Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between employee motivation and performance at PT Karunia Gemilang, using an associative quantitative approach. The total sample used was 65 employees, representing all members of the company's population. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, simple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, and coefficient of determination. The results show that there is a strong and significant relationship between motivation and employee performance. The correlation coefficient of 0.768 indicates that motivation has a substantial influence on employee performance. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination of 59.0% indicates that most of the variability in employee performance can be explained by variability in their motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of effective motivation strategies in human resource management to optimize employee performance. This study highlights the important role of motivation in achieving organizational goals and increasing employee work effectiveness.

Abstract

Cancer, a non-communicable illness, is the leading cause of death worldwide. In 2030, cancer is expected to exceed 21 million cases and 13 million cancer deaths globally. One of the most prevalent and significant types is prostate cancer (PCa). It is commonly associated with adenocarcinoma, which develops from the mucous glands within the organ. This review highlights available detection systems, and therapeutic options in PCa management. One prevention of deadly PCa is early diagnoses, such as prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening or genomic profiling. Further testing like MRI or CT scan may also be needed to detect cancers that have progressed to other body regions. There are several possible treatments for PCa, including watchful cancer waiting, surgery, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, and chemotherapy. Based on current studies, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) combined with docetaxel therapy enhanced great results to treat advanced PCa. The latest development, called theranostics, is a single entity that can perform both diagnostic and therapeutic functions. It can detect disease borders, track therapy in real-time, and provide prognostic data. The FDA has already authorized two prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography (PET) devices: including Gallium 68 PSMA-11 (Ga 68 PSMA-11) and Pylarify (piflufolastat F 18).

Abstract

Virgin coconut oil (VCO) has bioactivity that benefits health, such as lowering cholesterol, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Antibacterial properties of VCO related to the content of lauric acid. However, VCO has a poor physicochemical resistance. One way to improve the quality of VCO is to add antioxidant compounds, such as olive oil (OO), which has high antioxidants. This study used a blend of VCO and OO with 10% OO composition (OO10). The addition of olive oil resulted in a lower IC50 of the VCO-OO blend (41,666 ppm) compared to the pure VCO (125,000 ppm), thus suggesting that the VCO-OO blend has higher antioxidant capacity. However, neither VCO, OO nor OO10 blend showed antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy implementation regarding the assignment of the Civil Protection Unit (Satlinmas) in maintaining order, peace, and security during the 2024 Simultaneous General Elections. The research focuses on identifying the roles, recruitment mechanisms, capacity building efforts, and implementation challenges encountered in deploying Satlinmas as Order Officers at polling stations (TPS). A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as document analysis, interviews, and field observations. Bandung City was selected as the research site due to its dynamic Satlinmas involvement during the elections. The findings indicate that despite clear regulations concerning the role of Satlinmas, several implementation gaps persist in recruitment, training, and the distribution of personnel across polling stations. The lack of synergy among Satpol PP, Linmas Task Force, and the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), along with limited budget allocation, was identified as a significant obstacle in optimizing the function of Satlinmas. These findings underscore the need for a more effective policy reformulation in assigning and empowering Satlinmas. The study recommends continuous training programs, enhanced inter-agency coordination, and adequate budget provision to support the effective role of Satlinmas in ensuring safe and orderly elections.gb777
