Abstract

Physical distancing policy as the response to pandemic covid-19 has forced the educational institutes to provide online learning for the students. The students and lecturer have to adapt to using online platforms to continue the learning activities. An E-learning platform is needed for distance learning. This research aims to analyze the preference of e-learning platforms among Google Classroom, Youtube, Whatsapp, and Zoom for students in a private university in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, using the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach. Several criteria are formulated for determining the e-learning platform based on the students’ common difficulties during online-based learning, namely service of platform, learning comprehension, internet usage, and network strength. The result shows that learning comprehension has the highest weight (0.363), followed by network strength (0.258), internet usage (0.230), and platform service (0.149). Learning comprehension has become the most important criterion that students consider on selecting an e-learning platform. The final result from the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach proposes the best alternative e-learning platform for students based on the previous criteria. Based on the research, Whatsapp is an e-learning platform with the highest weight of 0.359. Therefore, it is determined for recommendation as to the most suitable e-learning platform for students. It has a high local weight based on each criterion considered in selecting an e-learning platform. The result of this study is expected to be input for lecturers and education institutions to evaluate the platforms they use and e-learning processes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact before and after the implementation of Ministerial Regulation of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (Permen-KP) No. 16 of 2022 on the Tilapia Aquaculture Village in Ponoragan Village on household income, employment absorption, and to identify the main challenges faced by fish farmers. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, with a total of 30 tilapia farmers as respondents and two key informants. The data were analyzed using income analysis, average income difference analysis with a T-test, and labor absorption analysis. The study results show that the average income of tilapia farmers before the implementation of the aquaculture village policy was IDR 120,569,272 per month, increasing to IDR 606,954,928 per month after implementation. This indicates a rise in the average income of fish farmers by IDR 486,385,656 following the policy's implementation. The implementation of the aquaculture village policy also had an impact on labor absorption, both from within and outside the family. Before the policy was implemented, the percentage of labor from within the family was 0.01228 percent, increasing to 0.01283 percent after implementation. Meanwhile, the percentage of labor absorption from outside the family increased from 0.01283 percent to 0.01897 percent. This increase reflects the additional workforce employed, both from within and outside the family, in response to increased production, income, and the farmers' commitment to involving the surrounding community. The main challenges faced by tilapia farmers include extreme weather conditions that often cause harvest failures, river water intrusion into ponds, which increases water volume and leads to fish escaping, and the use of pesticides by farmers to control fish pests and predators. These findings illustrate that the aquaculture village policy has great potential to improve farmers' welfare, but it must be accompanied by mitigation efforts to address existing challenges.

Abstract

Working capital financing is a financing facility provided to individuals, business entities and legal entities for working capital needs. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) offers one of the products known as syirkah (partnership) financing. The purpose of this research is to find out the monitoring and evaluation system carried out by BSI on the BSI Smart Agent product. The results of this study indicate that the cooperation agreement between the agent and the BSI is a business realisation contract which initially the agent only runs his business according to the procedures given by the BSI. Then, BSI emphasises to the agent that the facilities and services are carried out according to the procedures set by BSI. The profit-sharing ratio agreed by both parties is that the agent directly benefits from the realisation of his business through revenue sharing with the same portion and the same value. Monitoring and evaluation conducted by BSI aims to ensure operational compliance with sharia principles and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided. The implementation of this system plays an important role in supporting Islamic financial inclusion and has a positive impact on the economic growth of the community.

Abstract

Bontang City, located in East Kalimantan Province, has a larger marine area than land area, offering significant potential in marine fisheries resources. One of the abundant yet undervalued marine commodities is bawis fish (Gerres sp.), which remains economically underutilized. This low economic value presents a challenge, particularly for coastal communities that depend on the fisheries sector for their livelihoods. Increasing the added value of bawis fish through processing into higher-value products is therefore essential. One such initiative is the production of bawis fish chips, developed by the Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) Saputra Snack, led by a local entrepreneur in Bontang. This study aims to assess the economic value added from bawis fish chips using the Hayami value-added analysis method. The findings indicate that the product yields an added value of IDR 27,151 per kilogram, with a value-added ratio of 37%. This implies that for each kilogram of raw bawis fish processed, an additional economic value of IDR 27,151 is generated. Based on the Hayami criteria, this level of value addition is classified as moderate (15%–40%). The results suggest that processing bawis fish into chips has the potential to serve as an effective strategy for enhancing the economic well-being of small-scale fishery enterprises.

Abstract

The processing of fisheries products, characterized by the diversification of processed goods, presents a promising avenue for entrepreneurial endeavors. Product diversification holds the potential to augment the intrinsic value of products and concurrently elevate public consumption of fisheries-related commodities. This research aims to analyze the prospective added value stemming from the pempek businesses in Melayu Sub-District, Tenggarong, Kutai Kertanegara. The acquired data underwent meticulous processing, tabulation, and subsequent analytical examination, characterized by both descriptive and value-added analyses, utilizing the Hayami model. The research showed that the managed pempek businesses are predominantly of small scale, utilizing relatively simple technology. On average, a single production cycle yields 126.64 kg, or monthly output of 633.2 kg. The value-added analysis reveals a figure of 186,734 IDR per kg, with a commendable value-added ratio of 70.95%. This signifies that the conversion of belida fish into pempek not only imparts substantial value but also presents a highly promising avenue for further expansion and development.
