Abstract

The Baluran Street Sumberejo Village Banyuputih Districts Situbondo Districts KM SBY 230-231 is categorized as block spot area with 15 accident to 6 dead, 6 people seriously injured (LB) and minor injuries (LR ) 21 people as well as the material loss of Rp113.250.000,00 during the year 2015-2017. The purpose of this study is determined to the factor accident and provided recommendation for handling road safety in the case of traffic accidents. The road safety analysis data used are road safety audit data and accident data released by Unit Laka Lantas Polres Situbondo in 2017. The result of road safety analysis indicates that several road facilities are categorized as “dangerous” and/or “very dangerous” which shall be improved to reduce traffic accident potential. The improvement may includes (1) the geometric aspect of the road, including stop visibility, sight distance to overtake, bend radius, vertical ramp, critical length, vertical bend length, stop visibility at vertical arch, different shoulder elevation road to pavement edge; (2) pavement aspect, including hole and crack; and (3) the complementary aspects of the road including the speed limit at the corner, climbing sign, sign of descendant, anticipatory prohibition sign, bend sign, double bend sign, and road marking. Jalan Raya Baluran Desa Sumberejo Kecamatan Banyuputih Kabupaten Situbondo KM SBY 230-231 merupakan lokasi rawan kecelakaan yang mengalami 15 kejadian kecelakaan dengan jumlah korban meninggal dunia (MD) sebanyak 6 orang, korban luka berat (LB) 6 orang dan korban luka ringan (LR) 21 orang serta kerugian materi sebesar Rp113.250.000,00 selama tahun 2015-2017. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menentukan faktor penyebab kecelakaan dan memberikan rekomendasi penanganan keselamatan jalan pada kasus kecelakaan lalu lintas. Data analisis keselamatan jalan yang digunakan adalah data hasil audit keselamatan jalan dan data kecelakaan yang dikeluarkan oleh Unit Laka Lantas Polres Situbondo tahun 2017. Hasil analisis keselamatan jalan menunjukkan bahwa beberapa bagian fasilitas jalan berada dalam kategori “bahaya” dan atau “sangat berbahaya”, yang harus segera diperbaiki untuk memperkecil potensi terjadinya kecelakaan, yaitu: (1) aspek geometrik jalan yang meliputi jarak pandang henti, jarak pandang menyiap, radius tikungan, landai vertikal, panjang kritis, panjang lengkung vertikal, jarak pandang henti pada lengkung vertikal, beda elevasi bahu jalan terhadap tepi perkerasan; (2) aspek perkerasan jalan yang meliputi kerusakan berupa lubang dan retak; dan (3) aspek pelengkap jalan yang meliputi rambu batas kecepatan di tikungan, rambu tanjakan, rambu turunan, rambu larangan mendahului, rambu tikungan, rambu tikungan ganda, dan marka jalan.

Abstract

Palopo City is one of the peanut production centres in South Sulawesi. However, from 2008 to 2020, groundnut production in Palopo City has decreased. Recently, in South Sulawesi, it was reported that peanut stripe virus infection has spread widely and evenly in peanut plants. Symptoms of stripe disease include dark green and light green leaf colour, chlorosis, and can cause stunting. This study aims to determine the estimation of yield loss caused by stripe disease in peanut plants in Polopo City, South Sulawesi. This research was conducted in a farmer-owned groundnut field located in Purangi Village, Sendana Subdistrict, Palopo City, South Sulawesi, from January to May 2023. Parameters observed were plant height, disease severity and incidence, and yield loss. Observations were made 6 times on plants aged 4 to 9 weeks after planting. The results showed that the symptoms of striped disease showed that the growth of peanut plant height was inhibited, and caused a decrease in the number of pods, pod weight, and pod number. Disease severity increased to 57.2% and disease incidence to 46.6%. Yield loss caused by stripe symptoms in peanut plants was 43.78%, indicating that high disease severity and incidence can reduce yield.

