Abstract

This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 East Angkola with the aim of 1) To find the average student learning outcomes using RQE learning on the subject of systems of linear equations in two variables at SMK Negeri 1 East Angkola 2) To find out the average results of those who did not use RQE learning strategy on the subject of systems of linear equations in East Angkola 3) To find out whether there is an influence of the RQE learning strategy on mathematics learning outcomes in class X at SMK Negeri 1 East Angkola. This research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection was carried out using the final test technique (post test). The samples in this study were class X RPL 1 and class X RPL 2 where class RPL 1 was used as the experimental class and class RPL 2 was used as the control class. This research data was analyzed using SPSS Anova statistical analysis. The research results show that t count > t table, or Ho is rejected (8.646 > 2.034). So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Reading Questioning and Answering learning strategy on the learning outcomes in mathematics for class

Abstract

This The problem in this research is the low ability of students' critical thinking in mathematics. To overcome this problem, this study applied the Example Non Example learning model. The aims of this study were (1) to find out students' mathematical critical thinking skills which were taught using the Example Non-Example learning model on the subject of geometric shapes better than learning without using the Example Non-Example learning model in class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan. (2) To find out the size of students' active learning activities in learning mathematics in the experimental class and the control class. The type of research used in this research is experimental research. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan. The research sampling technique is random sampling. The instruments used to collect data were tests of critical thinking skills in mathematics in the form of essays and observations of students' learning activities. The learning tools used in this study are lesson plans, worksheets, and test instruments. The test used is a test that has been validated and is suitable for use. Hypothesis testing used two way Anava with different number of cells, with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the analysis on the two-way Anava with unequal number of cells show: (1) Students who get the Example Non-Example learning model and the ordinary learning model get different learning outcomes in mathematics (Fa = 72.82 with Ftable = 3.97). (2) Students with high, medium, and low critical thinking skills have different learning outcomes in mathematics (Fb = 38.75 with Ftable = 3.12). (3) The results of learning mathematics between students in each learning model for each level of critical thinking skills are not different (Fab = 3.59 with Ftable = 3.12). (4) The results of observing the assessment of the ability of students' learning activities in the experimental class obtained an average of 3.04 and a percentage of 76.06% with a good grade qualification while for the control class obtained an average of 2.48 and a percentage of 62.09% with a qualifying score Enough.

Abstract

The research method used was classroom action research using two cycles carried out in the first semester with SPLDV material. The sample in this research was 36 students in class X Office Automation and Management at SMK Negeri 1 Aek Nabara. The class used as a sample is class X Office Automation and Management at SMK Negeri 1 Aek Nabara which will use Power Point media in learning. The results of the research show that the ability of students' learning outcomes in learning Mathematics through the PowerPoint media learning model for class , then increased to 88.55 in the "Good" category in cycle II. The results obtained in cycle II showed that the expected categories had been fulfilled, namely with an average score of 75 and classical completion of 75% of students getting a minimum score of Good.

Abstract

The research method used is classroom action research using two cycles carried out in the first semester with Number Pattern Material. The sample in this research was 30 students in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan who would use the Talking Chip Learning Model in learning. The results of the research show that the ability of students' learning outcomes in learning Mathematics through the Talking Chip learning model for class VIII-2 students at SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan in the Number Patterns material for the 2022/2023 academic year has increased with a completion percentage of 93.3% in the "Good" category. Furthermore, the teacher's ability to manage learning increased to 97.90% with the "Very Good" category. For this reason, the expected results have been fulfilled because they are in accordance with the minimum good category with a percentage of 80%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa kelas VII3 SMPN 9 Padangsidimpuan. Jenis penelitian ini dalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan dan penyelesaian. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII3 SMPN 9 Padangsidimpuan sebanyak 3 orang siswa. Teknik penentuan subjek yaitu dengan memberikan tes kepada seluruh siswa kelas VII3 untuk menentukan subjek yaitu siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Penentuan subjek berdasarkan pertimbangan guru mata pelajaran dan skor hasil tes. Penelitian ini mengacu pada empat aspek indikator berpikir kritis yaitu: menginterpretasi, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menginferensi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berpikir kritis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan berpikir kritis siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi, siswa yang berkemampuan sedang, dan siswa yang berkemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan disimpulkan bahwa subjek dengan kemampuan awal tinggi memenuhi keempat indikator berpikir kritis yaitu: interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Subjek dengan kemampuan awal sedang memenuhi dua indikator berpikir kritis yaitu: interpretasi dan evaluasi. Dan subjek dengan kemampuan awal rendah tidak memenuhi indikator berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah Model Pembelajaran Active learning Tipe Quiz Team dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Bentuk Aljabar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan kelas VII Semester Ganjil TA.2023/2024 yang berjumlah 24 siswa, yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team pada pokok bahasan bentuk Aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas ( PTK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelum diberikan tindakan pengajaran dengan metode Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team nilai rata-rata tes awal siswa adalah 32,19dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 4,16% dan belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar, maka diberikan tindakan pada siklus I. Setelah pemberian tindakan pengajaran melalui metode Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team pada siklus I nili rata-rata tes hasil belajar I adalah 74,16 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 54,16%. Karena pada siklus I belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar maka dilanjutkan paa siklus II, pada siklus II ini kesalahan yang ada pada siklus I diperbaiki.. Sehingga nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus II ini memperoleh peningkatan. Pada tes hasil belajar II nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 82,5 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 87,5% sehingga mengalami peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 8,34 dan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar33,34%.

