Abstract

This study examines the influence of brand image and brand trust on customer loyalty of AQUA gallon products at AQUA Home Service (AHS) Fiska, Bandung City. The research is motivated by the decline in AQUA gallon sales by 12.76% from January to November 2025, while competing brands experienced significant growth. A quantitative verificative approach was employed using a survey method. The sample consisted of 109 active customers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression supported by classical assumption tests, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The findings reveal that brand image and brand trust have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. Brand trust shows a more dominant influence compared to brand image. These results highlight that customer loyalty in the bottled drinking water distribution sector is strongly influenced by customers’ confidence in product consistency and brand credibility. The study provides managerial implications for strengthening long-term customer loyalty through trust-based marketing strategies.

Abstract

Food security among the productive generation has become a growing public health concern in Indonesia, where rapid urbanization and shifting dietary patterns increasingly favor convenience over nutritional quality. This study investigates the innovation of healthy menus in ready-to-eat (RTE) food catering services as a strategy to address food security for individuals aged 18–45 years. Using a mixed-methods approach combining nutritional analysis, consumer surveys, and menu development trials, this research evaluates the nutritional adequacy, affordability, palatability, and sustainability of newly developed RTE catering menus. A total of 150 participants from urban areas in West Java participated in the consumer acceptability study. Results indicate that innovated healthy menus achieved a 78.4% acceptability rate, met 80–95% of recommended daily nutritional requirements, and were priced competitively within a budget accessible to productive-age consumers. The study concludes that strategic menu innovation in RTE catering systems can serve as a viable intervention for improving food security and dietary quality among Indonesia’s productive generation. Policy recommendations for catering businesses, health authorities, and community nutrition programs are discussed.

Abstract

Ready-to-eat (RTE) food based on local protein can broaden practical food choices and support food security through local resources. This study examined consumer acceptance of a retort-processed RTE prototype made from snakehead fish (Channa striata) and tempeh. The study used an experimental approach with three formulations based on the ratio of snakehead fish to tempeh, namely F1 (80:20), F2 (60:40), and F3 (40:60). Seventy-five semi-trained panelists evaluated color, aroma, texture, taste, and overall acceptance using a five-point hedonic scale. Hedonic data were analyzed using the Friedman test, while Kendall's W was used to describe the effect size. The F2 formulation achieved the highest mean scores for all attributes, including color (3.82), aroma (3.65), texture (3.71), taste (3.94), and overall acceptance (3.78). The Friedman test indicated differences among formulations in aroma, texture, taste, and overall acceptance, while color showed no difference. These findings suggest that a 60:40 ratio of snakehead fish and tempeh provides the most acceptable sensory profile. The practical contribution of this study is the identification of a local protein-based RTE formulation that can be further developed for food diversification. However, F0 value, come-up time, cooling time, packaging size, microbiological safety, shelf life, and production cost still require further assessment before commercial application.

Abstract

This research aims to empirically examine the factors influencing Net Interest Margin (NIM) in foreign banking companies operating in Indonesia. The study is grounded in the banking intermediation theory, which explains how banks manage financial resources to optimize profitability, and the risk-return tradeoff theory, which highlights the balance between risk factors and financial performance. Factors affecting NIM include the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), efficiency ratio calculated by the ratio of operational expenses to operational income (BOPO), credit risk proxied by the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, and Market Share (MS). The research period covers the year 2019.A purposive sampling method was used, selecting 25 foreign banking companies that met specific criteria. Hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with EViews 10. Based on the results of panel data analysis, the t-test shows that the Market Share (MS) variable has a positive but insignificant effect on NIM. The Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) variables have negative and statistically insignificant effects on NIM, whereas the Efficiency Ratio (BOPO) has a positive and statistically significant effect on NIM. The F-test results indicate that LDR, BOPO, NPL, and MS simultaneously affect NIM, with a significance value of 0.014544 (p < 0.05). The adjusted R² test results show that the predictive ability of these four independent variables is 33.68%, while the remaining 66.32% is influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Product recalls threaten customer trust, satisfaction, loyalty, and brand equity, creating a need to understand how firms can recover relationships after product failures. This study aims to map the literature on product recall and customer relationship recovery, identify research gaps, and develop an integrative conceptual framework. Drawing on crisis management, service recovery, justice, trust repair, organizational capability, and digital communication perspectives, the study conducts a systematic literature review of 40 Scopus-indexed Q1–Q2 articles published between 2016 and 2026. Article selection follows PRISMA 2020, while synthesis applies the theory–context–characteristics–methodology framework. The findings show that crisis management, remedy selection, consumer relational responses, and quantitative archival methods dominate research. In contrast, integrative frameworks, operational capabilities, competitor responses, digital analytics, and mixed methods remain limited. The study proposes a sequential framework linking risk detection, recall decisions, communication, remedies, consumer participation, and relationship recovery, thereby extending theoretical integration and managerial guidance for post-recall recovery.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of price perception, place comfort, and entrepreneurial orientation on customer satisfaction at Arunika Kopitiam in the Cicalengka railway-crossing area. The study used a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods. Data were collected through questionnaires from 102 customers who had visited and made purchases at Arunika Kopitiam. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, correlation, and coefficient of determination. The results show that price perception has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.346, t = 2.652, and significance of 0.009. Place comfort has a positive and significant effect, with a coefficient of 0.358, t = 6.073, and significance of 0.000, and is the most dominant variable with a standardized beta of 0.527. Entrepreneurial orientation also has a positive and significant effect, with a coefficient of 0.376, t = 3.911, and significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect customer satisfaction, indicated by F = 196.899 and significance of 0.000. The coefficient of determination of 0.858 indicates that 85.8% of the variation in customer satisfaction is explained by the three variables. The findings imply that Arunika Kopitiam should prioritize improvements in place comfort, especially noise management, while maintaining fair and competitive pricing and strengthening product innovation.