Abstract

Abstrak Keamanan bangunan menjadi aspek krusial demi menghindari kejadian kegagalan konstruksi. Pemerintah memberikan persyaratan administratif dan kelaikan teknis sesuai fungsi bangunan, salah satu persyaratan yang ditetapkan adalah Sertifikat Laik Fungsi (SLF). Pemerintah Jember akan menerapkan kewajiban pemeriksaan kelaikan fungsi bangunan gedung pelayanan publik. Namun, banyak pemilik atau pengelola bangunan masih banyak yang belum mengetahui pentingnya SLF. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan pengelola bangunan gedung pelayanan publik dalam menyambut penerapan SLF di Kota Jember. Metode diagram fishbone digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor utama yang berpengaruh pada efektifitas dan berpengaruh pada kelaikan fungsi bangunan. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi studi literatur, pengumpulan data, analisis menggunakan pemodelan diagram fishbone, dan penyusunan rekomendasi peningkatan persyaratan kelaikan fungsi bangunan. Adapun hasil analisis menggunakan diagram fishbone dan brainstorming didapatkan hasil 21 variabel dominan dalam pengajuan persyaratan kelaikan fungsi bangunan dan beberapa upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk peningkatan persyaratan kelaikan fungsi bangunan. Kata kunci: Sertifikat Laik Fungsi, Fishbone, Brainstorming, Pelayanan Publik, Green Building  Abstract Building safety becomes an important factor to avoid undesirable events. To address this, the government provides administrative and technical feasibility requirements according to the function of the building, which is the Certificate of Feasibility (SLF). Jember government will implement the obligation of inspecting the feasibility of public service buildings. Many building owners or managers still unaware of the importance of SLF. The fishbone diagram method is used to identify the main factors influencing the effectiveness and feasibility of building functions. Based on this, this research aims to determine the readiness level of public service building managers in welcoming the implementation of SLF in Jember City. The research include literature study, data collection, analysis using fishbone diagram modeling, and recommendations for improving building feasibility requirements. The analysis results there are 21 dominant variables in submitting building feasibility requirements and several efforts that can be made to improve the building feasibility requirements. Keywords: Certificate of Occupancy, Fishbone, Brainstorming, Public Service, Green Building

Abstract

Transportation is a crucial element in the development of an area, especially in the context of developing transportation routes in Lampon Beach, Banyuwangi Regency. With inadequate road access, the development of road routes on this beach is a priority to increase the region's economic productivity by utilizing the potential of natural resources. This research applied the spatial data-based Technology-Based Integration Method with the support of ArcGIS and Civil 3D software. Two road traces were generated, with the total length of trace 1 is 4.76 km and trace 2 is 4.98 km; the volume data of trade 1 with excavation amounted to 52,064.09 m3, and embankment amounted to 15,002.59 m3. Meanwhile, the volume of trade 2 with excavation amounted to 89,464.92 m3, and the barrier amounted to 12,537.02 m3. These results demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of infrastructure planning on the geographical and spatial characteristics of the region. The assessment of excavation and embankment costs provides an overview of the resources required by applicable standards and regulations. This approach contributes significantly to selecting efficient road routes and a better understanding the resources needed for infrastructure development.

Abstract

The Farming Club Unit (UFC) is a student organization that focuses on sustainable agriculture through hydroponic cultivation. However, limited business diversification has hindered its economic potential, necessitating innovations to strengthen the institution and increase revenue. One promising solution is the farming of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots as an alternative for organic waste management and sustainable animal feed production. This community service program was implemented using a participatory-educational approach, which included lectures, interactive discussions, BSF farming demonstrations, and independent maintenance practices conducted by participants under the guidance of the service team. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments, analyzed descriptively, and supported by gain score calculation to measure program effectiveness. The results revealed a significant improvement in participants' knowledge, from an average pre-test score of 31.0% to a post-test score of 95.3%, with an average gain score of 0.92 (in the high category). These findings indicate that the training effectively enhanced the capacity of UFC managers in mastering BSF maggot farming skills. The implication of this program is the creation of opportunities for UFC to diversify its business, generate additional income, and contribute to reducing organic waste generation through sustainable agricultural practices.
