Abstract

Loading between phases must always be considered in order to reduce the imbalance, which results in an increase in neutral current and loss of conductor power. Non-linear loads can cause harmonics that affect the increase in copper losses in the transformer. Harmonics can cause distortion of the voltage and current waveforms, so attention must be paid to the specified limits so as not to interfere with the performance of electrical equipment. In addition, these parameters can affect the main electrical parameters, so they must be considered at the specified limits. This study aims to analyze the condition of load imbalance, harmonic content, and the effect on power loss in distribution transformers at Universitas Bangka Belitung. Parameters were measured using a Meterel Power Meter Analyzer type MI 2592 Power Q4 for ten days with the comparative method as a data analysis method. The average current unbalanced percentage is 9.91%, with the highest value at 24.31%. Energy due to power loss in the neutral conductor is 0.46 kWh/10 days, and the total conductor loss is 18.122 kWh/10 days.

Abstract

Rooftop Solar Power Plants are an alternative option for environmentally friendly power plants. The application of this technology for the electricity needs of residential areas can be done with the Solar Home System (SHS). One of the roofs that can be used for PV rooftops is the roof of the house in D'Rich Arasel housing with a roof area of 65.5 m². PV Rooftop in D'Rich Arasel housing is designed to meet daily electrical energy needs. The PV rooftop design uses 2 systems, system 1 is a PV mini-grid system based on a daily load that uses 22 units of 250 wp solar panels, 17 units of 150Ah batteries, 1 unit of 3 kW inverter, and 1 unit of solar charge controller 250 A which produces 4077 kWh/year at an investment cost. of Rp. 318,103,346 for 15 years and obtained an NPV value of Rp.-209.932,101. In system 2, namely the PV system based on the entire roof area using 36 units of 200 wp solar panels, 24 units of 150Ah batteries, 1 unit of 8 kW inverter, and 1 unit of a solar charge controller 250 A which produces 12851 kWh/year with an investment cost of Rp. 478,782,406 for 15 years and obtain an NPV value of Rp. 182,529,881.

Abstract

Semujur Island is one of the islands in the administrative area of Central Bangka Regency, to be precise in Kebintik Village, Pangkalan Baru District. Dominantly the existing land of Semujur Island is in the form of gardens/fields and shrubs with trees that are rarely found in the east. The residential area has supporting facilities in the form of roads and docks which are concentrated on the west side of Semujur Island. The majority of residents who inhabit Semujur island come from immigrant communities (Buton, Tanjung Gunung, and Sungai Selan) which are dynamic with their main occupation as fishermen. The high level of community harmonization makes the potential for community social conflict on this island quite low. The condition of the island is still natural and the social environment where conflicts rarely occur as well as the construction of infrastructure facilities such as docks, mosques, and tourist shelters by the local government make this island suitable for use as a place for permanent residence and the development of a new tourism sector with potential. In addition, based on the measurement results of environmental parameters, it is concluded that the current quality of the waters around Semujur Island is still relatively good even though the pH level of the waters as a whole is alkaline. This allows it to be used for microalgae cultivation which is expected to open up new business opportunities so that it can improve the economic conditions of the residents and suppress the demographic dynamics of the Semujur Island community.

Abstract

Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands has the potential for palm oil commodities which contribute to the economy. Palm oil processing produces biomass waste such as shells, fibers, and empty fruit bunches. Biomass in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands has a potential of 217.7 MW. CO₂ emissions are mostly from burning fossil coal where the CO₂ produced is dangerous. Alternatives are needed to reduce these CO₂ emissions. One of them is biomass. This plan uses a forecasting method to get an estimate of the energy potential of palm oil waste in 2022-2032 in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands and CO₂ emissions generated from palm oil waste energy. By using modeling, evaluating methods, forecasting, and calculating energy potential as well as CO₂ emissions from biomass, it can be concluded that the projected energy potential of palm oil waste from 2022 to 2032 will increase every year and can help fulfill regional energy requirements for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. In 2025 the energy produced by 15.29 thousand TOE can help meet the energy requirement of 27.91 thousand TOE 2025. In 2030 the energy produced by 28.12 thousand TOE can help fulfill 46.79 thousand TOE of energy 2030. CO₂ emissions The amount of biomass from palm oil waste in 2022-2032 is increasing every year along with the increase in energy produced from palm oil waste biomass. Keywords: oil waste energy, biomass, energy, CO2 emissions

Abstract

Electricity in Indonesia, especially in the Bangka Belitung Islands, has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The effect occurred at the beginning of the pandemic in the second quarter of 2020, namely the household sector rose to 3.3%, the social sector fell -3.1%, the industrial sector rose to 15%, business fell -9.8%, the office sector government buildings rose 3%, and the public/other street lighting sector fell -47%. By using statistical tests on the classical assumption test all sectors are normally distributed. In the partial test using multiple linear regression test for the household sector, industry, and government office buildings, only connected power affects energy consumption, namely 70.5%, 97.7%, and 37.4%. In the social and business sectors, there is an effect of connected power and tariff prices on energy consumption, namely 92% and -13%, while business is 42% and 10%, respectively. By using the simultaneous test, the household sector has an effect of 68.2%, the social sector is 75.5%, the industrial sector is 97.5%, the business sector is 44.2% and government buildings are 32.5%.

Abstract

Voltage and current harmonics produced by nonlinear loads which reduce electrical power quality and energy saving lamp is one of example of it. This research was done by performing studies in harmonic voltage and harmonic current from four different brands of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt and uses IEEE Standard of 519-1992 as a reference in determining maximum limitation voltage and current harmonics. The result of the tests were showed that total harmonic distortion (THD) voltage at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt did not exceed the IEEE 519-1992 maximum limitation of 5%. While total harmonic distortion (THD) current at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt had exceed result range exceeding 71,2%. After using low pass RC filter as passive electronic circuit, the total harmonic distortion (THD) current was obtained for each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt, it was showed that the range of total harmonic distortion (THD) current under 14,262%.
