Abstract

This research will study the use of “temo ii” of 31 students seventh semester in UPI. This study uses analysis descriptive method by collecting data from students to take 20 questions. It can be concluded that the understanding of the use of “temo ii” of students show good scores about 53,39 % at average. There are three students who get 14 points (70%) which is the highest score. On the otherhand there is one student who gets 5 points (25%) which is the lowest score. Although the result shows they are above average, but some students still missuse the word “temo ii”. Moreover, they think the word “boleh” in Indonesia can be replaced by “temo ii”. However, the word “boleh” can not usualy be defined by “temo ii”.

Abstract

Industrial revolution 4.0 in the development of instructional media for Japanese language learning is one of the demands of the era that cannot be avoided anymore. Devices that cannot be released from the students' hands make it seems like it's the only source to search for information or answer in the learning process. Learning Japanese is not only through textbooks, but students are able to develop the teaching materials in the form of narratives of tourism and cultural destinations in the city of Bandung using Japanese. Those narratives about the information of destinations are packaged into a website that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, as an interactive instructional media that can increase motivation and interest about the city of Bandung in Japanese. The development of this website is not only for Japanese learners, but also useful as a source of information for Japanese people who will visit the city of Bandung. The latest information about the city of Bandung using Japanese consists of historical sites, tourist attractions, museums, and culinary. Japanese learners can access them at any time and can be used as a medium for discussion, and learners can explain it again about the city of Bandung to their friends. This innovation of learning media is a solution in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 to improve Japanese language skills both orally and in writing.

Abstract

The integration between the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the education sector requires teachers and students to utilize nowadays technologies, one of them using Padlet. Padlet is a web-based application that enables users to write or pin-up files such as pictures on its’ virtual walls. This study aims the utilization of Padlet to enhance students' Japanese composition skills in a Japanese basic writing class (Shokyu Sakubun). Involving a class of 15 (fifteen) students enrolled in a basic writing course at a state university in Bandung, West Java, this study attained the data through pre-test, post-test, and students' essay observations during four times treatments and questionnaires. The findings showed that there is a significant increase in the average grades after using Padlet for collaborative learning in basic Japanese writing courses, which is seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test. It can be interpreted that Padlet was helpful for Japanese learners to improve their competence in Japanese writing skills. The findings also showed that the respondents gave positive responses to Padlet utilization. Further, Padlet can be used not only as a medium in teaching but also as a medium to store and distribute teaching materials from teachers to students or vice versa, hence it is useful as an application to enhance Japanese language learning in general.

Abstract

This study aims to find values in Japanese mukashibanashi in online media through the Youtube channel, purposing it can be implemented simultaneously in the learning process. Mukashibanashi is a Japanese folk tale. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The source of the data comes from the web https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaCiBKglFZkSYXmlWZBDLgw of Japanese folklore. The data collection technique used non-interactive techniques by watching and listening to the mukashibanashi video, summarizing the story, and then taking active notes using the content analysis method. Data validity to test the validity of this study using data triangulation techniques and method triangulation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model. Data analysis was performed using Miles and Huberman models and Lickona's theory (essential and main characters that must be transferred to the students). There are seven characteristics education found, namely: heart praise, compassion, compassion, cooperation, courage, hard work, and honesty. These values can be used in educating and building student character. Abstract

Jepang tengah menghadapi problematik serius, yaitu, menurunnya populasi produktif atau ageing population, secara masif di masyarakat, yang mengakibatkan aktivitas ekonomi, bisnis, industri, dan teknologi Jepang menjadi tidak optimal. Dari permasalahan tersebut perlu dipandang sebagai potensi dalam mengoptimalkan bonus demografi Indonesia untuk bekerja di Jepang. Namun, hal tersebut tidak akan optimal apabila terdapat persoalan kompleks yang menimpa tenaga migran Indonesia, seperti culture shock, akibat standarisasi atau tuntutan kinerja yang tinggi di Jepang, sehingga mencerminkan kemampuan adaptasi yang kurang, termasuk persoalan mengenai diskriminasi pemenuhan hak dan pelayanan kerja terhadap tenaga migran Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pembinaan karakter dan budaya Jepang kepada calon tenaga migran Indonesia yang berada di Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja Indonesia terhadap problematik culture shock dan diskriminasi berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi ketika tenaga migran Indonesia yang sedang bekerja di Jepang, supaya terbentuk kapasitas sumber daya manusia Indonesia, yang unggul, berkarakter dan kompetitif. Hasil penelitian ini, berupa pembinaan karakter dan budaya Jepang pada tenaga migran Indonesia untuk penguatan performance character, dilakukan berbasis pendekatan kuantitatif dan pengumpulan datanya, berupa angket. Hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) culture shock dan penguasaan keterampilan yang beraga menjadi masalah utama tenaga migran Indonesia di Jepang, 2) penguatan performance character berbasis karakter dan budaya Jepang, adalah solusi efektif dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut, dan 3) tenaga migran Indonesia memiliki atensi kuat dalam menerapkan performance characterdalam pekerjaan dan keseharian, karena bersifat holistik dan mampu menjadi modal sosial dalam berkarier, berkompetisi dan hidup di Jepang.

