Abstract

Today's advanced technology and can provide convenience for its users, one of which is the internet. The longer attachment to the internet will form a habit called internet addiction. In addition, internet addiction also has a negatif impact on both physical and mental health. Unwise use of the internet cannot be separated from the self-control of the individual who uses it. Self control is an individual's ability to control unexpected behavior. This study used a descriptive analytic design with a cross sectional approach. The questionnaire used was the Indonesian version of the Internet addiction Test (IAT) in testing internet addiction behavior and the self-control questionnaire in testing self-control. It was found that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) between Internet addiction and Self control is 0.002 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between the Self control and Internet addiction variables. Based on the results of research and discussion on the relationship between self-control and internet addiction in students, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-control and internet addiction in college students.

Abstract

Aims: Preoperative anxiety in school-age children is an important problem for children who will carry out major surgery. When not resolved the problem results in a negative postoperative response such as higher pain, impaired sleep patterns, no appetite and changes in maladaptive behavior over the next two weeks. Pharmacological therapy is not given to psychosocial problems related to anxiety in school-aged children. So, it is necessary to trace the results of research related to non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological therapies used is Hypnotherapy. This study aims to analyze the effect of hypnotherapy in reducing anxiety in the preoperative phase by using the Modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale (mYPAS) instrument. Hypnotherapy intervention is carried out structurally in the preoperative phase. Methods: This type of research is a Quasy Experiment with a time series design research design through pretest and posttest one group design. The technique used in this study was purposive sampling with 24 samples. Analysis of the data used consisted of univariate and bivariate. Univariates in this study describe the median while bivariate use Wilcoxon. Results: The results of the statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the anxiety test before and after the hypnotherapy intervention was given (p-value 0,0001). Conclusion: Influence of hypnotherapy to reduce the anxiety of school-age children in the preoperative phase in the Guntur room of level II Dustira Cimahi Hospital. Suggestions for nurses are expected to develop science and skills in complementary nursing and can be used as a companion intervention in overcoming preoperative anxiety in children.

Abstract

The world of children is a world of play. The purpose of playing in a hospital is in principle to be able to continue the optimal growth and development phase, develop children's creativity, and children can adapt more effectively to stress. One of the types of games for children is playing construction. Playing construction is aimed at compiling a game object so that it becomes a correct construction like a game of assembling blocks. Treatment of children in hospitals forces children to be separated from the environment they love, namely family. The impact of separation from the family, children experience psychological disorders such as anxiety, fear, lack of love, these disorders can hinder the child's healing process and interfere with the child's growth and development. This study aims to determine the effect of construction play on the anxiety level of school-age children who are undergoing hospitalization. This study uses a type of pre-experimental research, which is a part of experimental research conducted without a control variable. The design used in this study was a pre test - post test one group design. The effect of construction play on the anxiety of school-age children undergoing hospitalization can be measured using the McMurtry Faces Anxiety Scale For Children which was tested before and after giving construction play. In accordance with the results of the Wilcoxon test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) the p value is 0.0001, thus the p value <α (0.0001 <0.05), then Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. There is an effect of giving construction play on the anxiety of school-age children undergoing hospitalization in Room C6 of Cibabat Hospital, Cimahi
