Abstract

WHO and UNICEF state that exclusive breastfeeding helps children survive with antibodies they need. Mother's knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding can be increased through health education. Technology makes information easier to access, especially since the current COVID-19 pandemic has made direct contact communication avoided. This encourages the use of electronic-based learning media which contains visual elements and audio elements in the form of stop motion videos. The aim of this study was to know the effect of stop motion video on increasing knowledge of pregnant women on third trimester pregnant women. This research was a quasi- experimental study with Nonequivalent pre- test and post-test with control group design. This research was conducted from September 2021 until January 2022. The population was third trimester pregnant women who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sample are 18 women for experimental groups and 18 women for the control group. Data analysis using Mann-Whitney. The mean rank of knowledge in the experimental group was 21.81 and, in the control, group was 15.19 with p value = 0.046. This shows that there was an effect of giving intervention both in the experimental group and the control group, but the more influential in this study was the experimental group. There was effect of stop motion video about exclusive breastfeeding on increasing knowledge of pregnant women on third trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

WHO estimates that 500,000 new cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed with around 3,750 deaths per year. One of the efforts to reduce cervical cancer is early detection (IVA/Papsmear). Public awareness to conduct early detection needs to be sought by disseminating information about the dangers of cervical cancer. One effort that can be done is to provide health education to Fertile Age Women (WUS), which is a risk group for cervical cancer. The use of pocket books is one alternative media to deliver messages about early detection of cervical cancer. The purpose of the activities is to increase knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer. The method is community education with counseling to increase understanding and awareness about early detection of cervical cancer by using a pocket book. Participants were 50 women in Suryodiningratan Urban Village, Yogyakarta City. Characteristics of participants are mostly over 35 years old, have 2-3 children, have a high school education and are not working (Housewife). The level of knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer is mostly good. The results of the activity showed an increase in the number of partisipants with good knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer before and after the use of a pocket book. Pocket books can be an alternative for health promotion about early detection of cervical cancer.

Abstract

Health informatics has emerged as a pivotal tool in transforming mental health services, offering new possibilities for diagnostic precision, treatment planning, and patient engagement. This narrative review aimed to examine the role of health informatics in improving mental health outcomes, with a focus on Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), mobile health applications, artificial intelligence (AI), and inclusive data practices. A systematic literature search was conducted across databases including Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, using targeted keywords related to digital health and psychiatry. Studies were screened based on defined inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure methodological rigor and relevance. The findings reveal that CDSS improves diagnostic accuracy and comorbidity detection, though disparities exist in adoption between developed and developing countries. Mobile health applications demonstrate effectiveness in suicide prevention and trauma management, particularly among youth, but adoption is uneven across demographic groups. AI and big data contribute to early detection and personalized care, yet raise significant concerns about bias, privacy, and transparency. Inclusive data practices, especially in collecting sexual orientation and gender identity information, are essential for reducing disparities and promoting equitable care. Discussion highlights the need for supportive policy frameworks, adequate funding, digital infrastructure, and clinician training, alongside participatory approaches that ensure cultural sensitivity. This review concludes that health informatics holds substantial promise for improving accessibility, quality, and equity in mental health services. Yet, overcoming systemic, infrastructural, and ethical barriers remains essential to fully addressing the global mental health burden.

Abstract

The community services aim to identify multiple intelligences to optimize adolescent health holistically. Methods of implementation with surveys and education. The survey was conducted with multiple intelligence cards filled out by adolescents to obtain multiple intelligence data. Adolescents circled the answers according to the statements on the multiple intelligence cards that fit their circumstances. Score 1 if very inappropriate, score 2 if not very appropriate, score 3 if appropriate, and score 4 if very appropriate to the adolescent. Analysis using descriptive methods. This community service activity was carried out from April to June 2023. The location of the activity was a private junior high school in Ciparay District, Bandung Regency, West Java. The target of the activity was junior high school teenagers. The number of participants was 149 teenagers. The community services results show that the first and second highest rank is interpersonal intelligence. The third rank is kinesthetic intelligence. The conclusion is that most students have interpersonal intelligence. The school should map students according to their needs so it can optimize their potential to increase adolescent health holistically.

Abstract

The use of long hormonal contraceptives can disrupt the balance of estrogen in the body, resulting in abnormal cell changes. This study aimed to determine a correlation between the duration of hormonal contraception and risk of cervical cancer. This study used a case-control design. The population were patients who had examined at a cancer installation and obstetrics-gynecology polyclinic Dr. Sardjito Hospital in 2018. Case samples were 95 women have cervical cancer diagnosis and control were 95 women with a negative pap smear. Sampling with random sampling. Dependent variable cervical cancer and independent variable the duration of hormonal contraception are obtained from medical records. Cervical cancer is assessed by doctor’s diagnosis. Data analysis used logistic regression. Results showed that 44.7% of samples used long-term hormonal contraception (over 5 years). Length of use of hormonal contraception had a significant correlation with the incidence of cervical cancer (p-value < 0.01). Hormonal contraceptive use more than 5 years have a risk 4.2 times (95% CI 1.01-5.69) of cervical cancer than using less than 5 years after being controlled with the first marriage age and parity

This study used historical cohort. The subjects of this study were 7-12-month old infants living in area of Borobudur Primary Health Care Primary Health Care, Central Java Province, Indonesia in 2011-2012. Independent variable of exclusive breastfeeding was when infants received only breast milk without any supplementary food or drink including water since birth until the age of 6 months. Data were obtained from medical records of children. The emotional development was assessed directly by using questionnaires on emotional and mental problems. Data analysis used cox regression. This study found that provision of exclusive breast milk was evidently correlated with child’s emotional development. Infants who did not receive exclusive breastfeeding had 2.96 higher risk of having abnormal emotional development than infants who received exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding greatly influences emotional development of the child.