Abstract

Language education is a crucial element in foreign language learning, where motivation plays a key role in student success. Strong motivation is a key factor in achieving success in learning a foreign language, and the use of Japanese music is considered a potential way to increase motivation for learning Japanese. This study proposes to explore the effect of using Japanese music as a motivational tool in learning Japanese. By clarifying the impact of Japanese music on students' motivation levels, this study hopes to provide better insight into the relationship between music use and Japanese language learning. The research also involved analyzing the participant's responses to the use of Japanese music in language learning. This study has potential benefits in improving the understanding of the factors that influence the motivation of Japanese language learners. The results of this study are expected to provide new insights for more effective teaching approaches, provide practical guidelines for teachers, and enrich the Japanese language learning experience through a holistic approach involving music. As such, this research is expected to bring positive benefits to Japanese language learners and support the development of foreign language education as a whole.

Abstract

Penggunaan suatu bahasa dipengaruhi oleh kondisi masyarakatnya. Kondisi ini dapat menimbulkan adanya variasi bahasa yang berhubungan dengan usia, pendidikan, seks, pekerjaan, dan lain-lain. Bahasa Jepang memiliki variasi ragam bahasa berdasarkan gender yaitu danseigo (ragam bahasa pria) dan joseigo (ragam bahasa wanita). Danseigo dan joseigo dapat ditandai dengan adanya shuujoshi yang memiliki fungsi dan karakteristik tersendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui shuujoshi danseigo dan joseigo yang digunakan oleh para tokoh pada anime yang berjudul Karigurashi no Arietty serta mengetahui fungsinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC). Terdapat 69 tuturan dari 50 dialog yang menggunakan shuujoshi. Adapun jenis  shuujoshi danseigo yang ditemukan yaitu  ~zo, ~na, dan ~kana. Sementara itu jenis shuujoshi joseigo yang ditemukan diantaranya ~wa. ~wane, ~wayo, dan ~kashira. Berdasarkan 32 tuturan dari 30 dialog yang dianalisis terdapat shuujoshi danseigo sebanyak 12 tuturan dan shuujoshi joseigo sebanyak 20 tuturan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan fungsi shuujoshi danseigo pada anime Karigurashi no Arietty sebagian besar menunjukkan fungsi memerintah dan menekankan pernyataan, sementara shuujoshi joseigo menunjukkan fungsi untuk melembutkan pernyataan.

Abstract

Realitas program MBKM berupa praktik magang di Perusahaan Jepang belum optimal, dengan adanya problematik spesifik, seperti culture shock, sebatas seremonial, belum secara holistik memuat penguasaan bahasa asing, tidak bekelanjutan, sehingga kurang berdampak terhadap terbentuknya mahasiswa Indonesia yang berkarakter unggul dan berwawasan global, maka bersifat penting untuk diatasi. Mengingat program MBKM berupa praktik magang di Jepang, memiliki potensi positif, seperti penguatan karakter unggul dan wawasan global mahasiswa, selaku representasi atas kapasitas sumber daya manusia berkelas dunia, potensi akulturasi budaya Jepang dengan Indonesia, juga potensi keberlanjutan untuk kepentingan karier mahasiswa pasca lulus program MBKM di Perusahaan Jepang terkait berbasis kompetensi. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis praktik MBKM di Jepang: telaah kritis terhadap potensi, problematik dan keberlanjutannya dalam membentuk mahasiswa indonesia yang berkarakter unggul juga berwawasan global, berbasiskan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode grounded theory. Untuk memperkuat teori dan mengesampingkan atau menentang teori secara objektif, maka dilakukan analisis data, meliputi teknik reduksi, display, dan verifikasi  selanjutnya validitas data. Riset ini menyatakan bahwa melalui program MBKM mampu menjadi wahana strategis dalam transfer of knowledge, skills, disposition juga technology, yang memperkuat teori civic competence dan kerja sama Indonesia dan Jepang yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia Indonesia agar berkelas dunia. Selain itu, juga mampu mengatasi realitas fenomena ageing population yang terjadi di Jepang, yang menyebabkan Jepang membutuhkan tenaga kerja asing atau tenaga migran yang kompeten demi keberlangsungan produktivitas, sehingga program MBKM memberikan dampak positif bagi Indonesia dan Jepang.
