Abstract

Currently, many scrap collectors are still pressing used beverage cans manually, which hinders their productivity. This research aims to produce an effective tool in the form of a Press Machine with a crankshaft system, where this machine is made with the aim of optimizing waste treatment, especially beverage can waste. With this machine, the pressing of used beverage cans with a can size of 6.2 cm in diameter, 11.5 cm in height with a volume of 320 ml can be compacted into a smaller (flat) shape with a final height of 2 cm so that it can be said that the press machine has been increasing the efficiency of transport volume and storage area to wait for the next process.

Abstract

Desa Padarangin merupakan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Wonogiri yang memiliki potensi hasil bumi berupa porang. Pengolahan hasil panen yang dihasilkan masih belum optimal karena adanya keterbatasan Sumber Daya Manusia dan belum adanya pendampingan terhadap pengolahan hasil pasca panen. Masalah lain yang dihadapi para petani porang ini adalah penggunaan peralatan dan metode pengolahan yang masih tradisional. Hal ini menyebabkan butuh waktu yang relatif lama serta tenaga yang lebih ekstra untuk pengolahan dari proses panen hingga penjualannya. Tim dosen IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta dalam Program Matching Fund 2021 memutuskan untuk melakukan perbaikan terhadap proses produksi di Kelompok Tani Yin Porang ini. Salah satu yang diperbaiki adalah proses perajangan porang dengan membuat mesin perajang atau pengiris porang. Penggunaan mesin pengiris porang dapat membantu memperbaiki dalam pengolahan proses panen para petani porang Desa Padarangin. Mesin pengiris dapat menghasilkan chips porang dengan ketebalan seragam (0,5 sampai 2cm), serta mempercepat waktu produksi karena memiliki kapasitas 30 kg/jam.

Abstract

In the industrial world, carbon steel has been widely used. Corrosion of carbon steel cannot be avoided, so many studies have been carried out to overcome Corrosion. One of the efforts to overcome Corrosion is by coating. Low-carbon steel coating was done by combining TiO2 and polyaniline (PAni), which was carried out by electrodeposition. A carbon steel specimen that has been coated is corroded by immersing it in an acid and salt medium. After Corrosion, the specimen is tested for hardness. The specimen without inhibitor has a hardness value of 131 kg/mm2, while the specimen with the highest hardness value is a specimen coated with PAni 10-1 M and TiO2 10-4 M at 336 kg/mm2. Based on visual observation, the Corrosion that occurs is uniform.

Abstract

Tube bending is a general term for the process of forming metals used to form pipes or tubes permanently. By utilizing plastic deformation, straight objects are bent to form arches. Metal pipes in the form of arches can be used as a connection to machine construction, circular ladders, bicycle frames, motor frames, furniture, musical instruments. To improve time and energy efficiency in the bending process, a roll bending machine is designed. This machine is also expected to meet the needs of buckling pipes so that it can be used as a business field by the community. This machine can bend pipes 3/4 inch to 1 inch with a thickness of 1 mm.

Abstract

Jurnal ini mengulas tentang pemilihan model pembelajaran matematika oleh guru di SMAS Cerdas Murni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap model pembelajaran yang paling sering digunakan, alasan pemilihan model pembelajaran tersebut, serta kendala yang dihadapi guru saat menerapkannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan instrumen utamanya adalah wawancara serta kajian literatur. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara dari guru bidang studi matematika. Adapun hasilnya adalah model pembelajaran yang digunakan selalu berubah-ubah sesuai dengan kondisi dan kemampuan siswa, metode pembelajaran yang paling sering digunakan salah satunya adalah model Problem Based Learning. Keseluruhan temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Recycling is one way to manage plastic waste. If recycled, plastic waste in the form of bottles, glasses or other plastic waste has a fairly high selling value. The waste bank in Salakan Bangunharjo Bantul has been quite engaged in the plastic waste processing business. One of the activities of this waste bank is to collect and sort plastic waste from the community, but it has not been maximized because of space constraints and also does not have a plastic waste shredder. Therefore, the Abdimas Team from the Department of Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, AKPRIND University Indonesia, designed and made a plastic waste shredding machine. The method carried out is to conduct plastic waste management training through waste banks, the use and maintenance of plastic waste shredding machines and the delivery of plastic waste shredding machines. The purpose of this service activity is so that the waste bank in Salakan can carry out the plastic waste recycling process optimally, so that it can increase the economic value of the plastic waste. The capacity of this plastic waste shredder is 20 Kg/hour using a gasoline motor as a propulsion, and has specifications of 66 cm in length, 38.5 cm in width and 80 cm in height. Based on the results of the survey using questionnaires, this service activity can be said to be successful because community members, especially members and administrators of waste banks in Salakan, have become more aware of the benefits of plastic waste sorting, the operation and maintenance of plastic waste shredders, and positively assess and agree with this community service activity.

