Abstract

This research study delves into the dynamics of employee behavior in relation to leadership and organizational culture, focusing on the roles of voice and silence as mediating variables. The study aims to understand how employees' perceptions of leadership and the prevailing organizational culture influence their decisions to speak up (voice) or withhold their opinions (silence). By investigating the mediating effects of voice and silence, the study seeks to provide insights into the intricate interplay between leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and employee communication behavior. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to capture a comprehensive view of the subject matter. Through a survey administered to a diverse sample of employees across various industries, data will be collected regarding their perceptions of leadership styles, organizational culture dimensions, and their tendencies to engage in vocal behaviors or remain silent. Concurrently, qualitative interviews with selected participants will delve deeper into the underlying motivations, barriers, and contextual nuances shaping employees' decisions to voice their opinions or remain silent. The study hypothesizes that both leadership styles and organizational culture significantly impact employees' likelihood to engage in voice or silence behaviors. Furthermore, it posits that employees' perceptions of leadership and organizational culture act as mediating factors in this relationship. By employing advanced statistical analyses and thematic coding techniques, the study aims to validate these hypotheses and uncover potential mechanisms through which leadership and culture jointly influence employee communication behavior. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge by shedding light on the complex relationship between leadership, organizational culture, and employee communication behaviors. The study's outcomes could offer practical implications for organizational leaders and managers, helping them comprehend the importance of fostering an inclusive culture that encourages employee voice and reduces the prevalence of silence. Ultimately, the research strives to enrich the understanding of the dynamics that shape employee engagement, communication, and participation within their respective organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect firm value in companies incorporated in the LQ45 Index in Indonesia in the period 2018-2022. The data comes from companies' annual financial statements in the LQ45 Index. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling method by selecting 20 companies from a total of 45 companies in the LQ45 Index. This study covers 2018 to 2022, and data analysis was performed with panel data regression using Eviews 10 software. The results exhibited that overall, the variables of firm size, profitability, capital structure, dividend policy, and stock price positively and significantly influence firm value. Partially, the firm size variable, profitability, as measured by NPM, and capital structure, as measured by DAR, show a negative and significant influence on firm value. In contrast, ROA measures profitability, DER measures capital structure, and the stock price positively and significantly influences firm value. Dividend policy, although showing a negative influence, has no significant effect on firm value.

Abstract

Previous studies have shown that emotional intelligence plays an important role in the educational environment, especially in supporting the psychological well-being of educators. However, research linking emotional intelligence to organizational performance (OP) in the public sector is still lacking, especially among public policy management. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a causal research design with a population of state civil servants at the Siak Regency Health Office with a population of 64 people. The sampling method used in this study is the saturated sampling method. The saturated sampling method is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and distribution using google forms. The data analysis tool in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) processed using SmartPLS 32.9 for data processing. From the findings of this study, it was found that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance (hypothesis 1 is rejected), emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy (hypothesis 2 is accepted), self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance (hypothesis 3 is accepted) and emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance through self-efficacy (hypothesis 4 is accepted).

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the extent of the influence of leadership style, work discipline, and training on employee performance at the Meranti Islands Regency Communications, Information, Statistics, and Coding Service to analyze the extent of the influence of leadership style, work discipline, and training simultaneously on employee performance in the Department Informatics Communication, Statistics, and Coding, Meranti Islands Regency. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, with data analysis techniques using research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The research results found that leadership style, work discipline, and training had a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Meranti Islands Regency Communications, Information, Statistics, and Coding Service. Based on the results of the correlation coefficient analysis, it can be concluded that leadership style, work discipline, and training have a simultaneous or joint influence on improving employee performance at the Meranti Islands Regency Communications, Information, Statistics, and Coding Service. So it can be said that the fourth hypothesis proposed is proven to be true

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of individual morality and internal control on the tendency of accounting fraud in the financial management of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in Siak Regency. Furthermore, it aims to analyze the influence of individual morality on the tendency of accounting fraud in the financial management of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in Siak Regency. Additionally, it seeks to analyze the influence of internal control on the tendency of accounting fraud in the financial management of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in Siak Regency. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The reason for using simple random sampling is because it is the easiest to apply, and every member of the population can be selected as a sample. Individual morality influences fraud prevention. Internal control affects fraud prevention. The research findings indicate that, simultaneously, individual morality and internal control have an impact on fraud prevention. Future researchers can expand the research object by giving more consideration to caution when generalizing the research object.

