Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work culture, work motivation, and work environment on employee job satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) Customer Service Unit (ULP) Singaraja. The phenomenon underlying this research is the mismatch between the company’s promoted work culture values and actual practices in the field, the decline in employee motivation due to heavy workloads, and the suboptimal physical work environment conditions. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consists of all 121 employees of PLN ULP Singaraja, with a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 21. The results show that work culture and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while the work environment has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect job satisfaction, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. These findings emphasize that improving employee job satisfaction is more effectively achieved through strengthening individual motivation and internalizing work culture values, accompanied by maintaining the existing work environment. This study is expected to serve as a strategic reference for management in designing policies to enhance employee well-being and productivity.

Abstract

Werdhi Bhuwana Village, located in Mengwi District, Badung Regency, serves as an example of a rural community in Badung that continues to rely on conventional media such as banners and billboards as visual communication tools to disseminate information to its residents. The use of billboards in strategic locations—such as in front of the village office, at major intersections, and in other public spaces—remains common and serves as a primary medium for conveying information about village programs and governmental achievements. This phenomenon indicates that, despite the rapid development and dominance of digital media, printed visual media such as banners have not been entirely replaced. This situation calls for concrete and measurable solutions from the Werdhi Bhuwana Village Government. By implementing the solutions proposed in this study, it is expected that banners will not only persist but also improve in effectiveness and relevance as modern communication tools amidst the current digital disruption. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, chosen to provide an in-depth and contextual understanding of the existence and effectiveness of banner (billboard) design utilized by the Werdhi Bhuwana Village Government as an information medium for the community.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) in the relationship between product quality, brand image, and smartphone purchasing decisions. A quantitative survey was employed, targeting Samsung smartphone users in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. Data were collected from 156 respondents through convenience sampling at six major smartphone retail outlets. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data using the Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) method. The results reveal that both product quality and brand image have a significant positive effect on e-WOM. Additionally, product quality was found to have a direct positive influence on purchasing decisions. However, brand image and e-WOM did not show a significant direct effect on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, e-WOM did not mediate the relationship between either product quality or brand image and purchasing decisions. These findings suggest that tangible aspects of product performance influence Samsung users more in this regional market than online reviews or brand perception. The study implies that maintaining high product quality is critical, as it remains the only significant driver of purchase decisions in this context. Future research is recommended to explore the influence of social or cultural factors that may explain the weak impact of e-WOM and brand image on consumer behavior in localized smartphone markets.

Abstract

The local culinary industry has great potential to attract tourists, but is often hampered by a lack of attractive packaging and effective marketing strategies. This research aims to find out how THK-based packaging design can influence consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions regarding tourism products in Bali and the challenges faced in implementing THK-based packaging. The research uses qualitative methods to gain an in-depth understanding of how the Tri Hita Karana (THK) principles can be integrated into tourism products and how this influences the tourist experience. In-depth interviews can be conducted with relevant stakeholders, such as tourism product developers, marketers and tourists. Through interviews, researchers can understand their perceptions and experiences regarding the implementation and impact of THK in tourism products. In this research, an ethnographic study was also carried out, which involved participatory observation at Bali tourist locations, which will help researchers gain insight into daily interactions between tourists, local communities and the environment. This method is useful for seeing directly how THK principles are integrated into daily practice and how this influences the tourist experience. Through this method, several Balinese culinary product designs were discovered, in the form of food and drinks that combine the Tri Hita Karana (THK) principles. The Packaging of Culinary products in the form of food and drinks sold around tourist attractions and souvenir shops not only offer uniqueness, but also imbue tourists with values rooted in Balinese culture.

Abstract

Abstract

In the landscape of modern vocational education, the transformation of Vocational High Schools (SMK) into Regional Public Service Agencies (BLUD) through the Teaching Factory (TEFA) mechanism necessitates the adoption of professional business management practices. This study aims to deconstruct the factors influencing student purchase intention within school-based retail units, utilizing Smensimart at SMKN 1 Singaraja as a case study. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal research design, this study involved 190 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression following rigorous validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The findings reveal that price perception, product quality, and promotion simultaneously exert a significant influence on purchase intention, with a coefficient of determination () of 69.7%. Partially, product quality emerged as the strongest predictor (β=0.401), followed by price perception (β=0.394) and promotion (β=0.297). These findings challenge the traditional assumption that students are exclusively price-sensitive consumers, suggesting instead that they are rational consumers who prioritize value and quality. This article contributes theoretically to the educational marketing literature and offers practical implications for school business unit managers in designing robust marketing mix strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gap in competency-based job training programs at the UPTD BLK of Buleleng Regency in improving the quality of human resources in accordance with industry needs. The background of this research is the mismatch between workforce competencies and the increasingly dynamic demands of the labor market. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the planning of training programs has not been fully based on sustainable industry needs. Instructor competencies are generally adequate, but still require improvement in adapting to technology and applying innovative learning methods. Training facilities are considered sufficient; however, they have not fully met modern industry standards. In addition, strategies to enhance human resource quality need to be strengthened, particularly in building partnerships with the business and industrial sectors (DUDI). The SWOT analysis reveals strengths in government support, weaknesses in limited facilities and lack of industry synergy, opportunities in the growing demand for skilled labor, and threats from increasing labor competition and rapid technological advancements.
