Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi guru belum menggunakan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik dalam muatan pembelajaran IPS,  sehingga siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media powerpoint interaktif materi interaksi manusia dengan lingkungannya muatan pembelajaran IPS kelas V SD Negeri Wonorejo 03 Kabupaten Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, data dokumen, dan angket. Hasil penelitian ahli menunjukan bahwa media powerpoint interaktif telah lolos uji kelayakan. Penilaian dari ahli materi mendapatkan persentase 100% termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak, dan penilaian dari ahli media mendapatkan persentase 100% termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak. Hasil tanggapan dari siswa dan guru kelas V terhadap media powerpoint interaktif memperoleh persentase sebesar 99,48% dan 100% dengan kategori sangat layak. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah  media powerpoint interaktif materi interaksi manusia dengan lingkungannya muatan pembelajaran IPS layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the digital comic "Si Jali Anak Kota" as a learning medium to increase the independence of children aged 5-6 years at Cahaya Kindergarten in Sumberjosari Village, Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative experiment with one group pretest posttest design. The study population consisted of 32 children aged 5-6 years at Cahaya Kindergarten in Sumberjosari Village, Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency. This study uses a total sampling technique in which the entire population is used as a sample. Research data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses inferential statistics by testing the hypothesis using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of the research from the calculation of the t test obtained the value of |tcount| > ttable, namely 5.409 > 2.03452, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, then Ho is declared rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of these calculations, the child's independence has increased by 16.84% from before the treatment using digital comic media "Si Jali Anak Kota". Calculation of the N-gain test obtained a result of 0.23 which strengthens that the effectiveness of digital comic media "Si Jali Anak Kota" can increase children's independence. These results indicate a change in the form of increasing the independence of children aged 5-6 years after being treated using digital comic media "Si Jali Anak Kota".

Abstract

Learning in early childhood receives attention so that children's abilities do not progress, one of which is language learning. This research analyzes teachers' strategies for improving vocabulary mastery through letter cards. This qualitative research uses research subjects, namely 3 teachers and children aged 4-5 years, with 25 children. The data collection methods used in this research were observation techniques and interviews with teachers as primary data sources. The analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique referring to the opinions of Miles and Huberman, with three activities: qualitative data analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research show that the use of letter card media is known to have several contributions to the learning process, one of which is that the use of letter cards can be a medium for letter recognition. Letter cards are also effective for helping children recognize, remember, and understand alphabet letters. Implementing letter card media in early childhood education significantly impacts language development. It can improve vocabulary mastery and practice reading and writing skills by observing the letter cards and children trying to imitate them. The research concludes that letter card media can improve vocabulary mastery abilities in young children.

Abstract

Early childhood reading skills often present challenges, particularly during the transition from kindergarten to elementary school. At the ages of 7–8 years, children require appropriate stimulation to develop their reading skills optimally. This study aims to analyze the impact of illustrated storybook media on improving the reading abilities of children aged 7–8 years. The aspects of reading skills examined in this study include accuracy in intonation, tone, articulation, and emphasis; clarity of voice; understanding of punctuation; and fluency and reading speed. The subjects of this study were first-grade elementary school students at the initial stage of learning to read. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis and hypothesis testing with a Paired Sample t-test, preceded by normality testing as a prerequisite. The findings revealed that illustrated storybook media had a significant impact on improving children's reading abilities, with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Children demonstrated enhanced accuracy, clarity, and fluency in reading, including better intonation, voice clarity, and understanding of punctuation. The study concludes that illustrated storybook media is effective in enhancing the reading skills of children aged 7–8 years, particularly in terms of accuracy, clarity, and reading fluency.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Cluster Dewi Kunthi Gunungpati Semarang still need to become skilled at creating learning videos. Due to misunderstanding, the teacher's educational background is not in educational technology, and the experience of creating learning videos is minimal. This service aims to provide enrichment, skills, evaluation, and creation of learning media. The material provided is Powtoon-based learning video creation skills. The learning media used are in the form of Powtoon-based learning videos and learning media modules. The use of learning media will make it easier for elementary school children to absorb the material. The method used is direct and guided learning. Community service activities were conducted for eight months, with eight training meetings and guidance. Direct learning is done by conditioning the teacher as a participant, following and conducting copyright training, and evaluating learning videos. Skills and evaluation materials are carried out in 6 meetings. Supervised is intended to carry out direct supervision, coaching, and training. The service results show that teachers master making Powtoon-based videos, as evidenced by the collection of learning videos. The service succeeded in increasing teacher skills in creating Powtoon-based learning videos.