Abstract

This study uses this research using a quantitative method and the PLS Structural equational modelling (SEM) statistical test will be used for verifying analysis. The research was conducted at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Pekanbaru Branch with a total of 57 respondents. The results of the study show that work motivation as an intervening variable has a positive value on the influence of employee work discipline on employee performance at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Pekanbaru Branch. This means that the work motivation variable as an intervening will strengthen the relationship between the employee work discipline variable and employee performance at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Pekanbaru Branch, because indeed with good work motivation, it will make employees who initially think that work discipline has no effect on their performance at work to change and realize that no matter how small the mistake they make will have an impact on employee performance and the performance of the company's organization, so high motivation is needed in every employee To always prioritize the interests of the company above personal interests while at work. In order to achieve good employee performance, the leadership of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Pekanbaru Branch continues to pay attention to improving employee discipline by being more active in supervising, namely supervising the attitudes, behaviors, work passion, morals, attitudes, and work achievements of their subordinates by trying to always be present or present at the workplace so that it is easy to supervise and can provide solutions if there are difficulties faced by employees. The thing that needs to be considered regarding employee performance is that leaders should continue to maintain and increase attention to employees to maintain productivity through emphasis on employees to always be obedient in carrying out work according to the work procedures that have been made.

Abstract

Permasalahan pengolahan sampah organik dengan konsep eco-enzym dapat mewujudkan lingkungan sekitar kita menjadi lebih ramah. Disamping itu bisa menumbuhkan rasa cinta lingkungan bagi peserta pelatihan khususnya siswa siswi SMA.Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: pertama Mengenalkan program pelatihan pengolahan sampah organik dengan konsep eco-enzym; kedua melalui pengabdian dapat menghasilkan luaran berupa jurnal pengabdian nasional. Manfaat kegiatan ini adalah: pertama melaksanakan edukasi pengolahan sampah organik dengan konsep Eco-enzym; kedua memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat ten-tang produksi pengolahan sampah organik dengan konsep Eco-enzym. Berdasarkan rincian permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra, maka Kami Tim PKM FEB unilak menawarkan beberapa solusi yaitu memberikan edukasi dan sharing ilmu tentang penanganan sampah sejak dini dan pengolahan sampah melalui penyampaian materi oleh TIM PKM FEB unilak. Merealisasikan gerakan zero waste melalui Pelatihan pengolahan sampah organik dengan produk eco-enzym. Kata Kunci : Eco-enzym, Pengolahan, Sampah organik

Abstract

Pandemi Covid 19 yang meluluh lantakkan perekonomian Indonesia juga berimbas kepada perbankan Syariah. Selama covid, kinerja perbankan baik konvensional maupun syariah menurun, dimana hal ini dapat kita lihat dari salah satu indikator kinerja perbankan yaitu kualitas kredit yang ditandai dengan angka NPL/NPF yang terus meningkat. Bank Muamalat merupakan bank Syariah pertama di Indonesia. Dan pada tahun 2024 Bank Muamalat diberitakan diakuisisi oleh UUS BTN dengan tujuan untuk membentuk bank Syariah yang lebih besar. Tetapi di sisi lain Bank Muamalat sebagai pemegang saham terbesar pada BPKH (badan pengelola keuangan haji). Peneliti mencurigai akuisisi dilakukan untuk menyelamatkan Bank Muamalat khususnya untuk meningkatkan kinerja bank agar mampu memberikan penghasilan yang lebih baik kepada pemegang saham, karena berdasarkan pantauan kinerja keuangan Bank Muamalat dalam lima tahun terakhir tampak naik turun yang tergambar dalam laporan keuangan terbaru di tahun 2023 dimana bank muamalat memperoleh laba 13, 29 miliar yang merupakan penurunan laba yang sangat signifikan dibanding tahun 2022 yaitu mencapai 50%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja bank muamalat dan potensi finansial distress bank tersebut. Analisa data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan menghitung rasio keuangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permodalan bank muamalat masih tergolong baik, tetapi profitabilitas yang rendah, dan tidak efisien, dan berpotensi mengalami kebangkrutan.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of inclusive leadership on workplace bullying with self-esteem as a mediating variable. The study was conducted at the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Siak Regency, involving 51 respondents. The research method used is a quantitative approach with saturated sampling technique (census). Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3.2.9 software. The results show that: (1) Inclusive leadership has a positive and significant effect on self-esteem, (2) Inclusive leadership has a positive and significant effect on workplace bullying, (3) Self-esteem has a positive and significant effect on workplace bullying, and (4) Self-esteem mediates the effect of inclusive leadership on workplace bullying. These findings indicate the important role of inclusive leadership and self-esteem in reducing workplace bullying behavior.

Abstract

Crisis management in government is a crucial element for maintaining stability and public trust. Effective crisis management requires good coordination, quick decision-making abilities, and organizational readiness to face sudden challenges. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Workforce Agility on Crisis Management through Higher Administrative Support as a mediating variable. This research is a type of quantitative research with a causality research design and the population is State Civil Apparatus at the Siak Regency Cooperative and UKM Service Office. with a sample of 44 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and distribution using Google Form. The data analysis tool in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) processed using SmartPLS 3.2.9 for data processing. The results of this research are that Workforce Agility has no effect on Higher Administrative Support, Workforce Agility has a positive and significant effect on Crisis Management, Higher Administrative Support has a positive and significant effect on Crisis Management and Workforce Agility has no effect on Crisis Management through Higher Administrative Support.
