Abstract

Abstrak Teks adalah satuan unit bahasa yang mengungkapkan makna secara kontektual. Konteks dapat diinterpretasikan sebagai diversitas metafungsinal, yang meliputi makna eksperiensial, makna interpersonal, dan makna tekstual. Di dalam register, makna eksperiensial direalisasikan melalui field (Medan), makna interpersonal melalui tenor (pelibat), dan makna tekstual melalui mode (sarana). Register, genre dan ideologi direalisasikan di dalam teks. Teks akan mengungkapkan makna sosial di dalam konteks situasi dan konteks budaya. Register merujuk pada konteks situasi sedangkan genre merujuk pada konteks budaya. Register meliputi field, tenor, dan mode.

Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using English subtitles from the movie "Frozen 2" to enhance students' vocabulary mastery. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design and focused on ninth-grade students at SMP PURNAMA 2 SEMARANG. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through purposive sampling. Pre-test and post-test scores were collected to analyze the data. The study found that the use of English subtitles in the movie "Frozen 2" had a significant positive impact on students' vocabulary mastery. The results of the pre-test and post-test scores showed a considerable improvement in vocabulary understanding. The mean pre-test score was 55.36, while the mean post-test score increased to 82.52. The research also assessed the N Gain scores to evaluate the effectiveness of using subtitles in the movie. The average N Gain score was calculated to be 62.08%, indicating that the approach was quite effective in enhancing vocabulary mastery among the students. Furthermore, the study addressed some of the challenges faced by students in vocabulary learning, such as boredom, difficulty in pronunciation, and struggling to remember new vocabulary words. The use of engaging media like movies was highlighted as a way to overcome these challenges and improve students' motivation to learn. In conclusion, the research demonstrated that utilizing English subtitles from the movie "Frozen 2" effectively enhanced students' vocabulary mastery. The N Gain scores reflected a significant improvement in vocabulary understanding, and the approach was found to be quite effective in helping students engage with and remember new vocabulary words.

Abstract

Research results (a) planning to increase teachers' pedagogical competence in implementing the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Brebes include 1) formulating a vision and mission, 2) analyzing teacher needs, 3) setting goals for increasing pedagogical competence, 4) preparing plans and 5 ) program to increase pedagogical competence and determine the type of activity; (b) the work program for increasing teacher pedagogical competence in implementing the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Brebes is 1) understanding the independent curriculum, 2) teachers implementing the independent curriculum in classroom learning activities, 3) teachers developing designs in developing teaching modules and 4) teachers developing designs for assessment instruments; (c) The strategy for increasing teacher pedagogical competence in implementing the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Brebes includes conducting a program evaluation so that we can know what needs to be done in the future based on the results of the evaluation. Then determine the strategy and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. Conclusion: Independent curriculum management in improving teachers' pedagogical competence at the planning stage, program implementation and strategies for increasing pedagogical competence are carried out with existing procedures and provisions, implementation involves all school components.

Abstract

The digitalization of the Teaching and Learning Process (KBM) is an instructional approach that integrates various methods, models, and technology-based media to enhance learning effectiveness. This study focuses on the role of the school principal as a manager in the digitalization of KBM at SD Negeri Randugunting 6, South Tegal District, Tegal City. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of KBM digitalization in the school. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validity is ensured through triangulation, while data analysis consists of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the school principal plays a crucial role in: (1) planning KBM digitalization, (2) organizing resources and teaching staff, (3) implementing digitalization through digital platforms, and (4) evaluating the process to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of technology integration in learning. The digitalization of KBM at SDN Randugunting 6 utilizes an integrated system based on Google Sites, enabling a more efficient digital learning experience. This study suggests that school principals and teachers should collaborate optimally in all stages of KBM digitalization to improve the quality of learning. ABSTRAKDigitalisasi Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM) merupakan proses pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan berbagai metode, model, dan media berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer dalam digitalisasi KBM di SD Negeri Randugunting 6 Kecamatan Tegal Selatan, Kota Tegal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi digitalisasi KBM di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi teknik, sedangkan analisis data mencakup tahap pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan penting dalam: (1) perencanaan digitalisasi KBM, (2) pengorganisasian sumber daya dan tenaga pendidik, (3) pelaksanaan digitalisasi melalui penggunaan platform digital, serta (4) evaluasi untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan efektivitas penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Digitalisasi di SDN Randugunting 6 menggunakan sistem terintegrasi berbasis Google Sites, sehingga pembelajaran berbasis digital dapat berjalan lebih efisien. Penelitian ini menyarankan kepala sekolah dan guru untuk berkolaborasi secara optimal dalam seluruh tahapan digitalisasi KBM guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This article with the title The Implementation of h-CFTM (hybrid-Child Friendly Teaching Model) as a Reinforcement for Independent Learning for Students at SMP Negeri 14 Semarang is the outcomes of Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) for SMP Negeri 14 Semarang in applying of h-CFTM (Hybrid-Child Friendly Teaching Model) as Strengthening Implementation Independent Student Learning. Partner in this PKM activity was SMP Negeri 14 Semarang, which is one of the Child Friendly Schools in Semarang City. The purpose of this writing is to clarify the outcomes of PKM, particularly those related to the implementation of h-CFTM at SMP Negeri 14 Semarang. PKM implementation methods included socialization, training, science and technology transfer, mentoring, monitoring, evaluation, and sustainability (follow-up). The common perception and commitment of the entire academic community in partner school, the implementation of the h-CFTM, as well as h-CFTM-Based Learning Management System are the outcomes of PKM (Hybrid-Child Friendly Teaching Model).

