Abstract

Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) plant is an upstream company from the tobacco industries. The GLT main processing is separate the lamina from the stem and also dry out the tobacco into safe storage moisture content. One of the problems in the GLT factory is the high frequency of refeed / rework / reprocess on defective products. High refeed frequency increases production costs and eliminates customer trust. The aim of this study is to reduce refeed frequency. Six sigma is a methodology that can be used widely in manufacturing companies and services for continuous quality improvement. The Six sigma DMAI framework is used to find out the problems and solutions. The root cause of refeed are determined using fish bone diagrams and 5 Whys tool. The ranks for improvement are determined from the RPN using FMEA Analysis. The suggested program for improvement are investing tool, repairing tool and training worker. The results of identification indicate that defects due to inappropriateness moisture content are the highest cause of refeed. The results of the improvement indicate an increaseing sigma level from 3.72 to 3,97. The DPMO also declined from 13,220 to 6,823. Increasing sigma levelprovides benefit of Rp. 20.530.760.

Abstract

Mengelola risiko dalam industri kelistrikan adalah hal yang penting karena dapat mempengaruhi kinerja dan bisnis perusahaan. Upaya merencanakan mitigasi risiko untuk setiap risk event yang ada menjadihal yang perlu dilakukan perusahaan kelistrikan. Untuk mengidentifikasi risk event atas proses bisnis perusahaan, dilakukan melalui survei kepada pihak terkait. Kemudian dilakukan pembobotan atas proses bisnis yang terpilih dengan menggunakan metode AHP dengan bantuan aplikasi perangkat lunak Expert Choice. Bobot terbesar atas proses bisnis tersebut (1) pengelolaan settlement, (2) pengelolaan SDM, (3) pengelolaan pemasaran. Setelah diperoleh pembobotan dan nilai S, O dan D masing-masing risk event, maka dilakukan perhitungan Risk Priority Number (RPN) dan memprioritas risk event dengan menggunakan metode Pareto. Risk event yang paling berisiko antara lain (1) pelaksanaan pekerjaan emergency tanpa kontrak dan (2) Pemenuhan SDM tidak sesuai dengan kontrak. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis sebab akibat dengan metode Fishbone Diagram. Dari analisis sebab akibat tersebut di peroleh bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan kemungkinan risk event terjadi. Setelah mengetahui penyebab dari risk event tersebut maka ditentukan mitigasinya.

Abstract

The paper discusses the application of Analytic Network Process (ANP) to support the weighted of design performance measurement system with Balanced Scorecard method. During the time, the weighted uses method that disregarding interdependence between objectives strategy and Key Performance Indicator (KPI's). The method which often used in this weighted is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). In fact this condition does not express the concept of strategy map of Balanced Scorecard. Therefore is needed apply the other weighted method which attention to the interdependence between Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Application of the weighted with ANP method is conducted at one of the power company. This company represents result of restructuring of PT. PLN (Persero). The result of design performance measurement system of PT. X are objective strategy, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and strategy map, will be weighted by method of ANP. Further more Modeling of ANP based on strategy map. The result of application indicates that related of model of strategy map in Balanced Scorecard at PT. X is Feedback Network (hiernet) with phenomenon of inner and dependence of outer dependence. The perspective on Balanced Scorecard is identically with cluster on ANP, while objective strategy and KPI are identically with sub-element and element. Result of weighted with ANP method shows the existence of culmination of weighted on financial perspective of Strategy Map at PT. X. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Makalah ini membahas aplikasi Analytic Network Process (ANP) untuk mendukung pembobotan pada perancangan sistem pengukuran kinerja dengan metode Balanced Scorecard. Selama ini, pembobotan yang ada menggunakan metode yang mengabaikan saling keterkaitan antar strategi objektif dengan Key Performance Indicator (KPI-KPI) -nya. Metode yang sering digunakan didalam pembobotan ini adalah Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Kondisi ini sebenarnya tidak mencerminkan konsep Strategy Map dari Balanced Scorecard oleh karena itu perlu diaplikasikan metode pembobotan lain yang memperhatikan saling ketergantungan antara ukuran kinerja yang satu dengan yang lain. Aplikasi pembobotan dengan metode ANP dilakukan pada PT. X salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak didalam penyediaan listrik. Perusahaan ini merupakan hasil restrukturisasi dari PT. PLN (Pembangkit Listrik Negara). Dari hasil perancangan sistem pengukuran kinerja PT. X berupa strategi objektif, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dan Strategy Map-nya, akan dilakukan pembobotan dengan metode ANP. Pemodelan pada konteks ANP didasarkan atas Strategy Map-nya. Hasil aplikasi menunjukkan bahwa jenis keterkaitan model Strategy Map pada Balanced Scorecard di PT. X adalah Feedback Network (hiernet) dengan fenomena inner dependence dan outer dependence. Perspektif pada Balanced Scorecard identik dengan cluster pada ANP, sedangkan strategi objektif dan KPI identik dengan elemen dan sub elemen. Hasil pembobotan dengan metode ANP menunjukkan adanya kulminasi nilai bobot pada perspektif finansial dari Strategy Map di PT. X. Abstract

