Abstract

Pelatihan kepemimpinan dan komunikasi yang efektif bagi ibu-ibu kelompok PKK merupakan upaya strategis dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan keberhasilan organisasi. Kepemimpinan yang baik memungkinkan pengelolaan sumber daya secara optimal sehingga tujuan kelompok dapat tercapai secara efektif dan efisien. Sebuah studi di Desa Sruni menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan kepemimpinan yang mencakup teori dan gaya kepemimpinan dapat membantu ibu-ibu PKK dalam mengelola organisasi, membentuk struktur kepengurusan, serta mengembangkan bakat kepemimpinan mereka (Ivana Septia Maharani, Baskoro Purbo Husodo, 2023). Gaya komunikasi pemimpin perempuan dalam organisasi PKK juga memainkan peranan penting dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan program-program kesejahteraan keluarga. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya komunikasi yang digunakan oleh ketua PKK di tingkat RW meliputi gaya dinamis, melepaskan, penataan, kesetaraan, dan penarikan, yang semuanya berfungsi untuk menyampaikan pesan secara informatif, regulatif, persuasif, dan integratif. Gaya komunikasi ini mengusung nilai persahabatan, toleransi, dan kekeluargaan yang sesuai dengan budaya organisasi PKK, sehingga mampu memperkuat iklim kolaborasi di antara anggota (Aminah, 2020; Raissa, 2022). Setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini maka dapat diambil Kesimpulan Kegiatan pengabdian dan pengetahuan serta implementasi dalam rangka usaha untuk memperoleh tambahan pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang informasi kiat menjadi pemimpin berjalan dengan baik. Kehadiran peserta sebanyak 30 orang dari total jumlah anggota menunjukkan antusiasme peserta yang begitu besar. Anggota aktif PKK Desa Grogol Kelurahan Karangtengah Demak sebanyak 30 orang. Seluruh anggota ikut serta dalam pengabdian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian selama pengabdian berlangsung dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengabdian yang diberikan mudah dikuasai oleh peserta, karena materinya bersifat praktis, hanya diperlukan ketekunan dan kesabaran.

Abstract

Kaum muda perlu memiliki kemampuan literasi keuangan yang baik karena hal ini menghindarkan masalah keuangan yang masih sangat sering terjadi. Banyak kaum muda karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang literasi keuangan terjebak pada hutang yang tidak bisa diperhitungkan dengan baik sehingga menggaggu masalah pengelolaan keuangan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat diperlukan untuk dilaksanakan untuk kaum muda, dalam pelaksanaannya metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, sosialisasi dan pendaftaran peserta, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan capaian luaran. Berdasar penjelasan dari beberapa rujukan mengenai literasi keuangan, tanggung jawab, berpikir kritis, mengelola keuangan dan memahami skema keuangan adalah hal sangat penting untuk ditingkatkan utamanya bagi kaum muda yang masih dalam keadaan perlu untuk dibimbing dan dibina. Melalui pelatihan financial life skills ini, kaum muda mendapatkan kemampuan untuk menyiapkan diri menghadapi dunia kerja dan dapat mengelola keuangan pribadi yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka dan menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru bagi mereka baik dalam bekerja atau menjadi wiraswasta.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' perceptions of the integration of Case-Based Learning (CBL) and information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching speaking skills in the English for Business course. Using a qualitative approach, the study was conducted at STIE Semarang involving 25 undergraduate students taking the course. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals to understand how students experience, interpret and evaluate the use of real business cases supported by digital technology in their speaking activities. The results showed that the majority of students perceived the ICT-based CBL approach as an interesting, contextualized method that helped improve their confidence and communicative skills. In addition, the use of ICT was considered to facilitate collaboration, provide authentic materials, and enable more flexible learning. However, challenges were also found, such as limited digital literacy and unequal participation in group work. The study concludes that the integration of CBL and ICT can create a dynamic and contextualized ESP learning environment that supports language development and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada pemberdayaan pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Krapyak, Semarang Barat, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memasarkan produk secara digital. Kendala utama meliputi kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM dalam menggunakan alat digital untuk pemasaran, khususnya WhatsApp. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan pelaku UMKM dalam memanfaatkan WhatsApp sebagai media pemasaran yang efektif, sederhana, dan terjangkau. Program ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui pelatihan interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di ruang diskusi salah satu rumah warga, melibatkan UMKM setempat secara aktif. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman pemasaran digital, keterampilan teknis dalam menggunakan fitur WhatsApp, serta kualitas interaksi pelaku UMKM dengan konsumen. Program ini tidak hanya membantu UMKM meningkatkan visibilitas produk dan potensi penjualan tetapi juga memberikan rasa percaya diri untuk mengadopsi strategi pemasaran digital. Dengan dampak positif yang dirasakan, program ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan digital yang dapat direplikasi untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-supported Case-Based Learning (CBL) on students' academic self-efficacy in English for Business learning of economics students at STIE Semarang. The research was motivated by the growing demand for student-centered approaches that integrate real-world problem-solving with intelligent technological support to enhance engagement, motivation, and confidence. The study aims to determine whether incorporating AI tools into CBL could effectively strengthen students' academic self-efficacy. A total of 112 students participated in a three-month intervention: 53 in a control group receiving traditional CBL and 59 in an experimental group using AI-powered tools, particularly ChatGPT, to support case discussions, generate feedback, and facilitate reflection. Using a quantitative design, data were collected through pre- and post-tests with an academic-specific self-efficacy scale. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group's self-efficacy, attributed to adaptive feedback, dynamic modelling, and emotionally responsive AI support aligned with Bandura's four sources of self-efficacy. This study concludes that pedagogically grounded AI integration can transform CBL by enhancing students’ confidence, motivation, and autonomy, thereby advancing technology-enhanced language learning research and practice.

