Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in the planting media of kolang kaling fruit peel waste and coffee skin on the height, number of leaves and leaf width of begonia plants. The method used in this research is a quantitative experimental method with two treatments of growing media, namely the waste of kolang kaling fruit peel and coffee rind waste. Data collection techniques using observation sheets. The results of observations on the growth of begonias were analyzed using independent t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in begonia plant height with the value of Sig. of 0.648. The number of begonia plant leaves obtained the value of Sig. by 0.007 and the width of the leaves of begonia plants by 0.309. In conclusion, there are differences in the use of planting media for waste skin of kolang kaling fruit and coffee husk waste planting media on the number of leaves on begonia plants. Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of moss in the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Region of Ulu Terawas STL Musi Rawas Regency, as well as Abiotic Factors in the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Area in the District of Ulu Terawas STL Musi Rawas District. This research is descriptive Descriptive: direct observation in the location of the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Area, STL Ulu Terawas Musi Rawas Regency with a roaming method or exploring the Waterfall Area. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Types of moss found in 2 Classes namely Bryopsida and Hepaticopsida, consisting of 5 Orders namely Pottiales, Bryales, Fissidentales, Hypnales, and Jungermaniales, consisting of 5 Families namely Pottiaceae, Batramiaceae, Fissidentaceae, Hypnaceae and Plagiochilaceae, consisting of 6 Genus Hyophila, Philotiphll, Philotropll , and Plagiochila, consisting of 7 species namely Hyophila javanica, Philonotis hastata, Fissidens atroviridis, Hyophila apiculata, Ectropothecium sp., Taxiphyllum sp., and Plagiochila asplenoides. The Abioic Factor is pH Temperature which is an average of 6.6, temperatures with an average of 27 ºC, humidity with an average of 6.3% and at an appropriate light intensity of 285lux.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program that our team proposes is expected to help the people of Mojorejo Village in the manufacture and marketing of fragrances from coffee beans. Mojorejo Village located in Selupu Rejang District is an agricultural area that produces many types of agricultural crop commodities in the form of vegetables and coffee. Not many people know that apart from being sold raw and made into coffee grounds, they can also be used as fragrances. The fragrance from the coffee beans produced can be used as a car or room fragrance. Fragrances from the coffee beans produced can be traded offline or online at competitive prices. Thus the product in the form of fragrance from coffee beans can also increase income for residents. But unfortunately, the people of Mojorejo Village do not yet have the knowledge and skills in making and marketing coffee beans as air fresheners or cars. To achieve this goal, we as a team tried to use four methods, namely observation, socialization, training and continued with direct practice. The long-term goal of this activity is to create business opportunities for the residents of Mojorejo Village by using coffee beans to make air fresheners for rooms and cars. The output targets of the activity are (1) knowledge, skills and income of partners increase, (2) produce a product in the form of fragrance from coffee beans. Publication output target: service results published in community service journals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity index of ferns found in determine abiotic factors and the sepecies of ferns (Pteridophyta) in the area of Curug Embun Waterfall, Marga Bakti District, North Lubuklinggau District I. The research method used is quantitative method. The data collection technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique using the roaming  method.  The  results  showed  that  the diversity  of  ferns  (Pteridophyta)  in  the Waterfall Area of Curug Embun, Marga Bakti Village, was found in 4 orders consisting of; Selaginellales, Gleichenialales, Polypodiales and Chizaeales. Consists of 11 families namely: Selaginellaceae, Gleicheniaceae, Davaliaceae, Dryoptericeae, Pteridaceae, Aspleniaceae, Blechnaceae, Onocleaeceae, Athyriceae, Polypodiaceae, Lygodiaceae. And consists of 13 genera, namely: Selaginella, Gleichenia, Davalia, Nephrolepis, Rumohra, Drynaria, Dryopteris, Adiantum, Stenochlaena, Blchnum, Athyrium, Phymatodes, Drymoglossum and Lygodium. Based on the results of measurements of abiotic factors in the Curug Embun Waterfall area, soil pH was obtained with an average of 7-8, air temperature ranged from 29-33.2ºC, soil humidity ranged from 71-83%, and light intensity was 1367.33 lux. and the results of the analysis of the diversity of H' species of the Pteridophyta division in the Curug Dew Waterfall area obtained 2.511, dominance obtained 0.076, species density obtained 0.637 and relative density obtained 100%.

