Syafril and Wahyu Fahrizal) The purpose of this research is to know the pattern of the marketing channel for the sangkuriang catfish enlargement business and the marketing functions carried out at each marketing agency in the Pokdakan Sindu Lestari and to analyze the marketing performance of the sangkuriang catfish which includes margins, profits and farmer's share. This research is a quantitative descriptive research conducted using the case study method. The results obtained in this study are that the pokdakan sindu lestari marketing channel consists of 2 marketing channels, namely level zero marketing channel, level one marketing channel Marketing margin from producers to retailers is Rp. 6,000, the profit of all marketing channels is Rp. 4,266.49 kg. in one marketing process. And the marketing channel margin level one produces a farmer's share of 76%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the socio-economic conditions and survival strategies of gillnet fishermen households in maintaining their lives. The research was conducted for 11 months from July to May 2024 in Bontang Kuala Village, North Bontang District, Bontang City.  The method used in sampling fishermen is simple random sampling with a total of 34 respondents. The analysis method uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the socio-economic conditions of the majority of gill net fishermen were productive age 53-59 years, the average education level was elementary school 26 people, fishermen's income ranged from IDR 420,000 - IDR 3,000,000 per month with an average per fisherman IDR 2,031,470. Their status is owner fishermen with fishing fleets in the form of boats with no engine, boats with ketinting engines and boats or boats with dompeng engines. Fishermen's residences are generally semi-permanent houses with good physical conditions and the land ownership status of the house building is Hak Guna Bagunan (HGB). Fishermen's survival strategies are carried out in three ways, namely, active strategies by doing side jobs, optimising the role of family members (wife and children) and increasing working hours at sea. Passive strategies, reducing the cost of food, clothing, education and setting aside money or saving money from fish sales. Network strategies, making loans through horizontal social networks (family) and vertical social networks (collectors), as well as economic or financial institutions, such as cooperatives, banks, People's Business Credit (PBC) through fisheries organisations and utilising poverty programs.

Abstract

The Educational Tourism Fish Pond of Sumber Rejeki Hamlet, Loh Sumber Village, serves as a potential medium for introducing fisheries-related activities, including aquaculture, aquatic resource management, and the sustainable application of fisheries technology to the community. The objective of this study was to examine visitors’ perceptions of the educational tourism fish pond in Sumber Rejeki Hamlet, Loh Sumber Village, Loa Kulu Subdistrict. The research was conducted from November to December 2024 using the accidental sampling method. The respondents consisted of 45 visitors to the tourism site. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis with a Likert scale measurement. The results indicate that visitors’ perceptions of the educational tourism fish pond fall into the “very good” category (87.05), within the score range of 87–103. This evaluation was based on the following indicators: tourism object (13.38, very good), accessibility (7.87, good), facilities (39.64, very good), information and promotion (17.29, very good), and management services (8.87, good).

Abstract

Penguatan kapasitas manajerial kelompok pembudidaya ikan sangat penting karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan usaha perikanan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan di Desa Ponoragan, Kecamatan Loa Kulu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi kelompok meliputi lemahnya perencanaan usaha, pencatatan keuangan, serta administrasi kelompok. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi kebutuhan, pelatihan manajemen usaha perikanan, penyusunan rencana produksi, pelatihan pembukuan sederhana, dan pendampingan penerapan di lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota kelompok dalam merancang rencana usaha, melakukan pencatatan keuangan yang sistematis, dan mengelola produksi secara lebih efisien. Program ini memberikan kontribusi pada penguatan kapasitas organisasi dan peningkatan efektivitas usaha budidaya ikan di Desa Ponoragan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the fisheries production facility assistance program organized by the Government of Kutai Kartanegara Regency through the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Kutai Kartanegara Regency for fish farmers in the Mina Kolam Mandiri Jaya Fish Farmers Group (POKDAKAN). The research was conducted from March 2025 to May 2025 at the POKDAKAN Mina Kolam Mandiri Jaya in Ponoragan Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, with a total of 11 fish farmer respondents. The types of data used in this study were primary and secondary data. Data analysis was carried out using the CIPP evaluation model with the indicators (Context, Input, Process, Product), income analysis, and income difference analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test method. The results showed that the assistance program was implemented effectively, with an average achievement rate of 92.11%. In terms of income, there was a significant difference before and after receiving assistance. The average income before assistance was IDR 7,623,301 per production cycle, while after receiving assistance it increased to IDR 11,797,517 per production cycle. The difference in average income before and after assistance was IDR 4,174,216 (54.76%). This indicates that the difference is statistically significant. The fisheries production facility assistance program implemented by the Government of Kutai Kartanegara Regency is deemed feasible to be continued in the future. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of the production business of layang fish (Decapterus spp) with Dayak onion seasoning by using indicators such as Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Break Even Point (BEP), Payback Period (PP), Return on Investment (ROI), and to describe the marketing strategies implemented by the layang fish processing business at UMKM Aqueena. This research is a case study. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling. The results show that the layang fish processing business with Dayak onion seasoning at UMKM Aqueena is financially feasible and profitable, indicated by a net monthly profit of IDR 20,378,858. The Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR) value is 2.83. The Break Even Point (BEP) is reached at 247 packages per month, with a BEP price of IDR 15,887 per package and BEP sales of IDR 72,609 per month. The BEP condition is below the actual business level. The payback period for the investment is only 1.01 months, and Return on Investment (ROI) reaches 99%. There are five marketing strategies applied by the business owner: product strategies and services (product development, product diversification, product labeling, packaging, and labeling, as well as product guarantees and services); organizational structure and service strategies (division of labor with clear responsibilities); sales increase strategies (advertising through banners and brochures), including quality advertising, factual advertising, institutional advertising, and sales promotions via WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram; pricing strategies (setting actual prices); and physical arrangement and product display strategies (placing products in open display cases).
