Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) What is the strategy for handling victims of sexual violence against women by the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning, Karanganyar Regency. 2) What are the problems encountered in handling victims of sexual violence against women and the solutions. In this study using qualitative research methods. In this study the results were found: 1) strategies for handling victims of sexual violence against women by the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning in Karanganyar Regency, namely (1) receiving reports, (2) outreach to victims, (3) case processing, ( 4) mediation, (5) medical, psychological, legal assistance, (6) psychological and trauma recovery. 2) The problems encountered in handling victims of sexual violence against women and their solutions are (1) lack of companion staff, namely by engaging other institutions that have the same goals, (2) victims who are not open, overcome with refreshing minds, (3) families who lack cooperative given an understanding, (4) the lack of understanding of the community about the agency that handles cases of sexual violence, overcome by conducting socialization.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) optimization of industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, (2) analyzing the inhibiting factors of the Klaten District Office of Industry and Labor in fulfilling the right to job training as a form of developing work skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. With data sourcess obtained using observations at the Industry and Labor Office of Klaten Regency and the Sewing Work Training Participants’, food processing and welding Homes, interviews with the Training and Work Placement Section and four sewing job training participant, two new entrepreneurial participants in food processing and welding and documentation that suports the research program. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Data validity was tested using data triangulation amd method triangulation. While the data analysis technique according to Muhadjir with (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) conclusions. The results of this research are (1) optimization of industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, there are several things that are not yet optimal, including a) Not yet having a Job Training Center b) There are still problems with selection process and lack of job training program. Step taken by the Klaten Regency Industry and Labor Service to optimize job training by a) Utilizing Job Training Institutions b) Screening selection participation c) Increasing the number of training according to needs d) Providing other alternatives (2) Inhibiting factors for the industry and labor services in an effort to fulfill the right to job training as a form of job skills development in Klaten Regency, there are two things, including for the poor a) There are some teaching staff who do not have competent certificates and b) The training participant factor. And for people who are not in the poor category, a) There are no Job Training Centers, b) Inadequate infrastructure c) Training participant factors, and d) Programs for job placement are still limited.

Abstract

Work is self-actualization by channeling and developing abilities to be more productive to achieve a prosperous life. Work is one of the rights that every person, including people with disabilities, is born with, and must be fulfilled and respected. However, in its implementation, there is a lack of attention from the authorities related to employment issues and legal guarantees. This research analyzes the civic engagement of people with disabilities through Induk Disabilitas Purworejo, in which the majority of members are people with physical disabilities fighting for their right to work. This research also analyzes the supporting and inhibiting factors for the success of civic engagement. The research method is qualitative with purposive sampling. Research data were gathered through observation, interviews, and document studies. The result of the discussion is that the civic engagement of people with disabilities through Induk Disabilitas Purworejo in fighting for the right to work is actualized through activity programmes such as advocacy, working with local agencies and opening small trainings at regular meetings in accordance with the components and indicators of civic engagement. In addition, there are supporting factors that are analyzed such as motivation and a sense of responsibility and skills from people with disabilities supported by the role of family, Induk Disabilitas Purworejo assistants, wheelchair aids, and civic cohesion. There are inhibiting factors that affect civic engagement, namely the lack of attention from the Regent regarding the guarantee of legal rights for people with disabilities and lack of accessibility during the implementation of activity programmes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) The role of the non-governmental organization SPEK-HAM Surakarta in providing legal aid services to women victims of sexual violence, (2) The obstacles faced by the non-governmental organization SPEK-HAM Surakarta in providing legal aid services to women victims of sexual violence. This study used qualitative research methods. In this research, the results were obtained in the form of: (1) The role of the Non-Governmental Organization SPEK-HAM Surakarta in providing legal aid services to women victims of sexual violence, namely (1) Receiving SPEK-HAM Case Complaint Reports; (2) Approach to Victims and Legal Consultation; (3) Mediation; (4) Legal Assistance. 2) The obstacles experienced are (1) During the mediation process, if the case is continued to the realm of law, the victim's family is also involved in the case, overcome by mediation accompanied by compensation, (2) the lack of perspective from the Police towards women victims of sexual violence is overcome by providing education and understanding for the police so they can handle cases of sexual violence based on the victim's perspective.