Abstract

Welding is joining two or more metal parts by heating the metal until it melts and then adding material (electrode) to fuse like a complete object. The welding process on steel causes the metal around the weld area to experience changes in the thermal cycle, so before welding, providing preheating treatment with temperatures of 100°C, 150°C, and 200°C, then on the surface of the metal and to increase its hardness, a further process is carried out namely the hard facing process.   Hardfacing is a process where a harder material is applied to a parent material through welding. The hard-facing method is carried out by melting the HV-600 electrode wire on a plate until it obtains the desired thickness, resulting in a harder microstructural change on the metal surface. This research aims to determine the effect of preheating temperatures of 100°C, 150°C, and 200°C on the physical and mechanical properties of AISI 1040 steel material which is heat faced with HV – 600 electrodes in the Shield Metal Arch Welding process. The tests carried out in the research for physical properties were microstructure, and for mechanical properties were hardness and wear. The results of microstructure research at preheating temperatures of 100°C, 150°C, and 200°C, the magnitudes are 79.52%, 72.01%, and 68.56% respectively and the hardness values are 79.6 HRC, and 78 HRC respectively. and 75 HRC while the wear values are 0.0000587 m3/kg.m, 0.0000873 m3/kg.m and 0.0000917 m3/kg.m. From the results of this research, the optimum hardness and wear values are hard-facing with the preheating temperature of 100°C.

Abstract

The agricultural and fisheries sectors in Wukirsari Village remain primary economic drivers. However, traditional fisheries management leads to inconsistent catfish and tilapia harvests and high feed costs, hindering Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto from maximizing profits. The open-air location of the aquaculture development offers significant potential for utilizing sunlight to generate electricity. This study implements a Solar Power Plant (SPP) as a power source for aerators installed in biofloc ponds. The installation, operation procedures, maintenance, and repair of the SPP were socialized to Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto members. The installed SPP successfully powered a 100W, 220V aerator, supplying oxygen to three biofloc ponds. Increased oxygen supply is expected to support fish growth. By the end of the program, Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto members were proficient in operating and utilizing the SPP, leading to improved fish harvests and quality. Additionally, surplus power from the SPP was used for lighting the pond area.

Abstract

Wisata alam memiliki potensi besar sebagai destinasi unggulan, namun masih menghadapi kendala tingginya biaya listrik untuk penerangan. Menyikapi hal tersebut, perlu diperkenalkan Teknologi Tepat Guna berupa sistem penerangan berbasis tenaga surya yang hemat energi dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pemanfaatan sistem penerangan berbasis tenaga surya untuk meminimalkan biaya listrik di Wisata Wana Jonggol, menarik wisatawan, hingga mendukung kemandirian energi. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi program. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 15 unit lampu hias dan 1 unit lampu jalan tenaga surya berhasil dipasang dan berfungsi optimal, dilengkapi baterai penyimpan serta sensor otomatis. Seluruh peserta pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap prinsip kerja panel surya dan sebagian besar menyatakan sangat puas terhadap program. Pokdarwis juga telah mampu secara mandiri mengoperasikan dan merawat sistem penerangan yang diberikan. Dampak nyata dari program ini adalah penurunan biaya operasional, peningkatan kenyamanan dan keamanan pengunjung, serta penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan Pokdarwis dalam mengelola energi terbarukan. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini tidak hanya mendukung pengembangan wisata Wana Jonggol, tetapi juga menjadi langkah nyata menuju kemandirian energi dan penerapan teknologi hijau di kawasan pedesaan.
