Abstract

The growing influence of digital platforms has transformed marketing practices in higher education, with social media emerging as a key channel in shaping students’ enrollment decisions. This study aims to examine the effect of social media marketing and brand image on college decision-making, with perceived value serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to analyze data from 461 respondents. The results reveal that social media marketing significantly influences college decision both directly (? = 0.668, p 0.001) and indirectly through perceived value (? = 0.059, p = 0.013). Brand image also impacts college decision directly (? = 0.105, p = 0.031) and indirectly via perceived value (? = 0.032, p = 0.039). The model explains 69.1% of the variance in college decision (R² = 0.691). These findings highlight the importance of digital branding in enhancing students’ perceived value and influencing enrollment behavior. The study contributes to the literature on student decision-making and offers strategic insights for universities to optimize their digital engagement and institutional image.

Abstract

Indonesia's cosmetics industry experienced a growth of 21.9%, increasing from 913 companies in 2022 to 1,010 companies by mid-2023. During January to November 2023, exports of cosmetics, fragrances, and essential oils reached USD 770.8 million (KKBPRI, 2024). Skintific has emerged as one of the popular skincare brands in Indonesia, leveraging high-quality products and dynamic social media campaigns, particularly on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This research explores the effects of emotional appeal and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on impulsive buying during TikTok flash sales, with visual appeal acting as a mediating factor. Utilizing a quantitative approach with 385 Skintific users from Indonesia, data were analyzed using SMART PLS version 3.1. The findings reveal that both emotional appeal and FOMO have a direct and significant positive impact on impulsive buying and visual appeal. Visual appeal itself significantly influences impulsive buying. Moreover, emotional appeal and FOMO also indirectly affect impulsive buying behavior through the enhancement of visual appeal.

Abstract

The development of the quality of Human Resources (HR) is a decisive factor in the modernization of the agribusiness sector in the era of digital transformation. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of human resources of the Mukti Sadaya Organic Farmer Economic Institution (KEP) in Tasikmalaya Regency. The main problems faced by target partners include non-functional organizational structures, overlapping conventional division of labor, manual administration, and the use of devices that have not been optimized to support group productivity. The implementation method used is Participatory Capacity Building through the stages of organizational diagnosis, group management workshops, applied digital literacy training, and intensive mentoring. The results of this activity show that there is a real increase in professionalism, institutional governance and technological proficiency for 24 members of farmer groups. The benefits obtained include the realization of a systematic organizational structure, the preparation of internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the implementation of a cloud storage-based digital administration system. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes that the integration between strengthening group internal management and mastery of digital literacy is the main foundation in creating an independent, transparent, and ready farmer organization to face modern economic dynamics.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study analyzes the impact of sales management control strategies (SMCS), salesforce training (ST), and salesforce performance (SP) on the effectiveness of sales organizations (SOEs) in state-owned banks in Bandung, West Java. This study addresses the critical need to understand how digital technologies interact with the unique bureaucratic structures of the state-owned banking sector. Novelty: The novelty lies in the empirical testing of Salesforce Automation (SFA) as a moderation variable that bridges human resource development and strategic control. This research makes a theoretical contribution by examining whether automation improves the well-established managerial systems in traditional banking. Research Methods: Using quantitative methodology, data were collected from 350 sales managers at 3 state-owned banking institutions. Data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test for immediate effects and moderation. Findings/Results: Findings show that SMCS, ST, and SP significantly and positively affect SOE, with ST emerging as the most dominant driver. Regarding moderation, SFA statistically strengthens the relationship between SMCS and ST and SOE. However, the effect of this interaction is modest in practical significance. Notably, SFA does not significantly moderate the relationship between SP and SOE. Conclusion: In the highly regulated banking sector, investing in human resources through systematic training remains more important to the success of an organization than technology adoption alone. SFA serves as a complementary and gradual tool that redefines the boundaries of efficiency without replacing the basic competencies of the salesforce.