Abstract

Agricultural production in the Selupu Rejang Subdistrict is large enough in quantity to become a center for sending agricultural products to various regions in Indonesia. High market demand makes groups of farmers use a variety of ways to increase agricultural production. This PKM program can provide solutions to the problem of the availability of increasingly scarce fertilizers as well as the problem of declining soil fertility. The program also increases knowledge about processing techniques and adds economic income to agricultural groups in processing liquid organic fertilizer based on vegetable waste. In addition, this program is able to encourage partners, especially agricultural groups to switch to oragnic agriculture that reduces funding for fertilizer use and can make the land on agricultural land rejuvenated and fertile so that it supports the agriculture of the area. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the types and potential of macroscopic fungi in oil palm plantations at PT Musi Lestari Plantation and PT Djuanda Sawit Plantation in Musi Rawas Regency. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Sampling is done by using a purposive sampling method with roaming techniques. The macroscopic fungal species found in the field were made into wet herbarium and identified. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study obtained 35 species. 35 species of macroscopic fungi including Clitoybe dealbata, Clitoybe decembris, Collybia sp., Collybia chirata, Collybia confluens, Collybia butyracea, Marasminus sp., Boletus sp., Hipholoma marginatum, Pleurotus varreatus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Crepurususus spidus, Crepurususus sp. rameus, Lactarius sp., Volvariella volvaceae, rhacodes Lepiota, Amanita fulva, Amanita virosa, Parasola lactea, Auricularia polytricha, Spongipelis sp., Grivola sp., Grivola sp., Grivola sp., Fvom phomentarius, Ganoderma sp. , Panus sp., Coltricia sp., Coltricia perennes, Pycnoporus cinnabarinus, Tulostoma sp., Lycoperdon gemmatum, Peziza repanda, and Peziza vesiculosa. The conclusions of 35 species were found, belonging to 6 orders, 16 families, and 24 genera. 8 species or 23% macroscopic fungi can be consumed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer of banana stem on the growth and productivity of 3 types of mustard. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative with an experimental method. The study design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and eight replications. Data collection by observation using observation sheets. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) in one path and continued with LSD. Based on the results of the research, there are differences in the effect of giving Liquid Organic Fertilizer to banana stem on the plant height parameters of three types of mustard. The plant height parameters of chinese green cabbage, and collards meat are significantly different from those of green mustard. There are differences in the effect of giving Liquid Organic Fertilizer banana stem to the parameters of the number of leaves of three types of mustard. The parameters of the number of chinese green cabbage and green mustard leaves are significantly different from collards meat. There is a difference in the effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer on banana stem on the wet weight parameters of three types of mustard. The parameters of wet weight of chinese green cabbage and green mustard are significantly different from collards meat. Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of plants of the Euphorbiaceae family in Topos District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu. The research was conducted in May-June 2018 in 7 villages in Topos District, Lebong Regency, Talang Baru 1 Village, Talang Baru 2 Village, Talang Donok 1 Village, Talang Donok 2 Village, Anjay Siang Village, Suka Negri Village, and Villages Bandar Agung. The study was conducted by survey and interview the specimens were taken and analyzed descriptively. From the results of the study founded 20 plant spesies Euphorbiaceae family with 11 genera, namely: Acalypha 1 spesies (Acalypha indica), Aleurites 1 spesies (Aleurites maluccana), Codiaeum 5 spesies (Codiaeum Sp, Codiaeum 'Finger', Codiaeum 'Cronstandt', Codiaeum variegatum 'Norma', Codiaeum variegatum 'Exsotica red'), Euphorbia 4 spesies (Euphorbia hirta, Euphorbia pulcherrima, Euphorbia milli, Euphorbia milli 'Golden eagle'), Excoecaria 1 spesies (Excoecaria chinchinensis), Hevea 1 spesies (Hevea brasilensis), Jartopha 2 spesies (Jatropha curcas, Jatropha gossypiifolia), Manihot 1 spesies (Manihot esculenta), Pedilanthus 1 spesies (Pedilanthus tithymaloides), Phyllanthus 2 spesies (Phyllanthus urinaria, Phyllanthus acidus), Sauropus 1 spesies (Sauropus androguns).

