Abstract

Global business and industry competition in the field of heat exchangers is a threat to all companies, especially in terms of product manufacturing cycle time in this study, it is known that the problem is the average length of welding process of the connection process of the Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) unit which takes 3.45 hours each time the process so in this study aims to determine the increase in cycle time in the connection welding process in the existing PHE unit assembly process, the method used to increase the cycle time of the connection welding process is to use the Plan, Do, Check, and Action (PDCA) method, The application of this method has 4 stages: a Plan to identify existing problems and their root causes, Do is a step to carry out all improvements directed at the root of the problem, Check is a stage for the process of checking the comparison of data before and after the repair process based on the results of improvement there and Acti on is an action after repairs and the results are known, namely the implementation of standardization of processes that aim to guarantee the results and certainty of the next process. The results of this study are improvements that all welding connection processes using manual methods have been replaced by making simple machines so that the process can be more stable , consistent and efficient, the results of improvements that have been made can increase the cycle time of the connection welding process which was originally 3.45 hours to 0.97 hours per process.

Abstract

The implementation of raw material selection is a multicriteria problem where each criterion used has a different importance and the information about it is not known with certainty. Selection of suppliers based on low price bids is no longer efficient in obtaining maximum performance, SCM must combine other criteria that are relevant to company objectives. PT. X faces obstacles related to unstable supplier performance, including delays, fluctuating prices and delivery that is not in accordance with the orders. The instability that occurs is not yet due to other factors that tend to be far from the company's plans and estimates.This research approach uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the decision-making support process of a complex and measurable problem uses fuzzy to accommodate the uncertainty that occurs when making decisions. Based on the results of calculations that have been carried out using the Fuzzy AHP combination method and the assessment using the rating scale, the calculation results of each criterion in this study are obtained with the quality criteria of 0.2829, delivery criteria 0.2096, price criteria 0.1457, service criteria 0 , 0984, the criteria for production capability 0.1466, and the criteria for supplier characteristics 0.1172. Based on these calculations, the quality criteria are the top priority in selecting suppliers, especially in the supply of cement raw materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of seven elements of marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence) on customer satisfaction of mattress. Data were collected from 100 customers residing in South Jakarta using self-reporting questionnaires. Factor analysis is used to validate the instrument and regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The results of research on the marketing mix strategy applied at PT. RIP Suwayuwo. Research results from consumer responses can it is known that the product aspect with an average of 3.34 is in the very good category. Aspect price with an average of 3.13 in the good category. Aspects of place with an average of 3.21 in good category. The promotion aspect with an average of 2.48 in the poor category. The people aspect with an average of 3.45 is in the very good category. Process aspects with an average of 3.32 in the very good category. Physical evidence aspects with averages 3.13 in good category.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a source of the regional and national economy. MSMEs have many roles in the social economy including being the main actor in economic activity, providing employment, playing a role in local economic development and community empowerment, a source of innovation, and creating new markets. Pasuruan Regency is one of the tempe centers in East Java. More than 200 families are engaged in Tempe production, including those in the Bangil sub-district, Purwodadi sub-district, Kejayan sub-district and Sukorejo sub-district. The main problem faced by Tempe Production SMEs is the machine or soybean dregs separator used, still using traditional tools (humans) which are less effective and efficient so that it takes a long time and there are working positions for workers who lack ergonomics, causing workload which is more. The purpose of this activity is how to make or design a design tool and work aid test for soybean dregs separator machines from soybean seeds to reduce the workload of making soybeans into tempeh and to be able to reduce the portion of the workload on tempe-making workers with anthropometric calculations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the elements of the Surabaya, East Java student environment that contribute to the selection of electronic devices. Product quality, brand reputation, and cost are considered in this study. The study was quantitative in nature, and factor analysis was used to analyze the collected data. Data is gathered through the use of an online survey administered via Google Forms. The population of the city of Surabaya, the focus of this research, is too large to accurately count. A total of 100 persons participated in the study, and all of the hypotheses put to the test were proven correct by the data.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has tried to make tobacco policy fair on many fronts. This is because even though the excise tax on tobacco provides a fairly high amount of revenue for the state, at the same time, the existence of tobacco has a negative health impact on the community. This research seeks to see how tobacco policy implementation affects state revenues and public health. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this research comes from various research results and previous studies regarding tobacco policy in Indonesia. The results of this study then found that tobacco control policies in Indonesia always experience development every year. This is because the government needs to devise a strategy that can be fair to all parties in the short and medium term. As for the long term, the government needs to find alternative solutions to tobacco excise revenue. This is because the tobacco policy's ultimate goal is to provide welfare for the people of Indonesia

Abstract

The term "artificial intelligence" (AI) refers to technology becoming increasingly prevalent in many facets of human life. Nevertheless, significant concerns regarding social justice and privacy in the application of AI are also being noticed. This article explores the significance of ethics in developing artificial intelligence systems that can protect individuals' privacy and promote social justice. A qualitative methodology was used for this study, which consists of a review of previous research. As a result of this research, we describe what is artificial intelligence with examples of its use, ethics with its functions, how to embed ethics into artificial intelligence technologies, including robot and machine ethics. The following is an examination of AI and ethics from the point of view of privacy and social justice. In the context of the use of AI, offer some suggestions about constructing a more moral and accountable AI system.

