Abstract

As people freely express their opinions toward a product on Twitter streams without being bound by time, visualizing time pattern of customers emotional behavior can play a crucial role in decision-making. We analyze how emotions are fluctuated in pattern and demonstrate how we can explore it into useful visualizations with an appropriate framework. We manually customized the current framework in order to improve a state-of-the-art of crawling and visualizing Twitter data. The data, post or update on status on the Twitter website about iPhone, was collected from U.S.A, Japan, Indonesia, and Taiwan by using geographical bounding-box and visualized it into two-dimensional heat map, interactive stream graph, and context focus via brushing visualization. The results show that our proposed system can explore uniqueness of temporal pattern of customers emotional behavior.

Abstract

Masyarakat yang hidup di daerah zona rawan banjir memiliki kesiapsiagaan tersendiri yang berbeda-beda tiap wilayah. Biasanya hal itu dipengaruhi oleh kesadaran masyarakat terhadap risiko dan pengalaman akan bencana banjir (Sutton dan Tierney,2006). Mengingat pada tahun 2007, Bojonegoro pernah dilanda bencana banjir besar yang setidaknya menenggelamkan 80% wilayah Kabupaten Bojonegoro (AntaraNews, 2007). Sehingga sasaran yang ingin dituju adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi berbagai fase bencana banjir dan analisis keruangan berbasis GIS. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis keruangan berbasis GIS. Studi ini difokuskan pada kesiapsiagaan yang ada di enam kecamatan terdampak banjir di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Indikator-indikator yang akan digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kesiapsiagaan adalah yang umumnya digunakan di beberapa kajian terdahulu yaitu (1) pengetahuan dan sikap, (2) rencana tanggap darurat, (3) sistem peringatan dini, (4) mobilisasi sumber daya, dan (5) modal sosial (Sutton dan Tierney,2006). Dari hasil Pemetaan Tingkat Kesiapsiagaan Masyarakat terhadap berbagai fase bencana Banjir di Kabupaten Bojonegoro maka dapat diketahui bahwa rata-rata Tingkat kesiapsiagaan berada pada level sedang-tinggi, hal ini dibuktikan oleh perolehan analisis kuantitatif dari hasil wawancara yakni rata-rata berada pada angka 3-4. Sehingga penelitian ini penting dilakukan guna mengetahui tingkat kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap berbagai fase bencana banjir di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Abstract

The low level of student readiness in implementing e-learning can achieve not optimal benefits or even generate losses. In fact, its failures are able to impact on swelling of the institutional funds. Therefore, it is so important to measure the level of student readiness for avoiding the impact of e-learning implementation failures. In this study, we employed an ensemble model for measuring e-learning readiness level by using the model of Akaslan & Law and Aydin & Tasci. The data were obtained from questionnaires based on the factor of technology, people, content, institutions, acceptance for e-learning, and training for e-learning. With a questionnaire consisting of questions and five Likert scales, the survey was conducted in several departments who have implemented e-learning. We assessed the results by Akaslan & Law to measure the level of student readiness and Aydin & Law for determining its readiness By assessing the level of difficulty of e-learning implementation, we show a different way of assessment that the model of Akaslan & Law can also be used for the same variables related to Aydin & Tasci model in the measurement. We work in hand together between the model of Akaslan & Law and Aydin & Tasci for the sake of knowing the level of e-learning implementation readiness in such a different way. We observed e-learning of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) or so-called ShareITS and found that ITS students are ready to implement e-learning.

Abstract

With rapid development of science and technology and the accelerated pace of urbanization, smart city has been also widely spread across our country. By Internet of Things, we put forward a kind innovative way of real-time air pollution monitoring into public city transportation vehicle. We take information about the surrounding environment through sensors and upload it directly to the internet. This paper fosters the advantages of the cloud-based computing frameworks (such as Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio) and presents a practical work-flow well-suited for the standard machine learning tasks.

Abstract

Air dianggap menjadi kebutuhan dasar bagi manusia, namun saat ini krisis air bersih masih menjadi permasalahan di Pedesaan salah satunya desa Kedanyang, kabupaten Gresik. Adanya air sumur asin dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif bagi warga. Maka dari itu, dirancang suatu alat prototype dari implementasi teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) dengan protokol MQTT untuk proses distilasi. Proses ini dilakukan untuk menghilangkan kadar garam berlebih pada air dengan mengambil uap-uap air dari proses destilasi. Adanya protokol MQTT mendukung system hybrid untuk memaksimalkan sistem agar dapat bekerja pada siang dan malam hari menggunakan energi baterai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat prototype ini dapat membantu proses distilasi secara maksimal baik siang maupun malam hari.

Abstract

The research goal would be to understand all potential influences on the amount of rice available within every sub-district in the Bojonegoro district. Geographically weighted regression (GWR), a technique used for this study, uses kernels: adaptive bisquare, fixed bisquare, adaptive gaussian, and fixed gaussian. The state office for food security and farming inside the Bojonegoro district provided secondary statistics for the 2018 year that included information on the population, the harvested area, the rice production, and the rice supply. The outcomes from the kernel-fixed gaussian elected model using AIC minimum criteria for the GWR model. The implementation's conclusion is due to the impact of variety in locations. The next research recommendation is a time-series spatial study of the rice problem.