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman tumbuhan bambu di Kawasan Bukit Cogong Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat petak ganda yang diletakkan menurut keberadaan tumbuh bambu secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian di kawasan Bukit Cogong menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 7 spesies bambu yaitu Bambu Apus (Gigantochloa apus), Bambu Andong (Gigantochloa pseudoarundinaceae), Bambu Ampel (Bambusa vulgaris Schrad), bambu gadeng kuneng (Bambusa vulgaris var), Bambu Cina (Bambusa multiplex), Bambu Tamiang (Schizostachyum silicatum), dan Bambu Betung (Dendrocalamus asper). Indeks keanekaragaman bambu yang ada di kawasan Bukit Cogong termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Kata Kunci: keanekaragaman, bambu, Bukit Cogong Abstract This study aims to determine the diversity index of bamboo plants in Bukit Cogong, Musi Rawas Regency.  The data collection technique used the double plot squares method which was placed according to the presence of bamboo growing by purposive sampling.  Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative.  The results of research in Bukit Cogong area show that there are 7 species of bamboo, namely Apus Bamboo (Gigantochloa apus), Andong Bamboo (Gigantochloa pseudoarundinaceae), Ampel Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris Schrad), Gadeng kuneng bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris Var), Chinese Bamboo (Bambusa multiplex), Bamboo Tamiang (Schizostachyum silicatum), and Betung Bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper).  The bamboo diversity index in the Bukit Cogong area is in the low category.Keywords: diversity, bamboo, Bukit Cogong

Abstract

Produksi pertanian di Kecamatan Selupu Rejang secara kuantitas cukup besar sehingga menjadi daerah sentra sumber pengiriman produk pertanian hingga diberbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Permintaan pasar yang tinggi membuat kelompok petani menggunakan berbagai cara guna meningkatkan produksi pertanian, diantaranya dengan menggunakan pupuk kimia dalam jumlah besar guna mempercepat proses penanaman dan produksi, tetapi kualitas hasil pertanian yang didapatkan semakin menurun disebabkan penurunan kualitas tanah akibat penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlangsung terus menerus. Kecamatan Selupu Rejang juga dikenal sebagai penghasil kopi, sehingga banyak heller pengolahan buah kopi menghasilkan limbah kulit buah kopi yang melimpah setiap harinya. Limbah kulit buah kopi yang melimpah tidak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah tersebut. Program kemitraan masyarakat stimulus (PKMS) ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan kurangnya pupuk yang sangat dibutuhkan Kelompok pertanian dengan cara mengolah limbah kulit buah kopi menjadi pupuk organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan bagi pertaniaan di Kecamatan Selupu Rejang lebong. Pertanian organik dapat mengatasi penurunan kualitas lahan pertanian sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi pertanian. PKMS ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan petani sehingga petani dalam penyediaan pupuk organik di bidang pertanian sehingga terjadi peningkatan dalam perekonomian. Pengolahan pupuk organik menggunakan metode anaerob yang diawali dengan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi hasil produk secara berkelanjutan kepada kelompok tani di Desa Sumber Bening Kecamatan Selupu Rejang. Data yang didapatkan telah terjadi peningkatan mencapai 93 % untuk keterampilan dan 96% untuk pengetahuan mitra kelompok tani dalam pembuatan pupuk organik limbah kulit buah kopi.