This article described a result of research design of performance measurement system in hotel business with Performance Prism Model. As long as, performance measurement system at hotel X not yet representatived organization performance according to comprehensif and integrated. Because of needed redesign performance measurement system with new model. From the objective condition of hotel X, Performance Prism model more representative than others. The result of design described that stakeholder in hotel X such as: customer, employee, supplier, owner and investor, and regulator and community. From the performance measurement system design are obtained 36 types Key Performance Indicator (KPI) such as: 6 KPI of customer, 9 KPI of staff manajerial, 9 KPI of staff operational, 4 KPI of supplier, 3 KPI of investor, and 5 KPI of regulator & community. Result of implementation performance measurement system with scoring system indicates that the amount of scor current performance indicator is 50,75%. Result of measurement can be based management act evaluation and choice planning improvement organization and all Stakeholder requirements must be request. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Artikel ini menguraikan hasil penelitian perancangan sistem pengukuran kinerja pada sebuah perusahaan dalam bisnis hotel dengan model Performance Prism. Selama ini, sistem pengukuran kinerja di Hotel X belum merepresentasikan kinerja organisasi secara komprehensif dan integratif. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan perancangan kembali sistem pengukuran kinerjanya. Dari kondisi objektif hotel X, model yang tepat digunakan adalah model Performance Prism dibanding model lain. Hasil rancangan menunjukkan bahwa stakeholder hotel X meliputi: konsumen, tenaga kerja, supplier, pemilik/investor, serta pemerintah dan masyarakat sekitar lingkungan hotel. Sistem pengukuran kinerja memuat 36 KPI yang meliputi 6 KPI konsumen, 9 KPI staff manajerial, 9 KPI staff operasional, 4 KPI supplier, 3 KPI pemilik/investor, serta 5 KPI pemerintah dan masyarakat di sekitar lingkungan hotel. Dari hasil implementasi sistem pengukuran kinerja dengan proses scoring system menggunakan metode OMAX menunjukkan nilai current performance indicator yang telah dicapai oleh hotel X adalah sebesar 50,75%. Hasil pengukuran menjadi landasan pihak manajemen mengevaluasi dan menentukan rencana kerja perbaikan sehingga harapan dari semua stakeholder dapat terpenuhi Kata kunci: Pengukuran Kinerja, Performance Prism, Hotel.

Abstract

This paper describes the application of Value Stream Mapping to identify the waste in cement-package industry on PT IHSG. The Value Stream Mapping is used to map the activity towards the company's supply chain with the result that the non-value adding activity could be identified. The result will be an important fundament for identifying the defect and time. The effort for identifying the company's improvement meet the problem priority and it has a significant impact so that the time and cost consuming could be avoided. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Paper ini menggambarkan bagaimana aplikasi pemetaan aliran nilai dapat mengidentifikasi waste pada industri kemasan semen. Pemetaan aliran nilai digunakan untuk memetakan aktivitas pada rantai pasok perusahaan sehingga aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah dapat diketahui. Hasil pemetaan akan menjadi landasan penting didalam mengetahui cacat dan waktu tunggu. Upaya untuk mengidentifikasi perbaikan perusahaan sesuai dengan masalah prioritas yang ada dan memiliki dampak yang signifikan sehingga tidak terjadi pemborosan biaya dan waktu program perbaikan. Abstract

This paper describes the application of the Six Sigma methods is used in order to improve quality in manufacturing company that produce stationary product. DMAIC approach is utilized to analyze and improve 'Pocket Clear File' product since this product has more variability and defects. Quality improvement also monitor the process that influenced pocket defect in Bag Making, Kami-ire, Karidome, and Pocket after Karidome Inspections section. Determining of Six Sigma project is based in process and defect type in each section. FMEA also gave the recommendation for quality improvement we need to evaluate the final result of the improvement since some of them were not working properly. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Paper ini menggambarkan bagaimana aplikasi metode Six Sigma digunakan untuk melakukan perbaikan kualitas pada perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi produk stationary. Pendekatan DMAIC dipakai untuk menganalisa dan melakukan perbaikan produk 'Pocket Clear File' karena tingginya variabilitas dan cacat dibanding produk lain. Perbaikan kualitas juga memperhatikan proses yang mempengaruhi terjadinya cacat pocket pada section Bag Making, Kami-ire, Karidome, dan Pocket after Karidome Inspection. Penentuan proyek Six Sigma didasarkan atas proses dan jenis cacat pada setiap section. Pendekatan FMEA mampu memberi rekomendasi perbaikan kualitas. Evaluasi dari hasil perbaikan penting untuk dilakukan karena beberapa implementasi perbaikan kualitas tidak berjalan sesuai dengan rencana. kata kunci: six sigma, DMAIC, perusahaan stationary.