Abstract

Pemilihan supplier/seller merupakan masalah multikriteria dimana setiap kriteria yang digunakan memiliki kepentingan yang berbeda dan informasi yang tidak diketahui secara pasti. Pemilihan supplier berdasarkan penawaran harga rendah tidak lagi efisien. PT. AM menghadapi kendala terkait jumlah pemasukan paket yang tidak sesuai dengan data dan pengiriman dalam memenuhi pesanan dan juga tingka keterlambatan pengiriman yang kian tinggi persentasenya. Ketidakstabilan yang terjadi belum tentu karena faktor lain yang cenderung jauh dari rencana dan perkiraan perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan evaluasi secara terukur dalam pengambilan keputusan perusahaan terhadap pemilihan supplier/seller. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dalam proses pendukung pengambilan keputusan dari suatu permasalahan yang kompleks dan terukur. Kompleksitas dan keterukuran ini menggunakan fuzzy untuk mengakomodasi ketidakpastian yang terjadi saat pengambilan keputusan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan kombinasi metode Fuzzy AHP dan penilaian menggunakan rating scale, diketahui bahwa PT. AM diperoleh hasil perhitungan masing-masing kriteria pada penelitian ini dengan kriteria kualitas 0,2829, kriteria pengiriman 0,2096, kriteria harga 0,1457, kriteria pelayanan 0,0984, kriteria kemampuan packing 0,1466, dan kriteria karakteristik seller 0. 1172. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, maka kriteria kualitas menjadi prioritas utama dalam pemilihan seller.

Abstract

Pengendalian persediaan salah satu kegiatan didalam industry manufaktur maupun non manufaktur untuk dapat menjaga persediaan yang cukup agar kegiatan operasi dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan efisien. CV. JF adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan makanan beku. Tujuan penelitian ini perlu ditetapkan perencaaan dan pengendalian bahan baku yang optimal dengan menerapkan sistem persediaan yang tepat dalam perusahaan, setidaknya mampu memperhitungkan jumlah produksi dengan persediaan yang ada dan menghitung frekuensi pembelian, menghitung total biaya (total inventory cost), menghitung safety stock dan merencanakan kapan harus memesan kembali (reorder point) untuk memproduksi pada tahap selanjutnya. Meramalkan jumlah pemakaian bahan baku dengan menggunakan metode moving average 3 dan 5 bulan dan exponential semoothing α 0,1, 0,5 dan 0,9. Adapun metode peramalan yang digunakan adalah moving average 3 bulan karena menghasilkan MAD terkecil sebesar 257,96. Hasil pengendalian persediaan bahan baku dari perhitungan peramalan pemakaian bahan baku. Menghasilkan perhitungan EOQ pembelian yang ekonomis sebesar 1,065 kg. Frekuensi pembelian 10 kali dalam satu periodedan total biaya persediaan Rp. 524404,343. Safety stock yang dibutuhkan adalah sebesar 338,714Kg. dan Re Order Point 416,294 Kg.

Abstract

Perusahaan menuntut peningkatan produktivitas dengan membuat sistem produksi yang baik untuk bersaing dengan kompetitor dan merebut pasar. Salah satu cara dalam peningkatan produktivitas yaitu dengan meminimalisir pemborosan-pemborosan yang ada pada perusahaan. PT. SBM mulai beroperasi pada tahun 1974 sebagai salah satu industri tindak lanjut pengolahan bahan dasar ikan untuk diolah menjadi beberapa produk yang dihasilkan yaitu, udang beku dan makanan olahan ikan beku (dumpling, dimsum, bakso ikan). Permasalahan keseimbangan lintasan produksi paling banyak terjadi di perusahaan ini, adanya kombinasi penugasan kerja terhadap operator atau operator group yang menempati stasiun kerja tertentu serta keahlian dan keterampilan operator juga sebagai salah satu penyebab belum maksimalnya produktivitas lini produksi di PT. SBM. Masalah-masalah yang terjadi pada keseimbangan lintasan dalam suatu lintasan produksi biasanya tampak adanya penumpukan material, waktu tunggu yang tinggi dan operator yang menganggur karena beban kerja yang tidak teratur. Untuk memperbaiki kondisi tersebut dengan keseimbangan lintasan yaitu dengan menyeimbangkan stasiun kerja sesuai dengan produktifitas produksi yang diinginkan. Penyelesaian Line Balancing pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode RPW (Ranked Positional Weight). Perhitungan metode ini, yaitu dengan cara mengelompokkan pekerjaan kedalam sejumlah kelompok berdasarkan jumlah stasiun kerja minimal dan melakukan pengalokasian sesuai dengan waktu siklus yang dimiliki. Dengan pendekatan metode Line Balancing waktu tunggu proses produksi bakso ikan bisa berkurang. Hasil yang didapat balance delay pada kondisi perusahaan sebelumnya yaitu 48% dan setelah adanya perbaikan telah berkurang hingga menjadi 9%. Sedangkan dalam Smoothness Index hasil yang diketahui pada kondisi perusahaan sebelumnya 48 menit dan hasil yang didapat setelah perbaikan adalah 8 menit.