Abstract

Modeling use cases in software development for a system has been well-documented in literature. Today, digital business competition is becoming faster and more integrated. System or software development now not only analyzes the development of the system itself but also considers how the system can later be integrated with other systems or features in other companies' applications. Therefore, designing use case diagrams for integrated systems has become important; however, based on the author's observations, literature discussing this is still very limited. This article aims to identify and to explain the modeling of integration use cases (IUC) through discussions in the case study of school information system management, as well as to educate readers on the importance of IUC based on the correct and proper use of UML notation. This article discusses in detail the fundamental understanding of notations in depicting use case diagrams, the creation of integration use case diagrams (IUCD) for systems integrated with existing and new systems.

Abstract

Abstrak: Transformasi manajemen sekolah di era digital sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas operasional. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk membantu SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya dalam menghadapi tantangan manajemen pendidikan melalui penerapan sistem informasi manajemen sekolah berbasis website. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hardskill staf sekolah dalam pengelolaan data siswa, guru, nilai, serta pembayaran SPP secara terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi sosialisasi, praktik langsung, dan workshop, yang diikuti oleh 15 staf sekolah di SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya. Sistem informasi manajemen yang dirancang mencakup fitur pendaftaran siswa, pengelolaan data, serta pembayaran yang terintegrasi. Untuk memastikan keberhasilan implementasi, evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan angket yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Jenis data evaluasi yang dikumpulkan berupa data kuantitatif berupa angket yang menghasilkan presentase 91,4% dengan kategori valid. Dengan hasil ini, diharapkan mutu layanan pendidikan di SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya dapat meningkat dan menjadi contoh bagi sekolah lain dalam mengadopsi teknologi dalam manajemen pendidikan.Abstract: Transforming school management in the digital era is very important for increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness. This community service activity was carried out to help SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya face educational management challenges through the implementation of a web-based school management information system. The aim of this activity is to improve the hard skills of the school staff in managing student, teacher, grade, and tuition payment data in an integrated manner. The methods used in this activity included socialization, direct practice, and workshops, which were attended by 15 school staff members at SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya. The management information system includes an integrated student registration, data management, and payment features. To ensure successful implementation, an evaluation was carried out through observations and questionnaires administered before and after training. The type of evaluation data collected was quantitative data in the form of a questionnaire that produced a percentage of 91.4% in the valid category. With these results, it is hoped that the quality of educational services at SD Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya can improve and become an example for other schools to adopt technology in education management.

Abstract

Desa Wonosalam di Kabupaten Jombang, Provinsi Jawa Timur, menyimpan potensi digitalisasi peternakan dengan sistem bisnis jual-beli hewan ternak secara jarak jauh untuk orang yang ingin melakukan investasi hewan ternak. Digitalisasi peternakan ini didukung dengan adanya aplikasi mobile yang hanya dapat menyajikan informasi hewan ternak investor secara batch system. Oleh karena permasalahan tersebut, diusulkan inovasi fitur monitoring agar pengguna/investor dapat mengawasi hewan ternaknya secara real time. Fitur ini dirancang untuk mendeteksi tag warna pada setiap hewan ternak, memberikan nuansa gamifikasi kepada investor, serta diharapkan dapat meningkatkan profesionalisme peternak dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap ekonomi desa. Tujuan dari pengembangan fitur monitoring pada peternakan TernakPark adalah untuk mengubah cara pandang investor pada TernakPark agar lebih positif dan meningkatkan kepercayaan investor untuk beternak dengan jarak jauh serta dapat menyejahterakan peternak yang ada di Desa Wonosalam.

Abstract

The researcher partner recommendation system plays a crucial role in fostering academic collaboration in universities, where a challenge for new users is finding suitable research partners. In addressing the limitations of Naïve Bayes classifiers, this article introduces an innovative approach in the form of a non-linear sigmoid activation function. We highlight the urgency of this solution, detail its implementation steps, and describe its substantial contribution to research partner recommendations. This article not only identifies existing obstacles but also proposes revolutionary solutions to enhance the effectiveness of consultation systems in academic environments. A gap in this research is the manual input method for data retrieval, creating weaknesses, susceptibility to human errors, and reduced efficiency in collecting journal data. We propose SPARRING, a researcher recommendation system connected to Google Scholar, in the context of higher education. This approach uses a dataset of faculty members from the Faculty of Information Technology and Business at a private university in Indonesia. The results from Google Scholar extraction, with topic keywords determined by Latent Dirichlet Allocation, are then classified using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. Additionally, we integrate web scraping tools, particularly SerpAPI, to access data from Google Scholar. Through the integration of SerpAPI, the proposed web-based system is capable of providing more accurate recommendations, especially for new users with limited collaboration experience. By incorporating SerpAPI, the proposed web-based system can offer more accurate recommendations, particularly for new users without extensive collaboration experience.
