Abstract

The number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indonesia continue to increase. This increase influenced by the behavior of Indonesian citizens in dealing with the pandemic, one of which is rarely wearing masks. In this study, we implemented an object detection method for intelligent surveillance systems (ISS) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta. By implementing face detection and mask detection, the surveillance system can recognize whether a person in a CCTV video frame is wearing a mask or not. In addition, deep metric learning and histogram of gradient (HOG) are applied to recognize faces of unmasked people in images. The test results show that the surveillance system can recognize the use of masks with 75%-87% accuracy rate. Furthermore, the accuracy rate for facial recognition on images ranges from 69% -100% for each person

Abstract

This review of the literature looks into the use of vibration and thermal signals for the diagnosis and detection of bearing problems in brushless DC (BLDC) motors. The study highlights the efficacy of current developments in diagnostic algorithms and signal processing approaches in detecting bearing irregularities. The comparative study of vibration and heat monitoring techniques is highlighted, along with a discussion of each method's benefits and drawbacks. The integration of various methods for improved fault detection accuracy is also examined in the paper. The results indicate that a hybrid strategy that combines temperature analysis and vibration provides a reliable way to identify BLDC motor problems early on, which could enhance maintenance plans and operational dependability.

Abstract

The development of Traffic Light Design with Infrared Sensors is done to accommodate about how many vehicles may pass through each lane in inersections. The traffic light is using infrared sensors at each lane to measure the density of vehicles. Infrared sensor then sends those data to micro-SD card module to be stored. Arduino Mega will receive data from infrared and real-time clock module about how many vehicles and what time they were counted to then display it on liquid crystal display. A detailed description of each component, the architecture and system design of prototype has been provided. The system prototype has been simulated in Fritzing simulation software.

Abstract

In the printing industry process, monitoring is necessary for quality control of the product. The making of the tool on this project serves to monitor the output of the production machine. This monitoring is done by detecting the product output from the production machine using Sensor E18 D80NK. When the sensor detects the output, the sensor sends a signal to the Arduino UNO R3 which will calculate the amount of output from the product. Arduino will send information of the number of outputs via a USB connection to a central computer that is a Raspberry Pi 3 model B. The Python program on Raspberry Pi will read input from each Arduino address and display the data in realtime. At the same time, the data will be stored as a text file. This text file contains the number of product output and the time of the output. The prototype of this tool has been successfully created and there is still much development to do.
