The method of sampling was done by using incidental sampling and snowball sampling. Mean while, the methods of collecting data through observations, distributing questionnaires, interviews, library research and documentation.     Data analysis using analysis of R/C ratio to determine the feasibility of the business and margin analysis to determine the efficiency of marketing. The results showed that a). seaweed farming are viable with R/C ratio 1.151 for the wet sales and 1.77 for the dry sales. B) there are two seaweed marketing channels, first: farmers – middlemen – plant collectors – factories, second: farmers – plant collectors – factories. The analysis of marketing margins, showed that marketing channels of wet seaweed was inefficient, while marketing channels of dried seaweed was efficient.

The results of this research  shows land values at Labang is more than  before. While, land values at Arosbaya, as control areas, has not changed significantly before and after the construction. The comparison between subject areas and control areas before the construction, were not significantly different. While, after the construction, there are significant differences between two samples tested, indicating that the existing  Suramadu bridge has impact to the land value at Labang compared to land values at Arosbaya, as control areas.

Abstract

In fact, the magnitude of the economic potential worth of tobacco commodities is not directly proportionate to the conditions encountered by farmers in the field. Tobacco farmers in Bajang Village are faced with many problems that may indicate risks that threaten the sustainability of farming activities. The goals of this research are to: (1) identify the risks faced by farmers in tobacco farming, (2) evaluate the level of risk in tobacco farming, and (3) examine the composition of mitigation strategy for prioritized risks in tobacco farming in Bajang Village. Respondents in this study consisted of key informants and 43 farmers using the Fishbone Diagram and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) analysis methods. According to the analysis result, there are a total of 15 risks based on five risk sources: production, price and market, finance, human resource, and institutional. Weather and climate uncertainty, price uncertainty, quality and quantity uncertainty, pest and disease attacks, and farmers' lack of insight are the top five risks. Mitigation strategies are presented in an attempt to lessen the impact of risks on tobacco farming.

Abstract

Broilers are one of the animal protein producers that experience an increase in demand every year. Based on data from the Food Security and Livestock Service Office of Pamekasan Regency in 2019, the highest broiler production in Pamekasan Regency was located in Larangan Subdistrict, however, many farmers closed their businesses. This research was conducted at Pak Rudi's broiler farm located in Pamekasan Regency with the aim of knowing the sources of risk, prioritizing risks that require the most immediate prevention, and knowing alternative control strategies. The methods used in this research are fishbone and FMEA. The results of this study indicate that there are three main sources of risk on this broiler farm including production risk, financial risk, and marketing risk. Risk prioritization lies in the source of production risk with an indicator of the risk of contracting diseases for alternative strategies used in controlling risks in the form of administering vaccines regularly to maintain the immune system of chickens and conducting examinations on chickens carefully and regularly so that if there are chickens that contract diseases, treatment can be carried out quickly and appropriately to avoid disease transmission to other chickens.
