Abstract

It is crucial to describe language development and socio-emotional behavior in children with speech delays. Many cases of speech delays in children are caused by the use of gadgets. Early detection of language and speech development problems, intervention programs carried out, and academic and socio-emotional development of children with speech and language disorders will greatly help overcome these problems. This study was conducted to describe language development and socio-emotional behavior in children with speech delays caused by the use of gadgets, early detection of language and speech development problems, intervention programs carried out, and academic and social-emotional development of children with speech and language disorders. The research was based on observations of a 9-year-old child, conducted from September 2018 to January 2019, with data collection since 2012 when language and speech disorders were early detected. The research applied a qualitative approach, with a case study method, while the data collection was through observation, interviews, and documentary studies. This study’s findings showed that the socio-emotional behavior caused by the influence of the gadget use had a major effect on children's development with speech delay problems; thus, an appropriate intervention program is needed for the family and environment. These results have implications for helping children with language and speech problems, not only being strictly allowed to use gadgets but also directed to obtain stimuli to reduce excessive socio-emotional levels in these children.

Therefore, teachers must be smart in managing learning that takes place in class. The literacy literacy module is a book which contains elements of reading and practice questions. With the practice questions associated in order to train students, after reading the module. In this study, researchers used a design design and development research approach(Research and Development atau RnD). Researchers focused on grade 2 students, using 27 students. Data collection using a questionnaire, analyzed with qualitative descriptive data and quantitative data. Based on the results of product feasibility reached an average of 85.25%. From the practicality test results by teachers and students in the average module, it is 94.2%. Based on the results of the effectiveness test, the average was 81.4% while the students' reading skills test averaged 87.96%. Abstract

The development of the world in the field of education which is always innovating, can be started with a perspective on universal education and changing the mindset of educators who can be better at carrying out the teaching and learning process. To improve student learning outcomes need to be done in an appropriate and effective way. This method has been put forward by Permendikbud No 22 of 2016 which states that the teaching and learning process in education is carried out in a fun, challenging, inspiring, interactive way, motivating students to participate actively and providing space for creativity. This study aims to see the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on student learning outcomes in Civics subjects in grade IV elementary schools. The type of research used is quantitative, by calculating the population and sample. With a population of all SDIT Nuurul A'Raaf students totaling 751 students and taking samples using the simpler random sampling technique with a total of 54 students. For data collection includes observation, distribution of questionnaires, pretest and posttest. The analytical method used is the validity test, reliability test, normality test, data homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the control class using the conventional learning model and the experimental class using the snowball throwing learning model. This shows that the snowball throwing learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in grade IV elementary school civics subjects.
