Abstract

To determine the level of service of an intersection should be calculated on the performance. And in Indonesia, intersection performance calculations performed using the method MKJI. MKJI methods have software that is KAJI. Along with the changing times, there are other software that circulated in Indonesia, one of which is the PTV Vistro. In contrast to KAJI, this software using HCM 2010. Therefore necessary to analyze the results of calculations both the software. In this study, both the software used to calculate the performance of several examples of intersections in Jember. And then the results of the calculation of performance compared. The analysis shows that at signalized intersections, KAJI and PTV Vistro produce the same degree of saturation pattern. However PTV Vistro tend to produce better performance than the KAJI. Whereas in unsignalized intersections, both the software shows a different pattern.

Abstract

Porous concrete which became one of the solutions in pavement construction and is a product that can be said to be successful in meeting the expectations as environmentally friendly construction. Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic polymer group, is formed by applying heat. This type of plastic is used widely in the chemical industry today. Plastic has many advantages, namely thermal resistance compared with other types of plastic, resistant to impact, and very clear. Research "Design of Porous Slab Concrete with Polycarbonate" as a solution in the construction of permeable pavement or impervious to the reservoir and is a product that can be expected as environmentally friendly construction. Examples of permeable pavement is existing streets in residential areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and park area. In this study will be made slab with thickness of 5 cm, width 40 cm length 40 cm of porous concrete which is used in making sheets of polycarbonate  pores and porous concrete slab is expected to have a compressive strength and flexural high enough and friendly environment. As an outcome of this study is expected porous slab is used for road pavement, parking lot, residential or rural road vehicle load is not heavy intensity. The results of the study with a polycarbonate porous concrete slab can be summarized as follows: Plates are ideal for porous plate is polycarbonate plate with a distance of 8 cm, which is similar to the strong bending without polycarbonate slab and permeability is also good.

Abstract

Passenger car equivalence (PCE) is the conversion factor of various types of vehicles to become passenger cars. Passenger car equivalence function is to make uniform heterogeneous traffic flow into homogeneous traffic flow. The value of passenger car equivalence of each type of vehicle is different in each size, because every road has different traffic characteristics and geometric condition. This study was conducted in order to get the appropriate value of passenger car equivalence in the research area. The researcher colleted the data of traffic volume and the road’s geometry using Primer survey. The analysis method that is used to get the value of passenger car equivalence is multiple linier regression analysis. The finding values of passenger car equivalence in the PB. Sudirman street (2/2 UD) are MC = 0,32 and HV=2,31, the Ahmad Yani street (3/1) are MC= 0,34 and HV= 1,3. While, based on MKJI 1997 the passenger car equivalence values of PB. Sudirman street are MC=0,4 and HV = 1.3, andthe Ahmad Yani street are MC = 0.25 and HV = 1.3.So, the different values of passenger car equivalence in Sudirman Street are with rasio 11% for MC and 28% for HV. While, in Ahmad Yanistreet the different values are with rasio 14% for MC and 37% for HV. So that, in morning peak hours the value of DS regression in BP sudirman is smaller than MKJI and the difference is 7%. while in Ahmad Yani street, the value of DS regression is bigger than MKJI and the diference is 9%.

Abstract

Abstract

There is a tendency to concentrate housing area in southern part of Jember territory. This demographic condition caused traffic congestion during the rush hour. The objectives of this research are for estimating the priority weights of mode election, estimating the form of modal election models, and analyzing the sensitivity of factors in election of mode. Based on AHP, the result showed that the safety factor is become the main priority (46%), then the second is cost (41%), the third is time (8%) and the last is comfortable (5%).  Based on the various factors that give effect to mode election, it’s known that lyn is the lowest priority (7%), motor cycle is 48% and car is 45%. The sensitivity analysis result, it’s known that decreasing and increasing of priority for each criterion do not give any significant changing in the election of lyn as working trips alternative transportation mode.

Abstract

Abstract

The passenger movements were limited by the government policies that made new system decisions, namely large-scale social distancing policies. However, over time several regions in Indonesia have begun to end large-scale social distancing called new normal. The new normal condition has undoubtedly changed the pattern of mode choice of the passenger. Little attention has been paid to the travel mode choice under the new normal condition. Therefore, this study aims to understand the travel mode choice model of train and bus, especially in the new normal era. The primary data was collected using the stated preference online-based survey. This study performed a Binomial-Logit-Difference model. From the modelling result, 89% of the passenger will choose the bus if the train's travel fare is IDR 160,000 higher. The probability value will be equal when the ticket fare of the bus is IDR 25,000 higher than train’s travel cost. It indicates that people choose the bus mode because of the travel cost factor. Directions for the future study are presented.

Abstract

The number of underage accidents in Jember Regency in 2011-2012 increased from 37 to 190 cases. Therefore, bicycle and pedestrian paths were planned through the School Safe Route program that could encourage students to choose to ride a bicycle or walking. The method of this study was the Level of Service analysis (LOS), student and travel characteristics, cross tabs, bicycle lanes, pedestrians, and road equipment facilities. The results showed that the level of road service on each road section varied, including LOS A, B, D and E. The characteristic and common cross tabs analysis results showed that most transportations used by students were motorcycles. Still, there was a relatively large proportion of students’ willingness to change their transportation mode in operational conditions if bicycle and pedestrian path facilities were provided. Cycle path analysis showed that the types of bicycle lanes were planned, specifically type A and C, with a bicycle lane width was 1.44 m for each lane. From the calculation of the minimum effective width of the sidewalk obtained 1.01 m with a crossing facility in the form of a pelican crossing with waiting stalls. Several road equipment facilities were planned, such as traffic signs, road markings and Traffic Signaling Equipment (TSE). Bicycle and pedestrian routes were planned at Tawang Mangu Street, Danau Toba Street, Mastrip Barat Street, Kalimantan Street, Jawa Street, Karimata Street, M.T. Haryono Street, Letjen S. Parman Street, Letjen Panjaitan Street and Letjen Suprapto Street.
