Abstract

Pedagang  acung  di  Desa  Batur  Tengah  merupakan sekelompok  masyarakat  yang mencari nafkah dengan menjual produk wisata berupa souvenir yang didapatnya melalui pemasok dari Gianyar dan Denpasar. Namun, di dalam menjual produk wisata tersebut, mereka mengalami berbagai kendala, diantaranya larangan yang dibuat guide kepada kliennya/wisatawan untuk membeli produk yang ditawarkan oleh si pedagang acung karena kualitas yang kurang bagus dan harga yang cukup mahal. Hal ini membuat pedagang acung mengalami kesulitan, dimana mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam pemenuhan   kebutuhan   hidup   mereka   karena pendapatan   yang   kurang.   Dengan demikian, perlu adanya penengah yakni pihak pemerintah yang dapat memposisikan diri sebagai penghubung antara pedagang acung dnegan guide. Secara teknis metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menjadi enam tahapan yakni: 1) Melakukan pendekatan dengan dinas kebudayaan dan pariwisata Kabupaten Bangli; 2) Menginformasikan kegiatan kepada Kepala Desa setempat; 3) Mencari tempat untuk dijadikan sebagai tempat pelatihan dalam kegiatan P2M; 4) Mendata peserta; 5) Melaksanakan kegiatan dengan waktu pelatihan dilaksanakan satu hari yakni pada tanggal 4 September 2012, Pukul 08.00 wita – selesai. Yang menjadi fokus dalam kegiatan ini  adalah  dinas  kebudayan  dan pariwisata  Kabupaten  Bangli agar  mau memiliki komitmen untuk mengembangkan pariwisata yang berbasis masyarakat dan memperdulikan masyarakat, khususnya perhatian terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan pedagang acung karena mereka lah yang memiliki daerah tersebut, yang tinggal dan menjaga wilayah tersebut untuk tetap menjadi kawasan wisata yang mau dikunjungi oleh wisatawan.

Abstract

Wisata Religi merupakan salah satu perjalanan wisata yang dikembangkan dengan menyikapi fenomena manusia yang kembali sadar sebagai manusia yang homo religius. Namun, banyaknya pekerjaan yang sedang dijalani umat Hindu khususnya sering kali mereka mengalami kesulitan untuk mengatur waktunya dalam melakukan perjalanan religi yakni ke pura-pura. Memahami kondisi tersebut, maka pengembangan wisata religi yang dikembangkan oleh para pelaku pariwisata ternyata telah mampu memberikan solusi bagi umat Hindu yang ingin melakukan aktifitas religi, dimana mereka menyerahkan perjalanan religinya kepada travel agent, yang akhirnya melahirkan paket wisata religi. Keunikan pura yang ada di Bali ternyata tidak saja menarik untuk dijadikan sebagai tempat untuk bersembahyang, namun beberapa dari pengunjung juga tertarik untuk memahami dan mempelajari tentang pura. Berusaha mengambil peluang tersebut, dan menyesuaikan dengan bidang keahlian yang dimiliki maka paket wisata religi yang dikembangkan oleh travel Undiksha yang sudah diberi nama Ganesha Tours and Travel memiliki keungulan yakni:1) memberikan layanan perjalanan wisata yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen; 2) mampu menjelaskan keunikan pura dengan memahami pura berdasarkan kajian secara semiotika khususnya membaca hidden transcript yang ada di setiap pahatan dan artefak yang ada di pura; 3) mampu mengajak masyarakat untuk lebih memahami potensi pura sehingga mau menjaga pura sebagai tempat suci sebagai objek wisata, untuk itu perlu dilakukan pendampingan secara teratur; 4) Travel ini juga bisa menjadi tempat untuk belajar bagi mahasiswa yang mengambil jurusan kepariwisataan. Selain wisata religi, travel ini juga mengembangkan jasa layanan wisata lainnya seperti melayani wisata riset bagi peneliti, dan kegiatan studi lapangan bagi mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, travel ini tidak saja bermanfaat bagi lembaga, dosen dan mahasiswa, namun juga bagi masyarakat. Usaha ini akhirnya dapat memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi lembaga Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, baik pengelola IbIKK, kontribusi pendapatan ke lembaga, bagi LPM dan tempat pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

The rapid increase in women's employment opportunities in Indonesia’s tourism sector, particularly in the informal sector, highlights their crucial role in the economic development of tourism villages. This study examines women's participation in the hotel industry and their adaptation and innovation in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Bali, Banyuwangi, Banten, and Jogja. Using participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, the research finds that women play strategic roles as business managers, tourism drivers, and cultural preservers. However, challenges such as limited capital access and market constraints persist, influenced by resource availability, infrastructure, local culture, and market potential. Despite these barriers, women leverage government and private sector training programs to enhance their skills and overcome obstacles. Strengthening women’s empowerment in tourism villages is essential for sustaining local economic growth and improving community welfare.

