Abstract

The metric dimension is a fundamental concept in graph theory that utilizes the vector representation of distances between vertices and a subset of vertices in a graph. This concept has broad applications in various fields, such as navigation, network localization, and network design. Let G(V,E) be a connected graph with order n . A subset L={v1,v2,v3} subset of V(G) is called a resolving set, and the representation of a vertex v with respect to L is a vector (d(v,v1), d(v,v2)..d(v,vk)) , where d(v,vi) is the distance between v and vi . The metric dimension of G, denoted as dim(G), is the smallest cardinality of L such that every vertex in G has a unique representation. The windmill graph K1+nK3 is a graph obtained by connecting a vertex x in the complete graph K1 to every vertex in n copies of the complete graph K3. This paper employs a structural analysis method focused on the single vertex in K1 and determines the vector representations of all vertices in the windmill graph by analyzing inter-vertex distances. The final result shows that the metric dimension, dim (K1+nK3)= 2n, where n is an integer grether than 2 .

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas XI SMK Yarsi Mataram pada materi lingkaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimental dengan posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Yarsi Mataram yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan sampel dua kelas, yaitu kelas F1 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung dengan metode ceramah dan kelas F2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan tes uraian. Melalui analisis deskriptif dan uji-t dua sampel independen, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru dan siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 94%, aktivitas guru dan siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 96%, rata-rata skor posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 50,68, dan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,79. Hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,697 dan t-tabel sebesar 1,996, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kesimpulan penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis materi lingkaran siswa kelas XI SMK Yarsi Mataram.

Abstract

The availability and utilization of Mathematics Learning Resource Centers (LRC) play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of teaching in elementary schools. LRC integrated with IT can assist teachers in designing engaging, interactive, and relevant lessons, while also fostering students’ interest in learning. However, field observations reveal that teachers' access to digital learning resources remains limited, and the integration of technology in mathematics instruction is still suboptimal. To address this issue, the program provided training for elementary school teachers on effectively utilizing digital-based learning resource centers. The main objective in this community service is to improve teachers' skills in using LRC as a supportive medium for mathematics instruction in the classroom. The training was conducted through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on simulations, involving 18 elementary school teachers from Puyung. Evaluation results, obtained through questionnaires, indicate that participants (1) showed high enthusiasm throughout the training, (2) were able to operate the digital LRC independently, and (3) responded positively to the usefulness of LRC in supporting the teaching and learning process. It is expected that this training will broaden teachers’ knowledge and skills in utilizing technology,and contribute to the improvement of mathematics teaching quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of the treffinger learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills on the building materials of flat-sided spaces for grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Narmada for the 2023/2024 school year. This research is included in quantitative research with a type of quasi experimental design research. The population in this study was all grade VIII students at SMPN 4 Narmada for the 2023/2024 school year with samples of classes VIII A and VIII B taken using a simple random sampling technique. The instruments in this study are observation sheets and tests of students' mathematical creative thinking abilities as well as data analysis techniques using valid tests, namely normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results of this study show that there is a difference in the average score of mathematical creative thinking ability of students who use the treffinger learning model and students who use the conventional learning model. So this shows that there is an influence of the treffinger learning model on students' mathe matical creative thinking skills in the building materials of flat-sided spaces for grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Narmada for the 2023/2024 school year.

Abstract

Capaian literasi matematika yang rendah di Indonesia, terutama pada konten shape and space, mendapat perhatian khusus dalam bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial dan kinestetik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal adaptasi PISA pada konten shape and space. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A SMPN 7 Mataram dengan 11 siswa visual, 11 siswa auditorial, dan 11 siswa kinestetik. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket gaya belajar, tes tertulis kemampuan literasi matematika, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Indikator kemampuan literasi matematika yaitu: 1) merumuskan situasi secara matematis (formulate), 2) menerapkan konsep, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran matematika (employ), 3) menafsirkan, menerapkan dan mengevaluasi hasil matematika (interpret). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memiliki kemampuan literasi matematika yang baik, mampu melalui semua tahap literasi matematika dengan teliti namun sedikit kesulitan dalam menafsirkan kembali hasil yang diperoleh ke permasalahan yang ada. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial mampu merumuskan masalah secara matematis dan menerapkan konsep, namun masih kurang lengkap menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan pada soal. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik hanya mampu merumuskan masalah secara matematis namun kesulitan dalam menerapkan konsep dan menafsirkan hasil yang diperoleh ke permasalahan yang ada.
