Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of the Current Ratio (CR) on the performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the period 2016-2021. The data used in this research were obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange office, located at Jalan P. Mangkubumi Number 111, Cokrodiningratan, Jetis, Yogyakarta City, along with supporting websites such as www.idx.co.id and finance.yahoo.com. The research was conducted from January 2022 until completion. The analysis results indicate that the CR variable has a probability rounded to 0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.007062. The CR variable influences the 5% significance level, with a probability value of CR being 0.05, which is equal to 0.05. This indicates that the CR variable individually has a significant influence on the performance of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. The regression coefficient value indicates that CR has a positive effect on company performance. This means that an increase of 1% in CR will lead to a 0.007% increase in the performance of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Net Interest Margin (NIM), Deposit Equity Ratio (DEP), Loans to Assets Ratio (LOANS), and bank size (SIZE) on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) in commercial banks listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia (IDX). The data used is for 4 years, namely 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 with a total of 28 banking companies, using the pooled data method to obtain 112 data. The panel regression analysis method is used to test the relationship between these variables. The research results show that NIM has a significant positive influence on CAR, indicating that banks with higher net interest margins tend to have higher capital adequacy ratios. In addition, DEP and LOANS have an insignificant negative effect on CAR, indicating that banks with a higher deposit to equity ratio tend to have a lower CAR. The higher the LOA, the lower the CAR level. However, SIZE does not have a significant influence on CAR in this context. These findings provide important insights for bank management and regulators in understanding the factors that influence bank capital adequacy levels and designing appropriate policies to ensure financial system stability

Abstract

Jaran Kepang dance is a Javanese art form that features horses made of woven bamboo. This dance is not only entertainment for the community, but also holds values that symbolize life in Javanese society. This research aims to reveal the meaning of ubarampe in the guyang jaran ritual performed in the art of jaran kepang. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory. The research involved the Jaran Kepang Turonggo Mudo group in Legoksari Village, Tlogomulyo District, Temanggung Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data source triangulation. The results showed that, the guyang jaran ritual means bathing horses in the sendhang which starts from installing offerings to end praying together at pepundhen as a form of respect for ancestral spirits, repelling bad luck, and preserving culture. Some types of ubarampe used are tumpeng, sega kapirata, sega bakar, endhog jawa, ingkung, cambah pethek, juaddah pasar, jenang abang putih, incense, candles, cigarettes, kembang setaman, kembang durang, kembang wangi, degan ijo, and wedang 7 werna. Overall, the ubarampe in the guyang jaran ritual has the meaning of prayer requests, gratitude, and a form of harmonious relationship between humans and nature as well as a medium for the Legoksari village community and makes it integral in cultural and spiritual practices.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tedun merupakan sebuah ritual adat yang berakar pada kepercayaan masyarakat terdahulu Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dan fungsi rangkaian prosesi Tedun di Desa Sambong, Kecamatan Sumber, Rembang Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce. Teori Pierce digunakan untuk mengupas makna dan fungsi dari prosesi Tradisi Tedun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskptif kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan data dan analisisnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan teknik catat Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan observasi langsung terhadap pihak penyelenggara, diperoleh bahwa prosesi Tedun sekilas mirip dengan prosesi Tedhak Siten. Namun, Tradisi Tedun hanya terdiri dari tiga tahap yang berupa doa bersama, naik turun tangga dan menyebar undhik-undhik. Masing-masing dari prosesi tersebut memiliki makna syukur yang disertai harapan dari orang tua kepada sang anak. Kesimpulan: Kemudian dari analisis teori semiotika Pierce didapatkan tanda, objek, dan interpretan pada prosesi Tedun ini. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman teoritis tentang makna dan fungsi Tradisi Tedun sebagai media untuk mengekspresikan budaya leluhur dan membentuk identitas sosial di masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the vocabulary used in naming magical objects in Javanese society as icons that carry connotative meanings related to myths. The Javanese believe in various types of magical objects, such as stones, metals, as well as parts of plants and animals, which function as markers. Each vocabulary referring to these objects forms an icon with specific meanings according to their magical attributes. This research employs a qualitative approach with Barthes’ semiotic analysis, encompassing three levels of meaning: denotative, connotative, and mythological. Data were collected through interviews, recordings, observations, and note-taking with seven informants—five from the general community and two knowledgeable about primbon and Javanese mysticism—as well as written sources from Primbon texts. The findings indicate that at the denotative level, the vocabulary of magical objects represents the literal meaning of the objects. At the connotative level, the objects carry unique characteristics such as shape, color, sound, or specific traits that draw attention. Meanwhile, at the mythological level, the vocabulary of magical objects is understood as a symbolic expression of Javanese beliefs, which are thought to possess supernatural power and magical functions for their owners.

Abstract

Nyewu merupakan salah satu tradisi masyarakat Jawa yang hingga kini masih dilestarikan di berbagai daerah seperti Jawa Tengah, Yogyakarta, dan Jawa Timur. Tradisi ini bertujuan untuk mendoakan keluarga atau kerabat yang telah meninggal, dan biasanya dilaksanakan hingga seribu hari setelah kematian. Daerah Desa Baran Dukuh Lor, Kecamatan Ambarawa, nyewu tetap terjaga dan memiliki keunikan berupa penggunaan makanan tradisional sebagai bagian penting dalam upacara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce untuk mengkaji makna simbolik makanan yang digunakan dalam nyewu. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis dilakukan dengan menjelaskan tiga elemen tanda, yaitu representamen, objek, dan interpretant, untuk memahami makna budaya dan spiritual di balik setiap makanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makanan dalam nyewu memiliki makna simbolis yang mencerminkan hubungan spiritual antara manusia dan arwah leluhur. Kue apem melambangkan pengampunan dan perlindungan, kue pasung merepresentasikan peneguhan spiritual, pisang dimaknai sebagai tongkat (teken) simbolik bagi arwah dalam perjalanan menuju alam baka, sedangkan sego langgi menggambarkan bekal serta keseimbangan hidup. Melalui simbol-simbol tersebut, masyarakat mengekspresikan doa, penghormatan, dan kasih sayang kepada almarhum sekaligus memperkuat solidaritas sosial dan kearifan lokal. Makanan dalam nyewu berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai persembahan ritual, tetapi juga sebagai media komunikasi spiritual antara manusia, leluhur, dan Tuhan.
