementation of green entrepreneurship encompasses two main aspects: vision and mission, and production processes, including the use of waste paper as raw material, manual production with minimal pollution, natural dyes, food-grade coating, product variation, and zero waste management. Barriers encountered include limited skilled human resources, longer production time, low consumer awareness, and limited access to information on green business certification. The impacts of implementation align with the Triple Bottom Line framework, covering environmental waste reduction, community empowerment, and expanded market access through green industry exhibitions. This study concludes that micro-scale enterprises can consistently implement green entrepreneurship as a holistic and sustainable business approach.
