Abstract

Penggunaan organisme berupa serangga Black Soldier Fly (BSF) menjadi salah satu cara alternatif untuk mereduksi sampah organik dari sisa kegiatan dapur. Pemanfaatan media pakan ayam dan bungkil/ampas kelapa berpengaruh pada potensi dan hasil yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas rancangan unit dalam mengolah timbulan sampah organik. Hasil menunjukkan unit cukup efektif digunakan sebagai tempat pengembang biakan larva BSF karena pupa menetas dalam waktu 3 hari sesuai dengan penelitian lain. Kelembaban dan suhu yang dijaga menjadi salah satu faktor keberhasilan pupa menetas. Antraktan yang belum tersedia dalam unit menjadikan imago BSF dewasa tidak tertarik bertelur meskipun telah melewati masa kawin. Nilai rasio C/N, P2O5 dan K2O dari studi literatur yang telah dilakukan memberikan hasil bahwa residu/sisa dari proses biokonversi sampah organik oleh larva BSF dapat digunakan dalam bidang pertanian sesuai dengan SNI 19-7030-2004 tentang spesifikasi kompos organik.

Abstract

The use of chemical dyes in the batik-making process causes the batik industrial waste to contain pollutants that are difficult to decompose. In addition, the levels of COD and TSS of batik industrial waste are also high. The combination of electrocoagulation and advanced oxidation based on O3 / GAC in batch or continuously aims as an alternative technology and to determine the effect of electrode distance, detention time, ozone dose, and sampling time on the efficiency of COD, TSS removal, and the color of batik industrial waste. With a variation of the electrode distance of 2 cm, 4 cm, 6 cm; detention time 20 minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes, 80 minutes, 100 minutes; ozone dose 0.25 g O3 / L; 0.5 gr O3 / L; 0.75 gr O3 / L; and sampling times of 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, 150 minutes, the best results were obtained for COD, TSS, and color, respectively 110.4 mg / L; 40 mg / L; 30 PtCo in batch systems and 552 mg / L; 360 mg / L; 374 PtCo on a continuous system. Abstract

Bioethanol is a potential alternative fuel because it has renewable sources. Bioethanol has physical properties that are liquid, colorless, volatile, and flammable. From the less practical physical properties of bioethanol, a change is made to solid bioethanol so that it is safe in storage and has wider use. This study aims to determine the ability of bagasse as an alternative in solid bioethanol production, to determine the tendency of the relationship between fermentation time and ethanol content in the fermentation process, to determine the effect of the weight of the compactor with the bioethanol ratio on the rate of combustion. The results of this study indicate that bagasse can be used as an alternative fuel (bioethanol) because in the fermentation process on the 6th day the resulting ethanol content is 96.8% so that it reaches SNI 7390: 2008 and the effect of a compacting agent is 200 gr in 100 gr ethanol. also has an effect in slowing down the length of the burning time so that the resulting combustion rate is smaller, valued at 74.44 gr / minute. Abstract

ABSTRACT Leachate contains high levels of organic matter, TSS and ammonia. Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is a biological treatment that can reduce the concentration contained in leachate. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of MBBR to reduce the content of organic matter, TSS, and ammonia, by using variations in the detention time of aerobic-anoxic processes and sticky media. This research is a laboratory scale research. Leachate samples came from the Kotawaringin Timur TPA Inlet. The reactor is operated in batches. During the aerobic process the moving media is assisted by an aerator pump and submersible pump, while in the anoxic process it is only from a submersible pump. The MBBR processing used has a capacity of 5L with a media capacity of 2L. The variations of the media used were K1 and K3 caldness, while the aerobic detention time was 14.5 hours - anoxic 10 hours and aerobic 10 hours anoxic 7 hours. The results obtained show that MBBR can be used to treat leachate. The best decrease in COD, TSS, and ammonia concentrations occurred in K1 media with 14.5-anoxic 10-hour aerobic detention time with a reduction of 74.8%, 93.14%, and 83.72%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Organic Waste is object of this research. The research aims to study the process of making Mol from Angsana Leaves, Banana Roots/weevil and its applicate for composting process. The product of this research is from Organic waste, it’s used as bioactivator or local microorganism (Mol). This research was taken by many resources of article journal. Many product of Mol, consist of Angsana Leaves (Pterocarpus indicus) and Banana Roots are discussed. The result of composting by bioactivator each other are shown and observed. Fermentation from Angsana Leaves and Banana Roots is done for 15th day. The result research of composting process based on resource article journal revealed that : Angsana Leaves Mol meet the standard for pH, C-Organic, N-Total according SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