Abstract

This paper explores the benefit and barriers of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology adoption in Indonesian hospitals context. The investigation methods of this research used interview and semi-structured questionnaire on RFID consultants, RFID researchers, and big hospital managers in Java Island. The benefits and barriers of RFID technology adoption are identified from literature review. The barriers of RFID technology adoption are divided into two aspects, i.e., as business and technology aspects. The results of this study suggest that the benefits of RFID technology adoption are dominated of intangible benefit. Most of the respondents believed that the main barriers of RFID technology adoption are (1) the complexity of RFID technology (2) the lack of complete and valid information, and (3) there is no sufficient budget available. The detail of the outcomes and the implications of this reasarch are also discussed. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Makalah ini berupaya mengeksplorasi manfaat dan hambatan dari pengadopsian teknologi RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) dalam konteks rumah sakit di Indonesia. Metode investigasi dari penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara dan kuesioner semi-struktur untuk konsultan, peneliti teknologi RFID dan manajer rumah sakit berkatagori besar di Pulau Jawa. Manfaat-manfaat dan hambatan-hambatan dari pengadopsian teknologi RFID telah diidentifikasi dari studi literatur. Hambatan dari pengadopsian teknologi RFID dibagi menjadi dua (2) aspek yaitu hambatan dari aspek bisnis dan teknologi. Temuan dari studi ini meyakini bahwa manfaat dari pengadopsian teknologi RFID didominasi oleh manfaat yang bersifat intangible. Sebagian besar responden meyakini bahwa hambatan utama dari pengadopsian teknologi RFID adalah: (1) kompleksnya teknologi RFID, (2) ketiadaan informasi yang lengkap dan valid, (3) tidak tersedianya anggaran yang cukup. Detail dari hasil studi dan implikasinya akan didiskusikan selanjutnya. Kata kunci: Pengadopsian teknologi RFID, Rumah sakit, Indonesia, Eksploratori.

Abstract

The main task of the Satran Koarmada II is to carry out the development of the strength and combat capabilities of its organic elements in the field of mine warfare in order to improve the combat capabilities of the Second Fleet Command (Koarmada II). With the condition of the Satran Koarmada II elements which are more than 30 years old and the mining technology is inadequate, it is necessary to have a strategy to increase the capacity of human resources in order to support the task of the Navy in dealing with GMTT 2030. The formulation of the problem (problem statement) of this research is how to formulate a strategy increasing the capacity of the Satran Koarmada II human resources in supporting the tasks of the Navy. The output of the SWOT and Borda analysis process in determining the strategy for improving the HR capacity of the Satran Koarmada II is a plan map or roadmap which is implemented in a strategic plan which is divided into five-year programs. The output of the SWOT and Borda analysis process in determining the strategy for improving the HR capacity of the Satran Koarmada II is a plan map or roadmap which is implemented in a strategic plan which is divided into five-year programs. The results showed that the chosen strategy was the SO Strategy which consisted of nine sub-strategies. Abstract

The development of science and technology as well as the strategic environment affects the demands for increasing the quality of the Indonesian Navy's human resources, the development of the Puskopaska to make soldiers with the knowledge and technology of weapons science and technology, which is very important, is carried out continuously. This is an effort to carry out the Puskopaska's vision, mission and goals as well as in order to increase the security and defense of the sea and coastal estuaries, therefore a Puskopaska development strategy is needed. The purpose of this research is to obtain factors, criteria, strategy formulation, prioritization and development strategy road map. The research method used is the analytical technique using the IFAS-EFAS matrix, SWOT matrix, QSPM matrix, and BORDA. The results of the study indicate that Puskopaska is in a defensive and guarding position so that the best strategy is to hold regular training programs and add certified trainers, as well as add weapons technology. With the Strength-Opportunity (SO1) strategy, (SO2), (SO3) followed by Strategy (ST1),(ST2),(WO),(WT)sorted by QSPM matrix to get priority strategy. The results of the QSPM matrix rank 7 (Seven) strategies, then grouped the rankings using the BORDA method, from the highest to the lowest scores as a step in starting the stages in the work plan for the next 5 (Five) years. Abstract

Globalization effect and technology development which is accompanied by economic activity that involving the use of natural resources has created environmental issue in the oil and gas company. The issue of the environment is currently the main focus in improving concern for the environment and the improvement of the environmental performance of their company. PT X is a one of government company who has focus in midstream sector and downstream of gas industry in Indonesia has a role in gas trading, transportation, process and distribution. PT. X managing the gas transmission infrastructure in West and East Java, South and North Sumatra, Aceh and East Kalimantan. PT. X has mission to increase environmental performance through environmental friendly production process and reliable brand image. To accomplish their mission, these companies use ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System and environmental company rating program (PROPER) as tools for environment performance evaluation but for measurement of the environmental performance, but PT X does not have the key of environment performance indicators (KEPI). Then, the result of KEPI identification used to design of the environmental performance system, which using methods for measurement such as Integrated Environment Performance Measurement System (IEPMS), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Objective matrix (OMAX). Based on this research, there are 70 KEPI consisting of 51 KEPI quantitative and 19 KEPI qualitative. Total value of environment performance in PT. X is 5.86, which is categorized into yellow color which means the company needs intensive controlling and evaluating to increase the company environment performance.
