Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mapping of attriutes of soft skills prepared by the Institute of Economics at the State University of Padang with what is needed by the Business and Industry World in Padang that accepts students of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang to do an internship. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted using a purposive sampling technique as for sources and several key informants through the results of questionnaires and in-depth interveiws or in-depth interviews directly to teh object of research. To test the validity of the data triangulation techniques are used. Based on information from this research informant, it can be explained that the soft skills atrributes needed by the business and industry world in Padang City consist: 1) initiative 2) work in teams 3) ethics/integrity 4) reliable 5) time management. These five attributes are very much needed by the business and industrial world focuses more on these city of Padang, but even though the business and industrial world focuses more on these five attributes, it does not mean that other soft skills attributes are not needed. There are several attributes of soft skills that have not ben prepared by the UNP Faculty of Economics institutions which are demands from the business and industrial world, including: 1) reliable 2) time management 3) commitment 4) self-management 5) enthusiasm 6) solving problems 7) can overcome stress 8) independent 9) motivation 10)tough 11) willingness to learn 12) cooperating 13) flexible 14) listening 15) analytical skills 16) critical thinking 17) can summarize, and 18) logically argue. The 18 attributes have not been prepared by the Faculty of Economics Institute, UNP.Keywords: bussiness and industrial world, soft skills

Abstract

Analysis of leadership and communication on employee performance has the objective to find out what leadership and communication can improve employee performance. The method used in writing this literature review uses the method of systematic literature review (SMS), which is sourced from ecogen sources and some proceedings, it cannot cover all existing journal and conference databases. In addition, we only get categories of articles in Indonesians. With the problem of the past 10 years. Based on 21 literature searches, I found that leadership that can improve employee performance in both goverment agencies and the business and industry world is democratic leadership, as well as communication that can improve employee performance both in goverment agencies and the business and industri world is effective communication both communication vertical, horizontal and diagonal. So democratic leadership and effective communication can improve employee performance both in goverment agencies as well as business and industry. Keywords: leadership, communication, performance

Abstract

The aims of  this research is to reveal how effective and efficience archival storage at Tiumang su-district office. The type of research is descriptive and qualitative research. The sampling technique used is the technique Snowball Sampling. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The research instrument used is the interview guide and a tape recorder. Data analysis technique used is the model of Miles and Huberman. To test the validity of the data used triangulation technique. These results indicate that the archive storage at Tiumang su-district office not yet effective and eficience . This is evident from the files stored  not use archival storage system , the amount of equipment and supplies were inadequate and the lack of skilled personnel in the field of archives . Keywords :effectiveness and efficience Storage of  Archive

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of learning motivation and the perception of critical thinking skills on economic learning outcomes in class X IPS SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. This type of research is a causal descriptive and associative research using SPSS version 26. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and research documentation. The existing population of 102 students in sampling using proportional random sampling with a total of 82 students. The instrument trials used validity and reliability tests. Data analysis with descriptive and inductive analysis using the normality test, heterokedasticity test, multicollinearity test, multiple regression test and hypothesis test using the F test and t test. From the results of the study show: (1) Learning Motivation and Perception of Critical Thinking Ability together have a positive and significant influence on student economic learning outcomes seen from the value of sig. 0,000> 0.05. (2) There is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation on student economic learning outcomes seen from Sig. 0,000> 0.05. (3) There is no significant effect on the perception of critical thinking skills on economic learning outcomes seen from Sig. 0.946> 0.05. Keywords: learning motivation, perception of critical thinking ability, learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between motivation and learning outcomes of students who take part in the learning process of students who take offline learning in the Office Management department at SMKN 1 Painan. This type of research was an experiment using a nonequievalent control group design. The population in this study were 72 students of SMKN 1 Painan. The analytical method used is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (Z-test) and One Wat Sample Test using SPSS version 23, validity test and reliability test. The results showed that: (1) there was no difference in the learning motivation of students who participated in learning boldly with students who took offline learning in the Office of Automation in Office Management at SMKN 1 Painan and (2) there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who participated in learning boldly. with students who take offline learning in the Office of Automation Department of Management at SMKN 1 Painan. The difference in student learning outcomes is based on learning supporting factors that come from outside the students, namely the teacher and the learning media used. Meanwhile, students' learning motivation, both in bold learning and offline learning, both show attitudes and learning methods that have high motivation to participate in the learning that is being carried out. Based on the results of this study it is based on that to improve student learning outcomes in learning learning it is expected that students can develop a happy attitude to work independently by not cheating on classmates, develop attitudes to defend opinions by arguing theoretically, develop a happy attitude to solve problems) by Doing lots of practice questions without being ordered by the teacher, then developing an attitude of having hopes and aspirations for the future by showing seriousness in following class learning, and developing an attitude of obeying the rules by not making arrangements for the rules set by the teacher and the schoolKeywords : motivation, learning outcomes, online learning, offline learning