Kedung Cowek road is a primary arterial road serving a national scale, so it has a high traffic volume that causes traffic noise. So it is necessary to have a traffic noise model that can predict traffic noise to facilitate efforts to control traffic noise. This study aims to obtain a traffic noise model based on the traffic volume of each type of vehicle. The method used in this research is a direct survey on Kedung Cowek road to obtain data on noise levels and traffic volume. Data analysis to obtain traffic noise modeling using Multiple Linear Regression with the help of Minitab software version 19. The traffic noise model on Kedung Cowek road obtained is LEQ = 71.292 + 0.001811 MC + 0.00487 LV - 0.0078 HV with a value the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.5940. This model is still not very good, because many vehicles use non-standard exhausts which cause higher noise levels.

Abstract

Garbage management with the 5R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, and Replant) is one method that was considered complex in dealing with garbage problems in the planning area. The 5R method that involving community participation will be able to reduce the rate of garbage generation that occurs in the research area. Analysis of the data using the correlation analysis method to show a fairly good correlation between the participation of the community in managing garbage and reducing the garbage produced. Research data shows that with the 5R method, the community can reduce garbage as much as 40.83% of the garbage generated by the community, in other words, community participation in implementing the 5R concept can answer the problem of the large number of household garbage generation which is the main source of garbage generation in the Kebraon area, Surabaya city.

Abstract

Dredging sediment by the Public Works Department of Highways and drainage Surabaya generate sediments as much as 595 040 m3 / year. Sediment reuse is intended to increase the potential value of sediment as a nursery growing medium for landscaping or urban agriculture, this study aims to determine the effect of sediment as a planting medium by mixing the results of other waste processing, including green compost and coco peat using variations 1:1;1, 1:3:1, 1:5:1, the vegetative test of Capsicum frutescens nursery for 2 weeks, and response to the addition of NPK fertilizer. The results of the study after pretreatment drying, pulverizing, sifting showed the best mixture ratio was 1; 1; 1 with the final result parameters C 3.58%, N 0.31%, P 0.02%, K 1.63%, CEC 43 .92 emol/kg, C/N 21, pH 8.55, no toxicity with percentage inhibition of seed growth 4%, optimal nursery growth and lower nutrient loss. Research shows that sediment can be used as a mixed substrate for eco-friendly planting media in sustainable long time.

Abstract

The condition of raw water is getting worse due to increased pollution of water resources, namely surface water. The raw water treatment methods that can be applied are very diverse, one of which is physical and chemical treatment, namely the flocculation coagulation process followed by a sedimentation process using Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the type and concentration of coagulants on the coagulation process of the hydraulic system on the turbidity of water in river water and to determine the effect of settling time on the coagulation process of the hydraulic system on the turbidity of Bono Pabean, Sedati-Sidoarjo. The results obtained in this study using a parshall flume with a neck size of 2.54 cm obtained an optimal discharge of 12 L/minute with a sampling time of 120 minutes. The discharge has a velocity gradient (G) of 2427/sec, Froude number (NFr) 3.84 and Reynolds number (NRe) 8683. Meanwhile, the optimal coagulant dose in this treatment is 130 mg/L and the effectiveness obtained by hydraulic stirring with using parshall flume and baffle channel, managed to eliminate 2.25% of the Turbidity parameter.

Abstract

Final solid waste disposal place of Paguan which operates since 1993 still uses an open dumping system and requires additional land because it is no longer able to accommodate the increasing waste capacity over time. The purpose of this research is to plan a landfill with a Sanitary Landfill system according to existing regulations in Indonesia. This planning involves disposal zones planning, gas piping, leachate piping and other supporting facilities in the form of detailed engineering design, BOQ and RAB. The planning of this Sanitary Landfill TPA has an area about 4 hectares consisting of 2 disposal zones with an area of 0,78 Ha and 0,69 Ha. The landfill method uses the canyon method. According to the calculation, the life of this landfill is only 4,5 years starting from 2020 to 2024. The cost required to build the Bondowoso District Landfill is Rp. 24.929.391.437 (Twenty four billion nine hundred twenty-nine million three hundred ninety-one four hundred and thirty seven rupiah).