Abstract

This research aims to identify types of expressive speech acts, to describe the realization and the actual condition used in Billie Eilish interview's in Ellen show. The researcher used descriptive qualitative. The data of this study collected from the interview script. In this research, the data are taken from the dialogue among the Interviewer and Interviewee; this research used document analysis for analyzing the data. The finding showed there were 16 utterances of expressive speech acts, which consisted of 1 expression of apologizing (6,2 %), 1 expression of thanking (6,2 %), 6 expression of congratulating (37,5),1 expression of greeting (6,2%), 1 expression of wishing (6,2%), 5 expression of attitudes (31,2%). The result showed the expressive of congratulating are the most dominant expressive speech act he expressive of congratulating are the most dominant expressive speech act.

Abstract

This community service program aims at implementing and integrating CFTM in realizing child-friendly learning. The community service program partner is SMK Penerbangan Kartika Aqasa Bhakti Semarang. The partner is one of the child-friendly schools (SRA) in Semarang City; however, the partner has not implemented child-friendly learning. The priority problems faced by the partner are: 1) There is no common perception between students, teachers, education personnel, principals, and parents regarding the Child-Friendly School concept; 2) There is no joint commitment between students, teachers, education personnel, principals, and parents regarding the Child-Friendly School concept; 3) Students, teachers, education personnel and principals do not yet know the child-friendly learning model; and 4) There has been no implementation of the child-friendly learning model (CFTM) in the partner school. The methods used in this community service program are socialization and training, mentoring learning practices, and monitoring and evaluation. The implementation of this activity shows that the integration of the Child Friendly Teaching Model in learning in vocational schools allows for a transformation in the way teachers teach, especially in building a more positive and participatory learning environment. This is evident from the increase in student interaction, a more conducive classroom atmosphere, and changes in the teacher's approach that prioritizes empathy and active student involvement.

Abstract

English Education Study Program students of UPGRIS are required to attend the Learning Material Development (LMD) course. In this class, students are learning about preparing material dan teaching media for English classes. The final product of the course is handouts as the teaching materials, designed according to the guidelines provided by the lecturer. However, the teaching materials resulting from the design need to be assessed to determine their suitability or acceptability as teaching materials that can be used by stakeholders.  The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the assessment of teaching materials in the Learning Material Development course of the English Education Study Program, Universitas PGRI Semarang. The assessment of teaching materials is carried out through several stages, namely 1) evaluation of material presentation, 2) linguistic evaluation, 3) evaluation of teaching material content, and graphic evaluation. Furthermore, the evaluation data is described qualitatively. Based on the research, it can be concluded that: 1) the teaching materials are declared feasible for publication, and it is declared that the two material experts, 2) the teaching materials are concluded to have the materials presentation feasibility, and also feasibility for language, content, and graphics.

Abstract

The program is aimed at developing child friendly school for some schools belong to Gajah Mada Group in Batang Region. The team gives some trainings to the teachers. The materials of the training are the child friendly education concept (provision, protection, and participation); the indicators of child friendly school; and the management to develop the child friendly school. The training examines some methods, they are lecturing, discussion, accompaniment, and monitoring. After the training was done, it can be achieved that 1) all the teachers joined the lecturing on child friendly education principle; 2) a hundred precent or all the teachers take part in discussion on developing child friendly school; 3) 80% of the teachers understand the concept of child friendly education; 4) 80% of the teachers have the sufficient knowledge of child friendly school; and 5) the teachers have implemented the principles of child friendly education through the school’s program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja, konflik peran, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kesejahteraan guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Limbangan, Kabupaten Kendal. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei terhadap 161 guru sebagai responden, data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, beban kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan guru (β = -0.375; p < 0.05). Sebaliknya, konflik peran (β = 0.967; p < 0.05) dan kepuasan kerja (β = 0.492; p < 0.05) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel independen tersebut secara signifikan memengaruhi kesejahteraan guru, dengan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.647, yang berarti 64.7% varians kesejahteraan guru dijelaskan oleh ketiga variabel tersebut. Kontribusi tertinggi berasal dari konflik peran (53.43%), diikuti kepuasan kerja (29.91%), dan beban kerja (19.72%). Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa kesejahteraan guru lebih dipengaruhi oleh persepsi peran dan kepuasan kerja daripada kuantitas pekerjaan. Implikasi bagi manajemen pendidikan adalah perlunya kebijakan strategis untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang suportif, distribusi tugas yang adil, dan sistem pengakuan serta pengembangan profesional yang kuat. Upaya ini diyakini akan meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan keberlanjutan pendidikan yang kompetitif.