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted to determine the effect of organizational motivation and group cohesiveness on organizational commitment of activists of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study was activist students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University in 2019 with a population of 885 and a sample of 90 people. Sampling was determined using the Slovin formula with Proportional random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires. The validity test uses SPSS version 23 seen in the Corrected Item-Total Correlation column and the reliability test seen in the Cronbach Alpha column. Analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. To test the hypothesis the F test and t test were used, using the SPSS version 23 program. The results of this study indicate that (1) organizational motivation and group cohesiveness have a positive and significant influence on the organizational commitment of activists at the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University. (2) Organizational motivation has a positive and significant influence on the organizational commitment of activists in the Faculty of Economics of Padang State University, (3) Group cohesiveness has a positive and significant effect on the organizational commitment of activists of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University. Keywords: organizational motivation, group cohesiveness, organizational commitment

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the preservation of archive prevention activities, the obstacles faced in the preservation of archive preventive activities as well as standard procedures for the implementation of archive preventive preservation activities conducted at the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Prov. West Sumatra. This research method is descriptive qualitative, with source data some key informant through result of interview and direct observation to research object. The secondary data supporting this research were obtained from documents available at the site of the research object. To test the validity of data used Triangulation Technique. Based on information from informants of this study can be explained that archive preventive preservation activities as a whole have been done well and systematically. This can be seen in the presence of the Sentral Khasanah Archive (SKA) room equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure. Implementation of fumigation done in per-riodik that is 2 times in a year which aims for early prevention activities to archive undamaged eaten by termites / damage to the archive because of the temperature and humidity factor of the room. Some of the obstacles that prevent optimum preservation of preservation in research object are caused by: 1) Human resources that have not background as archivist, 2) Low level of employee awareness, 3) Unavailability of special time for archive management. The results of this study also proves that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) used do not contain in detail the steps of preservation of archive preservation precautions. Key Words: Analysis, Preservation, and Preventive Archives

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work discipline and physical work environment on the performance of employees at the Padang Panjang City Tourism Office. This research is descriptive research. The population in this study were all employees of the Padang Panjang City Tourism Office. This study uses primary data. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 20. The results of this study indicate that 1) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Padang Panjang City Tourism Office employees with a significance value of 0.038 <0.052) The physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at the Padang Panjang City Tourism Office with a significance value of 0.031 <0.05 3) work discipline and physical work environment both have a positive and significant influence on the performance of the Padang Panjang City Tourism Office employees with a significance value of 0,000 <0.05.Keywords: work discipline, work environment and performance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of service quality to the satisfaction of recipients of population administration services at the Population and Civil Registry Office of Tanah Datar District. Measurement of service quality dimensions using five dimensions of service quality consisting of dimensions of physical evidence (tangibles), reliability (reliability), responsiveness (responsiveness), assurance (assurance), empathy (empathy). This type of research is a quantitative study with a correlational method using SPSS version 22. The population of this study is the population receiving population administration services in Dukcapil Tanah Datar District, a population of 82,286 people with a sample of 100 people taken using the Slovin formula using accidental sampling techniques. The research data is primary data, the data collection technique in this study is to use a questionnaire prepared using a Likert scale whose scores are 1-5. To ensure that the instruments used in the study are validity and reliability tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inductive analysis using normality test, linearity test, hypothesis testing using multiple correlation test, person correlation test, and the coefficient of determination test with α = 0.05. The results of this study show that the five service quality variables have a positive and significant relationship to the satisfaction of recipients of population administration services, namely the dimensions of physical evidence (tangibles), reliability (reliability), responsiveness (responsiveness), assurance (assurance), and empathy (empathy). Keyword:  kualitas pelayanan, bukti fisik (tangibility), keandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), empati (emphaty), dan kepuasan masyarakat penerima layanan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine (1) the influence of the level of education and the physical environment of office work on employee performance, (2) the influence of the level of education on employee performance, (3) the influence of the physical environment of office work on employee performance. This research is descriptive associative. The population in this study were employees in Dinas Prasarana Jalan Tata Ruang Dan Permukiman Provinsi Sumatera Barat with 387 employees. The total sample was determined using the Slovin formula and proportional random sampling. From this pattern, 197 employees were obtained as research samples. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. The validity test instrument uses Collected Item-Total Colleration and for reliability testing using alpha coefficient formula. The prerequisite test is done by normality test, heteroscedasticity test, and multicollinearity test. The technique used to analyze data is multiple regression analysis.
