Abstract

With the development of the current education curriculum, teachers and educators must use HOTS questions more in the learning and assessment process. Students do not just passively remember or understand information; these questions encourage them to apply, analyze, evaluate, and create based on the material they have learned It is anticipated that the intellectual capacities of students encompass not only extensive and profound analytical skills but also the capability to address emerging challenges in a continuously evolving world. This research delves into the competence of students to resolve questions categorized under HOTS at the C4, C5, and C6 levels, as outlined in Bloom’s taxonomy, utilizing a quantitative descriptive approach. Findings from this investigation reveal that fifth-grade students at UPT SDN Panyirapan demonstrate proficient problem-solving skills in science-related HOTS queries, achieving an average score of 71.55 across each HOTS level.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a test instrument to measure students' higher order thinking skills in the field of mathematics to produce a test instrument to measure problem solving skills by looking at the development procedure and the quality of the developed mathematical problem solving test instrument. The type of research used is the development of test instruments to measure mathematical problem solving skills. The test subjects in this study were fifth grade students of Banjar Agung 2 State Elementary School, Serang City, totaling 30 students. Based on the results of the trials conducted, it was found that: (1) the math problem solving test instrument has been said to be "valid" because based on the CVR results, namely 1 and meets the criteria, namely ≥0.99 and CVI, namely 1 with a very suitable category or is in the range of 0.68-1.00 (2) the math problem solving test instrument has been said to be reliable with a value of 0.76 with a high category, and is in the range of 0.60 <r11<0, 80 (3) the math problem solving test instrument has a fairly good difficulty level, namely 50% of the questions have a good difficulty level then the average difficulty level obtained is 0.59 with a moderate category, which is in the range of 0.31-0.70 (4) the math problem solving test instrument has a good differentiating power 100% of the questions meet the criteria for differentiating power and the average differentiating power obtained is 0.38 with a sufficient category or in the range Dp>0.2. Thus the math problem solving test instrument in the form of High Order Thinking Skill has good quality.

Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of literacy understanding in folklore. Folk poetry is a part of oral literature that is widely found around the student environment. In the cognitive development of students, folklore is one of the teaching materials that can increase students' understanding of the surrounding area. Thus, it can be analyzed simultaneously related to the evaluation of the realm of students' language attitudes towards literacy understanding from the folklore read. This study is quantitative research with a descriptive research design. The researcher described the students' language attitude towards literacy understanding from the folklore "Batu Menangis". The population in this study is 30 students in class IV SD Unggulan Uswatun Hasanah. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire on language attitudes and literacy comprehension. The data analysis in this study uses a statistical calculation method with the help of the SPSS 21 program. The results of the research analysis show that it can be categorized that students' attitudes towards understanding story literacy are included in the good category. The data was obtained that of the total research subjects, there were 10 subjects who had a very good assessment of Indonesian language attitudes. The results of the above analysis also show that there is a desire for students to reflect on themselves to contribute to the development of the Indonesian language is still very good. By understanding the realm of language affective in literacy understanding, students can implement it in their environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the extent of citizen involvement in political activities and socialisation in everyday life and how to implement it. This article uses a literature study type of research where previous research that has been collected will be compiled, analysed and then concluded so as to get observations about the material under study. The conclusion of this research includes all Indonesian citizens who participate in political practices and socialisation in every daily activity, one of which is by using a case-based learning system, and how teenagers use social media responsibly, then ordinary people who involve themselves with democracy through voting and expressing their opinions wisely in accordance with the teachings of Civic Education and Pancasila.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes yang layak digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis mencakup keterampilan siswa dalam menyampaikan ide, menjelaskan proses pemecahan masalah, serta menggunakan bahasa dan simbol matematika secara tepat. Instrumen dikembangkan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan kisi-kisi dan soal, validasi oleh ahli, serta uji coba terhadap 30 siswa SMP. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan disusun secara sistematis. Uji coba empiris menunjukkan bahwa setiap butir soal memiliki korelasi yang tinggi dengan total skor, sementara nilai reliabilitas menunjukkan tingkat konsistensi internal yang kuat. Selain itu, soal memiliki tingkat kesukaran sedang hingga mudah dan daya pembeda yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, instrumen dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP. Instrumen ini juga dapat menjadi referensi bagi guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

The researcher aims to develop HOTS test instruments that can evoke the problem-solving process in mathematics subjects on the material of the properties of flat shapes. The method used in this research is the development research method (R&D) which is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve existing products. This research uses quantitative question analysis. Quantitative question analysis with validity test according to 3 experts on mathematics cognitive ability test using Aiken formula test. Furthermore, the interrater reliability test was carried out on the question using the Ebel formula (1951), the formula given by Ebel was used to estimate the reliability of the assessment results of k assessors on n subjects, followed by analysis of the test items to determine the level of difficulty of the items, differentiating power, and the effectiveness of the checkers with the formula. Then the empirical validation test is carried out by calculating the correlation coefficient between the total score of the question and the score of each item. The formula used to calculate this correlation is shown by the product moment correlation formula. Furthermore, it is tested with reliability with the Cronbach's Alpha formula. Cronbach's Alpha is a measure of reliability that has a value ranging from zero to one the results of expert theoretical validation of the mathematics cognitive ability test obtained a score of 0.87 including in the good category, while the Interrater reliability test results show a score of 0.53 which is interpreted as a moderate coefficient. calculation of the level of difficulty there are four questions in the medium category, ten questions are in the high category one question is in the high category. The results of empirical validity calculate reliability using the Cronbach Alpha formula obtained a number 0.91 interpreted according to Guilford the value of r = 0.91 including very high criteria.

Abstract

Advances in technology encourage teachers to become digital teachers who can innovate 21st-century learning. The development of instructional video media is a solution in creating active and popular learning today. Thinking critically, systematically, and logically in solving problems is part of numeracy, its simple ability to use mathematical sentences in everyday life. Therefore, the researcher developed an instructional video media through numeracy-based for grade III elementary school students at SDS Maria Mediatrik; the material for adding and decreasing fractions is the same. This study used the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE research model (analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating). This study aimed to see the video development process, the feasibility of learning videos, students' responses to learning videos and provide provisions for understanding after using instructional videos. Numeracy-based. The validation of video learning media obtained 88.33% with the category "very feasibility" tested. Student responses get an average of 97.50% in the "very good" category. The understanding results show an average value of 81.25; thus, this study concluded that "the value exceeds the 75 criteria for the school's minimum completeness criteria (KKM)

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of Geoboard media and to examine students' mathematical understanding after implementing Geoboard media in grade IV mathematics learning at SDN Serang 11. Geoboard media is a teaching tool designed to help elementary students understand geometry concepts, including plane figures, area, and perimeter. This research applied a Research and Development (R&D) method with stages consisting of problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and limited trials. The results showed that the Geoboard media, designed like a chessboard, received validation scores of 90% from material experts, 88% from media experts, and 93.5% from students’ responses, which were categorized as very appropriate. The use of Geoboard media effectively improved students’ mathematical understanding, as evidenced by an average score above the KKM (81.75%). The final product was deemed highly suitable, efficient, and attractive as a learning media for teaching plane figures in grade IV mathematics.