Abstract

Aesthetic sensitivity is an important aspect of a child's development, encompassing the ability to appreciate beauty, artistic expression, and to understand and feel aesthetics in art. This study aims to describe how extracurricular dance activities can enhance the aesthetic sensitivity of early childhood students at TK Sekar Nagari UNNES. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study include all children in TK A and B groups, teachers, and the principal. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the implementation of extracurricular dance activities is carried out through the stages of planning, execution, and evaluation, where children actively explore movement, rhythm comprehension, and social interaction during the dance learning process. There is an increase in aesthetic sensitivity reflected in three main aspects: movement, rhythm, and expression. Children are able to coordinate movements harmoniously, respond to rhythm more effectively, and express emotions and imagination expressively through dance. Extracurricular dance activities play an important role in stimulating artistic appreciation in early childhood. The study recommends the development of more varied and interactive dance teaching methods to enhance learning effectiveness and optimally support children's aesthetic development

Abstract

Collaboration between parents and teachers is key to optimizing the success of children's education, considering that education takes place both at home and at school. This study aims to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of collaboration between teachers and parents at Ar-Rohmah KB Playgroup. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that there are three main factors in realizing collaboration between teachers and parents, namely effective communication, parental involvement at home, and field trip activities. In addition, there are supporting factors for collaboration, including the communication system and trust between parents and teachers. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors include the limited time of parents who are busy with work and sudden changes in the collaboration schedule. This research provides novelty by highlighting the importance of structural approaches in collaboration between teachers and parents. The practical impact of this research is to provide recommendations for educational institutions to strengthen such collaboration, in order to support optimal early childhood development.

Abstract

Based on the initial identification of research on the Javanese lessons, learning media is less attractive and innovative. To maximize students' activities and learning outcomes, the researchers developed the Javanese e-comic media. The researchers employed the simplified Borg and Gall model for research and development. Following the conditions of the research, the research steps include 1) identifying potential problems; 2) collecting data; 3) designing media; 4) validating the media; 5) revising; and (6) mass-producing. Data collection with non-test techniques, interviews, teacher and student needs, and documentation methods. The results showed that E-comics Javanese folklore material was declared very feasible, which is the result of this study. The material expert assessment obtained 91.42 percent in the very feasible category. Furthermore, the media experts’ assessment obtained 87 percent in the feasible category. Positive students and teachers’ responses to the media were 89 percent and 98.20 percent in the feasible category. Finally, E-comics with folklore material are feasible to be used in Javanese lessons. Through the Javanese folklore E-Comic developed, it has implications for students to be more receptive to learning and attract students' attention to learning.

Abstract

Urgensi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana alumni pondok pesantren mempersiapkan diri menjadi pendidik anak usia dini (PAUD) yang profesional, mengingat peran strategis guru PAUD dalam membentuk karakter anak sejak usia dini dan masih minimnya kajian yang mengangkat kesiapan alumni pesantren dalam konteks tersebut. Meskipun dibekali nilai-nilai keislaman dan kedisiplinan, alumni pondok pesantren kerap menghadapi tantangan dalam adaptasi terhadap dunia pendidikan formal PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan strategi pengembangan diri alumni pondok pesantren dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sebagai calon pendidik PAUD. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas lima alumni pondok pesantren yang sedang menjalani masa pengabdian di lembaga PAUD. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara purposive dengan kriteria memiliki pengalaman mengajar minimal satu semester. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi langsung, serta dokumentasi pendukung. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik yang meliputi tahap familiarisasi data, pengkodean awal, pencarian tema, peninjauan tema, penamaan tema, dan penyusunan laporan naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan diri dilakukan melalui observasi praktik lapangan, penyesuaian terhadap kurikulum PAUD, peningkatan kreativitas pembelajaran, dan kemampuan dalam mengelola emosi. Nilai-nilai pesantren seperti kedisiplinan, kesabaran, kerja sama, dan manajemen waktu turut mendukung kesiapan mereka dalam mengajar. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi meliputi tekanan peran ganda, minimnya pelatihan eksternal, dan proses adaptasi terhadap karakteristik anak usia dini. Meskipun demikian, alumni menunjukkan kesiapan profesional melalui proses refleksi, praktik langsung, dan strategi adaptif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi antara nilai-nilai pesantren dan strategi pengembangan diri mampu membentuk kesiapan profesional alumni dalam dunia pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

Autism is a severe developmental disorder that occurs throughout life, but this behavior can be reduced with proper handling and care from parents, family, and society. The right efforts made to autistic children will affect their growth and development to be better and more useful. The family, especially the mother, is a very important figure who influences the process of child growth and development. Mothers who educate and care for children with warmth will certainly have a more positive impact on children compared to mothers who do it as a duty or just an obligation without involving warmth. The purpose of this study was to determine the coping strategies of mothers who have autistic children and to determine the factors that influence coping strategies. This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects of the study or someone who provides information are mothers who have early childhood children and their neighbors by conducting interviews. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the coping strategies used are problem focus coping in the form of exercised (cautiousness), emotional focus coping which is done by changing thoughts from being disappointed and sad and finally becoming an acceptance which is done by finding the meaning of the failure experienced by themselves and trying to be grateful (seeking meaning) and another form is escape avoidance or avoiding oneself, which is done in the early days when their child was diagnosed with autism which then tries to grow awareness of oneself of responsibility for the child (accepting responsibility). Factors that influence coping strategies are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors that influence are age and self-awareness of responsibility as a mother. The external factors are family support or social support, education level and economic conditions