Abstract

Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) merupakan program bantuan bersyarat yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga miskin melalui akses pendidikan, kesehatan, dan kesejahteraan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kualitas manajemen pelaksanaan PKH terhadap dua aspek utama, yaitu efektivitas distribusi bantuan dan responsivitas layanan kepada penerima manfaat di Kabupaten Buleleng. Sebanyak 155 responden penerima manfaat dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk memastikan data yang relevan dan akurat. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, sementara analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) guna mengevaluasi pengaruh kualitas manajemen terhadap dua variabel dependen tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas manajemen yang lebih baik meningkatkan efektivitas distribusi bantuan secara signifikan. Distribusi bantuan yang lebih efektif dicapai melalui perencanaan yang matang, pembaruan data penerima manfaat, dan pengorganisasian yang terstruktur. Selain itu, responsivitas layanan juga meningkat dengan manajemen yang baik, memungkinkan layanan yang lebih cepat dan akurat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penerima manfaat. Elemen-elemen manajemen seperti perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengendalian (POAC) menjadi faktor penentu dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan program. Rekomendasi strategis yang diusulkan meliputi pelatihan petugas lapangan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial, implementasi teknologi informasi untuk monitoring distribusi bantuan, dan evaluasi berbasis data untuk meningkatkan transparansi serta akuntabilitas program. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya intervensi yang berfokus pada kelompok atau daerah dengan kualitas manajemen rendah, di mana peningkatan pada kelompok tersebut memberikan dampak yang lebih signifikan. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam mendukung kebijakan sosial yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan, sekaligus memastikan manfaat program diterima oleh masyarakat yang benar-benar membutuhkan

Abstract

Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is one of the tertiary institutions that demands superior skills, increased productivity and knowledge related to employee performance with the aim of encouraging university performance achievements. This demand emphasizes the need for career development for educational staff at Undiksha. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of educational staff career development programs to improve university performance. This study aims to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the career development program for Undiksha education staff. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that Undiksha has various career development programs for education staff through the provision of training, workshops, comparative studies, as well as through educational assistance to increase the education level (S-2 and S-3) of education staff. Based on the evaluation carried out on the career development program for educational staff, the programs implemented by Undiksha were able to improve the university's overall performance. The results of this research are expected to contribute both theoretically and practically related to the importance of career development for educational staff in tertiary institutions in order to improve university performance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh (1) penempatan terhadap kepuasan kerja, (2) lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja, (3) penempatan dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuntitatif kausal. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian populasi dengan responden dengan seluruh pegawai tetap dinas pariwisata Kabupaten Buleleng yang berjumlah 50 orang. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dan sumber datanya yaitu data dikumpulkan dengan metode pencatatan dokumen dan kuesioner serta di analisis dengan menggunakan analisi regresi liner berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penempatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. (2) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. (3) penempatan dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai pada dinas pariwisata Kabupaten Buleleng.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work culture, work motivation, and work environment on employee job satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) Customer Service Unit (ULP) Singaraja. The phenomenon underlying this research is the mismatch between the company’s promoted work culture values and actual practices in the field, the decline in employee motivation due to heavy workloads, and the suboptimal physical work environment conditions. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consists of all 121 employees of PLN ULP Singaraja, with a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 21. The results show that work culture and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while the work environment has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect job satisfaction, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. These findings emphasize that improving employee job satisfaction is more effectively achieved through strengthening individual motivation and internalizing work culture values, accompanied by maintaining the existing work environment. This study is expected to serve as a strategic reference for management in designing policies to enhance employee well-being and productivity.

Abstract

Werdhi Bhuwana Village, located in Mengwi District, Badung Regency, serves as an example of a rural community in Badung that continues to rely on conventional media such as banners and billboards as visual communication tools to disseminate information to its residents. The use of billboards in strategic locations—such as in front of the village office, at major intersections, and in other public spaces—remains common and serves as a primary medium for conveying information about village programs and governmental achievements. This phenomenon indicates that, despite the rapid development and dominance of digital media, printed visual media such as banners have not been entirely replaced. This situation calls for concrete and measurable solutions from the Werdhi Bhuwana Village Government. By implementing the solutions proposed in this study, it is expected that banners will not only persist but also improve in effectiveness and relevance as modern communication tools amidst the current digital disruption. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, chosen to provide an in-depth and contextual understanding of the existence and effectiveness of banner (billboard) design utilized by the Werdhi Bhuwana Village Government as an information medium for the community.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) in the relationship between product quality, brand image, and smartphone purchasing decisions. A quantitative survey was employed, targeting Samsung smartphone users in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. Data were collected from 156 respondents through convenience sampling at six major smartphone retail outlets. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data using the Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) method. The results reveal that both product quality and brand image have a significant positive effect on e-WOM. Additionally, product quality was found to have a direct positive influence on purchasing decisions. However, brand image and e-WOM did not show a significant direct effect on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, e-WOM did not mediate the relationship between either product quality or brand image and purchasing decisions. These findings suggest that tangible aspects of product performance influence Samsung users more in this regional market than online reviews or brand perception. The study implies that maintaining high product quality is critical, as it remains the only significant driver of purchase decisions in this context. Future research is recommended to explore the influence of social or cultural factors that may explain the weak impact of e-WOM and brand image on consumer behavior in localized smartphone markets.

Abstract

The hotel industry is increasingly under pressure to implement sustainable practices due to environmental concerns. This research explores the implementation of environmentally friendly actions carried out by front office staff at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel, which aims to increase environmental awareness among guests and employees. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, data was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis. These findings reveal a significant commitment to sustainability in front office operations, reflected in waste reduction, energy efficiency and guest engagement in environmentally friendly practices.  This research shows that the hotel's commitment to sustainability has fostered a culture of environmental awareness, leading to positive behavioral changes and increased guest satisfaction. The integration of environmentally friendly practices into hotel operations and the active participation of staff and guests in these initiatives have proven instrumental in advancing the hotel's sustainability agenda. This study contributes to understanding the practical application of environmental sustainability in the hospitality industry, highlighting the important role of front office staff in promoting environmentally friendly initiatives.
