Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the level of mathematical connection ability of students in solving mathematical investigation questions in grade VII students at SMPN 2 Labuapi in the academic year 2020/2021. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 10 students of VII A class at SMPN 2 Labuapi. The data was collected in the form of test results of students' mathematical connection skills in solving mathematical investigation questions at triangles and quadrangle matter and the results of interviews. The test results were analyzed according to the indicators of students' mathematical connection ability, which is being able to connect the mathematical concepts that have been studied and those being studied and to connect the mathematical concepts to everyday life. Based on the results of data analysis, that the mathematical connection ability of students in solving mathematical investigation questions was still in the sufficient category. Overall there were 3 students (30%) in very poor category, 2 students (20%) in very good category, 2 students (20%) in good category, 2 students (20%) in good enough category, and 1 student (10%) in poor category.

Abstract

In this digital era, artificial intelligence has become very popular due to its very wide scope of application. Various models and methods in artificial intelligence are developed with their respective purposes. However, each model and method certainly requires a reliable optimizer in the training process. Many optimizers have been developed and are increasingly reliable lately. In this article, we classify the synopsis texts of several movies into nine different genre classes, leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) with Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) and Embedding to build models. Models are trained using several optimizers, including stochastic gradient descent (SGD), AdaGrad, AdaDelta, RMSProp, Adam, AdaMax, Nadam, and AdamW. Meanwhile, various metrics are used to evaluate the model, such as accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score. The results show that the model structure with embedding, lstm, double dense layer, and dropout 0.5 returns satisfactory accuracy. Optimizers based on Adaptive moments provide better results when compared to classical methods, such as stochastic gradient descent. AdamW outperforms other optimizers as indicated by its accuracy on validation data of 89.48%. Slightly behind it are several other optimizers such as Adam, RMSProp, and Nadam. Moreover, the genres that have the highest metric values are the drama and thriller genres, based on the recall, precision and F1-score values. Meanwhile, the horror, adventure and romance genres have low recall, precision and F1-score values. Moreover, by applying Random Over Sampling (ROS) to balance the genre dataset, the model’s testing accuracy improved to 98.1%, enhancing performance across all genres, including underrepresented ones. Additional testing showed the model’s ability to generalize well to unseen data, confirming its robustness and adaptability.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is a follow-up research of Utama (2022) on asymptotic distribution of an estimator for variance function of a compound periodic Poisson with the power function trend. The objectives of this research are (i) to formulate a confidence interval for the variance function of a compound periodic Poisson process with a power function trend and (ii) to prove the convergence to 1-α probability of the parameter included in the confidence interval. This research process begins with a review of the existing formulation of the variance function estimator and its asymptotic distribution. Next, the confidence interval for the variance function of the compound periodic Poisson process with a power function trend is formulated and the convergence to 1-α is determined. After obtaining the confidence interval, the research continued by conducting computer simulations to confirmed the results obtained analytically. The results obtained show that the confidence interval for the variance function of a compound periodic Poisson process with a power function trend converges to 1-α both analytically and numerically for different finite time intervals.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that has an impact on the impaired physical and cognitive growth of children. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is one of the provinces that makes stunting a major health problem. Based on the 2022 SSGI report, the prevalence of stunting in NTB is very high because it exceeds the national target figure, despite a downward trend in recent years. Factors such as lack of nutritional knowledge, basic sanitation, improper parenting habits, and low maternal education are also the main causes. One of the factors that is often associated is the low level of education of mothers. Low maternal education has an impact on the quality of parenting and the fulfillment of children's nutritional needs. This emphasized the urgency of analyzing the influence of maternal education level on stunting incidence in West Lombok Regency. The method used to determine the influence of maternal education level on stunting incidence uses the logistic regression analysis method. Logistic regression analysis is a data analysis method that is able to determine the influence of independent variables (maternal education) on dependent variables (stunting events) that are categorical. The results of the study show that there is an influence on the level of education of mothers on the incidence of stunting. This is based on a p-value of 0.001 and an OR of 0.214.

Abstract

PHBS stands for Clean and Healthy Living Behavior outreach activity for managers and vendors at Loang Baloq Tourism Park in Mataram City aims to increase public awareness and knowledge in maintaining the cleanliness of the tourist environment. Through this activity, it is hoped that a clean, healthy, and comfortable tourist environment will be created for visitors and support the government's efforts to realize a sustainable tourism destination. The implementation method includes outreach, demonstrations, and direct assistance in the field. Community service partners are vendors and managers of Loang Baloq Tourism Park, totaling 20 participants. The evaluation was carried out in the form of a pre-test and post-test on the PHBS concept, the importance of a clean tourist environment, waste management, and hygiene practices in selling food and beverages. The results of the activity showed an 85% increase in participants' understanding of the importance of PHBS, based on the results of the pretest (average 57.75%) and posttest (85.25%), as well as a commitment to implementing clean and healthy behaviors in daily activities. The implementation of PHBS not only impacts individual health but also improves environmental quality and tourist attractions. Follow-up, including regular mentoring and policy support from local governments, is necessary to ensure sustainable PHBS implementation.