Abstract

In the digital era, English language education is undergoing a profound transformation from traditional classrooms to smart learning environments driven by technology-based interaction. Understanding how technology-driven interaction (TDI) influences students’ learning success has become crucial in optimizing the effectiveness of modern English education. This study aimed to examine the direct and indirect effects of TDI on self-reported English learning outcomes (OUT) through the mediating roles of student engagement (ENG) and motivation (MOT). Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 300 English language learners in Pakistan and Indonesia through a structured online questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results revealed that TDI had a significant positive impact on both ENG and MOT, which in turn strongly influenced OUT. Moreover, both ENG and MOT significantly mediated the relationship between TDI and OUT, indicating that technology enhances learning outcomes primarily by increasing students’ engagement and motivation. These findings support theoretical frameworks such as Self-Determination Theory and the Community of Inquiry model, emphasizing the psychological mechanisms linking technology use to learning success. This study contributes to the growing body of research on technology-enhanced language learning by proposing a dual mediation model that explains how digital interaction translates into measurable academic achievement. Practically, the findings highlight the need to design technology-based English learning systems that foster engagement, sustain motivation, and enhance meaningful learning outcomes in smart educational environments.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of Case-Based Learning (CBL) integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) tools in enhancing critical thinking and communication skills among English for Specific Purposes (ESP) students in higher education. The study was motivated by the growing need for ESP students to develop advanced reasoning and practical communication skills to meet academic and professional demands. Using a quasi-experimental pre-test–post-test control-group design, 237 ESP students participated, with 119 assigned to the experimental group and 118 to the control group. Over six weeks, the experimental group engaged in AI-supported CBL, while the control group received conventional CBL without AI tools. Data were collected using a critical thinking test adapted from the Watson–Glaser framework and a communication skills rubric and analyzed using Welch’s t-tests. The results showed statistically significant improvements in critical thinking (t = 25.567, p .001) and communication skills (t = 24.981, p .001) in the experimental group compared to the control group. The findings confirm that AI-supported CBL has a substantial impact on students’ higher-order thinking and communicative performance. This study contributes to ESP pedagogy by providing empirical evidence that integrating AI tools into CBL serves as an effective instructional model.
