Abstract

The research objectives in this study are to determine the characteristics of unsignalized intersections, to determine the performance of unsignalized intersections, and to find the best alternative to solving existing problems at unsignalized intersections. From the results of research and analysis that has been carried out at the intersection of Jl.Gadang Bumiayu - Jl.Rajasa - Jl. Kyai Parseh Jaya Selatan - Jl. Kyai Parseh Utara Malang City, it can be concluded that the flow of vehicles is stable or smooth, good road conditions, no sidewalks, no road markings, no traffic signs. The performance of the intersection Jl. Gadang Bumiayu - Jl. Rajasa - Jl. Kyai Parseh Jaya Selatan - Jl. Kyai Parseh Jaya Utara for the highest traffic volume occurs on Saturdays with the highest traffic volume. The highest traffic volume occurs on Saturdays with the highest total volume occurring in each direction amounting to 3477 skr/hour with a degree of saturation equal to 0.67, so the level of service is C. Which is where the traffic flow conditions are still in a stable state but the motion and speed of the vehicle are controlled. Alternative solutions that can be provided are the installation of no parking signs, the installation of road markings at the intersection of Jalan Gadang Bumiayu so that there is no accumulation of vehicles in the middle of the intersection and there is no intersection in the road marking field.

Abstract

Batu City is a city that is the center and has a variety of supporting activities that make the Batu City Square area a place with 24-hour activities. This is because the Batu City square offers facilities that make visitors feel satisfied while in the square, the activities that occur in Batu city not only occur inside the building, but many activities that occur outside the building such as street vendors who carry out trading activities along the sidewalks of the Batu City Square Area. So that the real impact of the misuse of sidewalks by these street vendors causes pedestrians to use the shoulder of the road in the traffic area, this results in traffic flow becoming obstructed and less comfortable, causing the level of safety and comfort of road users to decrease. So it is necessary to analyze the level of service related to pedestrian satisfaction or comfort with the use of the Batu City Square sidewalk. The conclusions that can be drawn include the level of Service (LOS) of the Batu Square Area on the sidewalk with service level f. This level of service is quite good according to the minimum standard of sidewalk planning. The effective width of the existing sidewalk is not sufficient to accommodate the volume and flow of pedestrians in the Batu Square area, so that pedestrians are not free to precede other pedestrians or change the speed of walking.

Abstract

Supriyadi Road is a pleasant urban road in Blitar City. It functions as a two-way two-lane collector road (2/2 UD) and is located in the PETA Monument area. The route has a length of 2.46 kilometers. This road section deserves close attention because it is surrounded by tourist attractions and schools. Parking activities at these locations occupy most of the road, resulting in a reduction in the effective width of the road. Around the PETA monument, which is about 200 meters long, there are four school areas: SMKN 3 Blitar, SMPN 3 Blitar, SMPN 5 Blitar, and SMPN 6 Blitar. In addition, there is the Bung Karno Tomb Tour. As a result, there tends to be a large density of people during peak hours in this area. This study aims to determine the performance of S.Supriyadi road in Blitar city and ensure predictions for the next five years. This research uses descriptive methodology and refers to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI, 2014). The results showed that the Degree of Saturation (DJ) value was recorded at 0.55 during the Monday peak hour, falling into the level of service C category. Meanwhile, the forecast for the next five years (2026) for DJ stands at 0.55. This indicates that the S. Supriyadi road section falls into the level of service C category, i.e. traffic flow remains stable but vehicle speed is regulated.

Abstract

Fire protection systems are needed to minimize the impact and losses caused by fire, as it is a dangerous hazard that can have a significant negative impact on society. Building B of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University has not fully complied with the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 26/PRT/M/2008 on Technical Requirements for Fire Protection Systems in Buildings and the Environment, based on the findings of the previous fire safety system inspection. The fire protection system requirements of Building B of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University were analyzed by considering the system requirements as well as the requirements for sprinklers, building hydrants, and evacuation routes in case of fire. Finding out what makes a building and whether a fire protection system is required is the purpose of this research. Data for this research was collected through visits to institutions, observations, interviews, assessment and measurement of fire safety systems, and literature studies. Afterwards, the research findings were examined and evaluated for conclusions. The fire safety equipment component has a weight value of 8.14 and a condition value of 8.00. This shows that the protection system of block B of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University still has a poor utility component. A groundwater tank with a water capacity of 300 m3, a complete Hydrant box requires 72,000 liters of air, a Hydrant pillar requires 68,400 liters of air, and a sprinkler system requires 91,560 liters of air, according to the needs of the fire protection system analysis. The recommendations are intended to improve the fire safety system of building B of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University.
