Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain a local estimation model formed by considering spatial factors on the level of water pollution based on total coliforms in Jambi Province and can determine the most dominant factors affecting the total coliform water of PDAM Districts / Municipalities in Jambi Province using Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) analysis. The type of data used in this study is primary data in quantitative form. This primary data was obtained by taking PDAM water samples directly in 9 regencies/cities in Jambi Province. The results of GWR analysis show that the dominant factors affecting the total coliform of PDAM water in each district/city in Jambi Province vary with different estimated parameters. The best model formed is a model with the GWR method, the adaptive bisquare weighting function which is shown from the value of the model's goodness criteria, namely the smallest AIC value and the largest coefficient of determination

Abstract

Service quality comes from a comparison between customer expectations about the service they should receive with the service they actually get. An important service unit in state universities such as the University of Jambi is the library service. The library is a service unit that provides services in the field of literature. The needs of library users, especially students, for science and other educational media are difficult to separate. Therefore, the library is one of the academic support facilities needed by library users such as students and lecturers. Based on the results of observations, various efforts have been made by the FST UNJA’s Library to improve services, but these improvements are still not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence service quality to assist the FST UNJA’s Library in reviewing the factors that affect service quality. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method is a multivariate statistical method that can be used to look at the factors that influence the quality of the service. SEM is an appropriate analysis used in social research. In this study, there are two exogenous variables used, the first is employee competency which has manifest variables to measure it, such as knowledge, understanding, ability and attitude. The second is library facilities that have manifest variables to measure them, namely library space, library equipment and reading book collections. As well as the endogenous variables used in this study is the quality of service which has five manifest variables of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible. Abstract

Kesulitan yang selalu ditemui oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi saat akan memulai tahun ajaran baru atau semester baru adalah menata jadwal pelajaran. Pekerjaan ini sangat penting untuk kenyamanan dalam keberlangsungan kegiatan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pekerjaan penataan jadwal pelajaran butuh keseriusan tingkat tinggi dan langkah yang sistematis supaya tidak membutuhkan banyak waktu. Suatu algoritma yang membantu untuk menata jadwal pelajaran dengan cara sistematis adalah algoritma Welch-Powell. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penerapan algoritma Welch-Powell untuk menata jadwal pelajaran kepada wakil kepala sekolah agar dapat menata jadwal mudah dan baik. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh sebanyak 66 wakil kepala SMP se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi bidang kurikulum. Perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ms. Excel. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat merasakan kebermanfaatan dari pelatihan dan mampu menyusun jadwal pelajaran menggunakan algoritma Welch-Powell.

Abstract

Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (NPWP) is the 20 distinct code characteristics that are confidential only to the taxpayer when it comes to making tax transactions. The many tax payers who use NPWP others in their business activities make NPWP a very important aspect of maintaining confidentiality and the authenticity of their data. Therefore, solutions are needed that can be used to make the necessary information secure. Cryptography involves the secret science of code writing using certain mathematical models.The study discusses NPWP encryption using a combination algorithm One Time Pad (OTP) and an operation Exclusive-OR (XOR). The encryption process involves generating random numbers for an OTP algorithm, after which it is followed by an XOR operation. The key on XOR encryption is generated from an algorithm generating random numbers Blum Blum Shub. Encryption keys generated as much as the number of plaquic characters. The encryption keys used by each character would vary and not occur again. Therefore, ciphertext results from an encrypted process using an OTP algorithm and an XOR operation more complicated and more difficult to decipher by crypts.

Abstract

Masyarakat RT 09 Desa Mendalo Darat Kabupaten Muaro Jambi sebagian besar menggunakan PDAM sebagai sumber air utama dimana seringkali terjadi pemadaman air hingga beberapa hari. Hal ini membuat masyarakat harus mempunyai cadangan air dan alternatif lain selain PDAM salah satunya dengan membuat sumur bor untuk memanfaatkan air tanah. Selanjutnya lokasi mitra adalah daerah pengembangan hunian masyarakat yang berkembang pesat dan belum diketahui jenis batuan dasar di bawah permukaan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, maka tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jambi menerapkan IPTEK dengan melakukan pengukuran geolistrik untuk mengetahui lapisan bawah permukaan terkait potensi air tanah dan batuan dasar. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran geolistrik yang dilakukan pada area mitra diperoleh lapisan akuifer diperkirakan pada kedalaman 3,5meter hingga 13 meter. Berikutnya juga diperoleh bahwa sebagian besar lapisan bawah permukaan di lokasi mitra adalah batuan pasir sehingga hanya dapat dilakukan pembangunan skala ringan. Sosialisasi hasil pengukuran geolistrik ini mendapatkan respon yang sangat baik dari masyarakat di lokasi mitra.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the problems that must be eradicated. The government's policies for poverty alleviation is the provision of social assistance funds. But the government must consider the eligibility of the recipients of the social assistance. Since 2021-2023, the poverty rate in Jambi Province has been recorded at over 250 thousand people each year. Of the several districts/cities in Jambi Province, Jambi City contributes the largest number of poor people. Tengah Village is one of the villages in Pelayangan District, Jambi City. As an effort to support the provision of targeted social assistance, a clustering algorithm is used group objects based on certain characteristics. One of the analysis in the clustering is the K-Means algorithm. This community service activity is the socialization of the use of clustering algorithms to help group data on social assistance recipients. The activity was attended by staff and RT heads in Tengah Village. Based on the evaluation, as many as 72,7% of the participants who attended stated that they were very satisfied, in addition they stated that this activity was very useful in supporting the decision to select priority recipients of social fund assistance in the Tengah Village.