Abstract

This study aims to see whether or not there is an effect of snowball throwing type cooperative learning method on mathematical communication skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. This type of research is a pseudo experiment. The research samples were VII-5 and VII-8 classes totaling 40 students. The data collection technique used is an essay-shaped test of 5 questions that have been tested with pretest and posttest reliability using the Cronbach's alpha formula in the spss application with a significant level of 5% and n = 20 which is then compared to the r table obtained a value of 0.444. It turns out that rcount> rtabel is (0.608>0.444) for the pretest and (0.556>0.444) for the posttest. Data analysis using normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The pretest results of the average value of the experimental and control classes were 63.8 and 64.05, respectively. For the posttest results, the average value of the experimental class was 82.75 and the control class was 75.65. The normality test of the pretest and posttest of the experimental and control classes has sig>0.05 and the homogeneity test of the significant value is above 0.05 or sig>0.05, so the experimental class and control class have homogeneous data conditions. For the hypothesis test, a significant value of 0.039 or 0.039 <0.05 was obtained. Thus the researcher concluded that there was an effect of the snowball throwing type cooperative learning method on the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant effect of using the Talking Stick learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes on set material at SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan, Padangsidimpuan City on set subject matter. This study used a Non-Equivalent Group Design with one type of treatment where in this study only the experimental class was given treatment while the control class was not given treatment. The samples in this study were two classes taken from the population using the Total Sampling technique. Total Sampling (Saturated Sampling). The samples in this study were students in grades VII-8 and VII-9 of SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan Padangsidimpuan City in the 2023-2024 school year. the data collection instrument used was a test. The results of research using the Talking Stick learning model on set material in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan Padangsidimpuan City. It is known that t-count> t-table (2.194> 2.002) means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that: There is a Significant Effect on the Use of the Talking Stick Learning Model on Student Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan, Padangsidimpuan City.

Abstract

This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Angkola Timur. The subjects in this research were students in class IX-2 of SMP Negeri 3 East Angkola for the 2023-2024 academic year, totaling 20 students. The object of this research is the application of the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model to the sub-subject of cubes and blocks. From the results of the first cycle of observations, it is known that at the first meeting the observation results were 65.5 and the observation results at the second meeting were 75 with an average of 71.25%. Meanwhile, the results of the second cycle of observations showed that at the third meeting the observation results were 80 and the observation results at the fourth meeting were 87.5 with an average of 77.5%. The results of the initial test obtained an average score of 55% with 25% or 5 students completing their studies, while 75% or 15 students did not complete their studies. After taking action in cycle I in class IX-2, carrying out the first learning outcomes test, the average score in cycle I was 65.25, 13 students or 65% completed their studies, while 7 students or 35% did not complete their studies. In cycle II in class IX-2, the implementation of the first cycle learning outcomes test obtained an average score of 74.5, 17 students who completed their studies or 85%, while those who did not complete their studies were 3 people or 15%. By implementing the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model, students' mathematics learning outcomes can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Learning Cycle model in mathematics learning for grade XI IPA 2 students at SMA Negeri 1 Sosopan during the first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, involving 28 students (11 males and 17 females). The research employed a pre-experimental design with The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design and used the Multistage Sampling technique. The instruments included a learning achievement test, student activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the average pretest score of 23.75 (very low category) increased to 77.21 (high category) after implementing the Learning Cycle model, with a normalized gain of 0.70. A total of 89.29% of students achieved individual mastery, while student learning activities were categorized as good, and student responses toward learning were positive. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle model is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes in grade XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Sosopan.
