Abstract

The Asrah Batin tradition is a regional tradition that is still ongoing today. The Asrah Batin tradition is a social phenomenon that needs attention from the community. Therefore, it is necessary to examine to find out the form, function, and meaning of this tradition. The problems studied are related to the Asrah Batin tradition, namely (1) how is the form, function and meaning of the Asrah Batin tradition for the supporting community. The aims of this study are (1) to describe the form, function and meaning of the Asrah Batin tradition. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using a folklore approach. The results of the research are (1) The forms in the Asrah Batin tradition are divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the highlight of the event, and the closing event. In the preparation stage, the Gebyuk, Tuba, and Nyekar events were carried out. At the peak of the event there is a procession of sasrahan, panggih, wisuhan, reading of the history of Asrah Batin, Selametan (Kembul Bujana), Munggut, and srah-srahan. Meanwhile, the closing ceremony was performed with a tayub dance performance. (2) the functions of the existence of the Asrah Batin tradition for the supporting community are religious functions, educational functions, social and cultural functions, economic functions, and entertainment functions. (3) The symbolic meaning contained in the Asrah Batin tradition is the symbols in ubarampe. The symbols contained in ubarampe generally contain the meaning of hope and prayer to God, mutual forgiveness, advice to maintain kinship, maintain self-purity and ask for safety and blessings. The conclusions in this study are (1) The forms in the Asrah Batin tradition are divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the highlight of the event, and the closing event. (2) the functions of the existence of the Asrah Batin tradition for the supporting community are religious functions, educational functions, social and cultural functions, economic functions, and entertainment functions. (3) the meaning of the Asrah Batin tradition is in the form of symbolic meaning contained in the ubarampe used in the Asrah Batin tradition. The segatumpeng symbol has the meaning of three stages of human life, namely starting from still in the womb, life in the world, and death. These three stages must always be remembered by humans, because everything will return to Allah, ingkung means human submission to God and asking for forgiveness and being given safety, wedhak boreh ix has the meaning that people who hold salvation or ceremonial rituals are given safety and blessings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the application of the BIMA SI RAJA (Bisa Maca Sinau Aksara Jawa) learning media in learning to read and write Javanese script for class VIII of SMPN 2 Winong Pati. This is because students consider Javanese script very difficult to understand and difficult to understand by students because the form of Javanese script is almost similar and also students are not used to using Javanese script in everyday life. Another factor is caused by the teacher's delivery which only uses the lecture method and seems less varied. The teacher only provides an overview after which students are asked to work on the questions. The media used is also inadequate and less interesting which makes students seem less proficient in Javanese script. Thus, the formulation of the problem obtained is how the application and results of the BIMA SI RAJA (Bisa Maca Sinau Aksara Jawa) learning media. This research is included in pre-experimental design research in the form of a one-shot case study. The approach used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach, because the data obtained are calculated statistically then the data are analyzed descriptively, namely describing the results of the data calculations. The data collection used in this study was purposive sampling, while the data obtained in this study were collected by interview and observation. After data analysis, the following results were obtained: 1) In the knowledge aspect, all students obtained scores above the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), with 15 students or 58% in the Very Good category with a value range of 88-100. And 11 students or (42%) were in the Good category with a value range of 75-87. 2) In the skills aspect, obtained scores above the Minimum Completion Criteria with 11 students or 42% in the Very Good category and 15 students or 58% in the Good category. Thus, the application of the BIMA SI RAJA (Bisa Maca Sinau Aksara Jawa) learning media in learning to read and write Javanese script for class VIII of SMPN 2 Winong Pati can have an influence on the learning outcomes that have been determined.

Abstract

The need for public speaking skills among students, especially in presentations, is the basis for implementing this community service activity. The continued presence of monotonous presentation habits and the inconsistency of content with good presentation standards support the need for this program to be implemented. The purpose of implementing this community service is to optimize students' public speaking skills, especially in technology-based presentations, at SMA N 2 Semarang. The approach used in this is a community development approach. The stages used in it are 1) experience-based discussions, 2) material presentation (knowledge of public speaking techniques), 3) demonstration of making presentation media based on digital platforms, 4) guided practice, 5) independent practice, and 6) providing feedback and evaluation. Throughout these stages, participants performed well, with an average score of 87. This value is obtained based on assessment aspects, including clarity of delivery, material structure, use of digital media, and self-confidence. This community service program is effective in achieving the stated objectives and contributes to strengthening students' soft skills, helping them meet the demands of communication in the digital era. Based on all activities, participants have been able to apply interesting and interactive presentation techniques.