Abstract

Classrooms are one of the main needs for educational institutions to carry out learning activities and are an important element in creating an optimal learning environment for educators and students. Determining the number of classrooms should be done through the thorough calculation. The aim of this research is to perform how pigeonhole principle can be applied to verify the numbers of classroom needed. In working with pigeonhole principle, it should be clear what will be “pigeon”, and what will be “pigeonhole”. According to the results of this research, as we took the case study for Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Jambi which currently build a new building, if FST wants to allocate the rooms for each department, it will need 52 classrooms based on scheme 1 and 58 classrooms based on scheme 2. While if FST does not consider the allocation for each department, then it will need 45 rooms based on scheme 1 and 46 classrooms based on sheme 2.

Abstract

Menyusun jadwal pelajaran di sekolah merupakan hal penting untuk memulai pembelajaran setiap semester supaya kegiatan akademik berjalan lancar dan suasana akademik tetap nyaman. Berdasarkan observasi, wakil kepala sekolah (waka) SMA bidang kurikulum menyampaikan bahwa menyusun jadwal pelajaran termasuk pekerjaan rumit dan membutuhkan waktu lama, apalagi jika terdapat banyak rombongan belajar ataupun mata-pelajaran, dan terdapat pula kendala-kendala tertentu yang berkaitan dengan waktu guru ataupun karakter dari suatu mata pelajaran yang direkomendasikan dilakukan pada waktu-waktu khusus. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada waka SMA bidang kurikulum dalam bentuk pelatihan tentang algoritma pewarnaan graf dan penggunaan aplikasi FET untuk menyusun jadwal pelajaran dengan efektif dan cepat. Pelatihan ini dihadiri oleh 27 waka SMA bidang kurikulum di Kota Jambi. Hasil evaluasi pada peserta menunjukkan sebanyak 95,5% dari peserta yang hadir menyatakan kesetujuannya bahwa pelatihan penggunaan pewarnaan graf dan aplikasi FET untuk menyusun jadwal pelajaran sangat bermanfaat dalam menyusun jadwal pelajaran SMA.

Abstract

Penjadwalan shift penjagaan portal di Dinas Perhubungan Batang Hari masih dilakukan secara manual, yang menimbulkan sejumlah permasalahan seperti distribusi kerja yang tidak merata, bentrokan antar petugas, dan proses penyusunan jadwal yang cukup memakan waktu. Permasalahan ini berdampak pada efektivitas operasional dan menurunkan kepuasan kerja petugas lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang penjadwalan yang optimal dan adil bagi seluruh petugas dengan memanfaatkan algoritma genetika. Metode yang digunakan mencangkup tahapan pengumpulan data jadwal dan petugas, representasi kromosom, inisialisasi populasi, evaluasi fitness, seleksi, crossover, dan mutasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini memuat nilai fungsi objektif terbaik(terkecil) yaitu kromosom 35=[0,0,6] dengan f(x)=4 jadwal ini memenuhi kebutuhan shift malam, tapi kosong di pagi dan siang. Nilai fungsi objektif mendekati ideal (f(x)  8-10) yaitu kromosom 16=[1,0,6], kromosom 11= [4,0,2], kromosom 13=[2,0,6], dll. Jadwal ini lebih seimbang, tetapi masih memiliki kelebihan atau kekurangan disalah satu shift. Nilai fungsi objektif tertinggi (terburuk) misal kromosom 36= [4, 2, 8]  dan kromosom 7= [3,3,8] dengan f(x)=26 jadwal ini mengalami kelebihan alokasi petugas secara ekstream, tidak efisien. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma genetika merupakan metode yang efektif dalam mengatasi permasalahan penjadwalan jaga portal di Dinas Perhubungan Batang Hari. Namun dalam penelitian ini fungsi objektif menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar solusi belum sepenuhnya optimal.

Abstract

This study focuses on forecasting the daily closing price of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) stocks, recognizing the non-stationary and volatile nature of financial time series data. Traditional forecasting methods, such as the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model, are often insufficient for such data because they rely on the assumption of homoscedasticity, or constant variance in the residuals. An analysis of PGEO's daily stock prices from November 2023 to July 2024 revealed significant fluctuations, indicating the presence of heteroscedasticity, where the variance of the residuals is not constant. In tackling this problem, the study utilized the ARCH (Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) and GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) frameworks, purpose-built to identify and model the phenomenon of volatility clustering within financial datasets. By integrating the ARIMA model with GARCH, the study aimed to create a more robust forecasting tool. After testing various combinations, the MA(1)–GARCH(1,1) model was identified as the most suitable for predicting PGEO's stock prices. This model successfully captured the fluctuating volatility and produced a highly accurate forecast, as evidenced by a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of just 2.97%. A MAPE value below 10% is generally considered to represent a very high level of forecasting accuracy, confirming the effectiveness of the chosen model in providing reliable short-term predictions for stock market movements.
